- Take a cinematic journey and explore the wonders of Kakadu, Australia's largest terrestrial National Park located in the Northern Territory. See wild crocodiles, buffalo and extensive bird-life. Watch dawn break over a misty Yellow Water Billabong before witnessing wild-fires common to the top end early in the dry season.
The dry season grass fire filmed in this video was NOT an Emergency Situation.
This video includes locations used in the filming of Crocodile Dundee - Ubirr, Anbangbang Billabong and Gunlom Falls.

I'm sitting in my campervan in Kakadu right now. It really is so much more beautiful than any camera could capture but this comes very close.
I'm so envious!!!!! That is so true, camera's cannot do Kakadu's beauty justice. Thank you for the kind feedback, enjoy your time up there, I cant wait to get back. Stay safe, cheers Phil

If it wasn’t for that damn Covid, i was suppose to come back to Kakadu again last year ! Miss that place
@@kasperrieberg3495 Yeah it messed up everybody's plans unfortunately. A really special place, and Yellow Water Billabong is just .... wow! I hope you are able to return soon. Take care, stay safe :)

Relentlessly beautiful visuals, a place that has no comparison, filmed via an eye that knows and understands nature at its finest! Absolutely captivating Phil & team 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻♥️
Miss Melly Vee you are a treasure, thank you for your unwavering support. We don't tend to get much in the way of cut through for these films which makes this kind of feedback all the more important. Take care and keep an eye out for a short film on the Devils Marbles in another 4 or so weeks. Take care, cheers Phil
So harmonious healthy and beautiful.❤️
Thanks for watching Carly, glad you enjoyed it. Stay safe, cheers Phil
Thank you so much for presenting this beautiful portrait of northern Australia to us. Kakadu National Park has always been a place I've longed to visit, but now that I'm daydreaming of travel more than ever under coronavirus lockdown, you've convinced me to put Kakadu right back at the top of my travel list for when the world comes through this.
My pleasure James, thanks so much for watching and taking the time to leave a comment. Kakadu is awesome, its big, and there is a lot of space between points of interest but it is well worth the trip. Dont miss the Yellow Water Billabong criuse we booked the morning cruise and for an extra $25 we could also do the evening cruise the night before, both were truly amazing.
Did you go??
Wonderful waterfowl@

Absolutely love your videos of NT - they inspired me to go out buy new gear before I visited this ancient part of the world so thank you for the inspo! Just realised I hadn't yet subbed so now I'll be up to date when you release more!
Hey thanks so much for watching and for subbing, you are very kind. I've subbed back and enjoyed watching your adventures up in the Top End. I'm looking forward to watching many more. Until then stay safe guys and thanks again for the kind feedback, cheers Phil
What a lovely series - thank you! The only probably is that now there's yet another half-dozen destinations on my list.

I like you naming elements in the nature on the video. Everybody has a name like we have. All have to be called with distinguishing and to be respected as a part of our planet.
Thanks for the feedback, stay safe, cheers Phil
best 8 minutes in my entire youtube life
Thanks mate, you are very kind. cheers Phil
Love from mangalore 👍
Masterpiece!
Hi Phil, well, you told me, I waited and this is what I received. These are some of the most spectacular vistas I've seen of Kakadu. From the opening sunrise, which should be a print on a wall, the sweeping shots were breathtaking. When the music kicked in, it instantly resonated deep inside with the footage, causing the world around me to vanish. Somehow you managed to capture the raw emotion evoked by this ancient landscape. In this case, beyond all others, if you have more footage, you might consider a part two. I was so pleased you extended to eight minutes, however, still you left me wanting more. I may know little of the intricacies of what you do but to me, this film truly captured me. The colours, the stillness and the silent wildness, all amidst such frightening beauty, touched something missing or hidden deep inside. The indigenous footprint, the aliens taking photos on another planet and the four elements that consume this wide, brown land; this is the merging of uniqueness. Then, the sun set...
I'm sorry if this comment is too long but I've watched this film multiple times in a row and how could I put into a few words when the words I used were inadequate. Well done to all involved. This was awe-inspiring. Grant.
Hi Grant, thank you for the feedback mate, please don't apologise for your comment being too long, we love to read these comments , the longer the better. You are one of a handful of very loyal followers that genuinely get what we do and we are most grateful that you take the time to let us know how these videos make you feel. Please feel free to share links to these videos with anyone you think may also be interested. Kakadu is rich in wildlife and magnificent landscapes and as a result this video has turned out to be one of our best, in my opinion. FYI, I was originally thinking of doing Kakadu as a 2 part video. The original draft was over 15 minutes long but when I played it back it was flat and lacked impact. What you see here is the result of some pretty agressive editing and a have to say, even after years of editing these vids, I was surprised at the level of transformation achieved. It was a perfect example of 'less is more' when it comes to video production. I am thinking that I may cut a 'Top End ' Video at some stage and incorporate some of the unseen clips from Kakadu, Litchfield and Katherine but we'll have to wait and see as we have a massive backlog of footage from Tasmania which I will need to get to. Next vid will be a short one (less than 2 mins) on the Devils Marbles which should be out in about 4 or so weeks. Take Care Grant, and thanks for your continued support. Cheers Phil
Stunning video.. thanks
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it. Stay safe cheers Phil

4:28 was the scariest croc to witness. He looks like he has eaten a person or two.
The tour guide called him the "boss croc" who "owned" that section of the waterway. He looked even more menacing in real life. Thanks for watching, stay safe :) cheers Phil
👍 🇹🇷
absolutely stunning i cant wait to get up there in the end of june, how did u go with the drone licence and filming the places? how do find the areas that you can use the drone and where you cant?
Thanks Amanda. Get your drone permit through nt.gov.au (just google it) it tells you where you can and cant fly in the NT. From memory I don't think there was a cost for it, you just do the application on line and it covers you for 12 months. Have fun its awesome up there, I can't wait to get back. Cheers and thanks for watching.
@@IntotheWildFilms how did u go about filming around sacred sites?
@@mandasphotography8229 Places like Nourlangie have signs which tell you where you can and can not film.
I spent the first ten years of my life in Kakadu. Blessed. It's one thing seeing the landscapes, wildlife and rock art on the screen. When you visit however, if you listen carefully, you'll feel the spirit of the land move into your being. It's powerful.
Hey Benjamin, thanks for watching mate. I have seen a fair bit of Australia and I would have to say that Kakadu is probably my favourite on so many levels. Its much more than a pretty place to visit, its difficult to explain but there is, as you say, something powerful about Kakadu. Stay safe mate, cheers Phil

No footage of the strip mined uranium in the park?
No
@@IntotheWildFilms The government is allowing the surveying of northern NSW for a strip mine for uranium. We might get lucky there then..
It's a Tamil word 😱 Ka - Big (பெரிய), kaadu (காடு) - forest = Big forest. Tamils were inhabitants of Australia??? I can't believe that 😻

nothing is beautiful if crocs and snakes sneaking around you ...
Australia has an abundance of dangerous wildlife, it's never prevented me from experiencing the beauty of this country.
Crocs not sneaking around you !! Just stay well away from those waters, unless you’r in a boat
