- New ID Software Update new chance to get scheduled charging working.. right? Well 2.4 is here and lets try it again for the third time. It's doing different this time but the result is the same... FAIL.

I just got an ID4 GTX and it has 3.0 on it. Scheduled charging works perfectly on it

Yep, my ID.4 forgets the charging location too. Worked with SW 2.1, doesn't work with 2.4

I've ID.3 with 2.3 and scheduled charging "always" worked fine...What I noticed is that it depends on the charger and you can't have "Slow Charge" activated and the charger must have 11kWh...It looks like the car needs to know the power that's available, to make the appropriate calculations to know when to start charging...If you think a bit...it makes TOTAL sense! :) How the car will know that it needs to charge for 4h if it depends on the kWh available? ;) So I guess it always assumes 11kWh if it doesn't get that info from the charger...Also, if you have 2 or more locations set, it messes things up... Yes, probably bad implementation from VW or buggy software 🤷♂️ I tested with Wallbox Plus and Tesla wallbox and it works fine at 11kWh...with other cheaper chargers it doesn't...And If I set "slow charge", it never reaches the set % on time.

Heb jij autopark in de ID? Misschien kun je daar een filmpje over maken? Dan heb ik als vraag of je daarmee ook in een garage box kunt parkeren?
Morgen, autopark is zal niet werken als je de zij sensoren niet hebt. Alleen autos die fabrieksaf 3.0 zal het hebben

Niks nieuws wat je eigenlijk al hebt, cameras zijn scherper geworden met 2.4 en dat is het voor nu
This is supposed to be a feature in the 3.0 OTA and not in the 2.4

I don't use this feature. But VW software game as been a let down so far. All other car companies so far even new ones have had an infotainment system, with minor bugs sometimes, but works efficiently, not as much lag. Compared to VW it makes VW look bad. I hope they are working hard to fix that. So far I wouldn't recommend the ID.4 to people who don't have patience haha. Mostly because i'd like to think i have a lot of patience but mine are starting to grow thin.

Yes …It’s activated in 3.0 not 2.4 according to VW.

I live in SWEDEN .I bought ID.4 GTX 3th December 2021 and After 2 month 2th Feb 2022 it was broken and have system problem .so i returned almost 6 month and its not working still . so this month they wanna pay back my money . So i heat EV car and i wanna buying Plugin car because when you buying EV car you have to think about charging station ,,, you have Stress always . please do not buying electric car ....

I'm on 3.0, sadly it does not work for me either. My home charge location does not disappear like yours, but instead the charging setting randomly resets to "Charge Now" from "Preferred charging hours". So, not much if an improvement. VW Connect support gave up as well. Their final "solution" was to tell me to wait for an 3.1 OTA update (which never will arrive?).
VW must have sourced SW development to a shitty company without control or management with lousy cross team alignment and to late realise they got issues wtih all this that they now have to deal with best possible which obviously is not anyway near good enough.
It vice versa VW has created id software the old one was out sourced
Sorry - I thought of all people you'd know better than to post something like this. Very disappointing clickbait -- VW has often and publicly said 3.0, not 2.4, will have the charging resolved! This is completely needless - you just lost a viewer - Unsubscribed..
I made this video because VW said first scheduled charging was fixed in 2.4 back in march. That they removed it and moved to 3.0 is something I shouldnt actively search for, but thats not interesting.
I wouldnt make this video if it acted the same as in 2.0/2.0 and 2.3 by just failing the charge like it used to.
This video is interesting because it shows something new, even if its a failure. The car is now forgetting its location when it falls in sleep and uses the non-location charge setting while charging.
This didnt happend before and only happend with 2.4. If VW is watching this they know it now and others should expect the same when moving to 2.4.
Also have the car for 1.5 years and that setting never worked as intended. Im always trying it for every new version. Hopefully 3.0 fixes this for real like everybody says and really brings the end of this faulty option since day 1.
