Really like how you guys cover every aspect of your shooting, from chad's discussion of the handloading cards, to this vid on the range, along with your series on reloading (specifically the one on the hornady press) and milsurp rifles, this is really what makes your channel special and stands out from among the others. Love it!
Great tips - definitely going to implement some of these at our range. Great channel, just subbed!
THAT DAMN CHAD! lol I think he did a good job making the video I'm glad to see the other guys getting more involved with the channel.Keep up the good work.
I dunno what it is, but I like all your video's of you guys. And I can't say that about every channel I watch.
Great content and people. Keep em coming because I'll be watching ;)
Top notch, much obliged, definitely got a clearer perspective. =]
Great set-up guys,...and acres of freedom.
How do you keep all the grass mowed? That's a lot of grass!
Good video, thanks.
What a great idea to have 💯
Gives me great ideas for the range I'm building on my property'
that sounds really cool I think I'll try that.
I honestly wish there was a range like that here in St.Louis!
where did you guys get you shooting bench setups? Or if you made them can you do a quick vid on how they are constructed?
Thanks!
What's the minimum engagement you guys have found for rifle/pistol on steel? Have you ever taken any jacket splatter?
nice set up lads
I have a question guys, @ my gun club the dont allow non reactive steel target, can you tell me a good or great reactive steel target to train personal defense situation and close combat style, i just want to train and have fun!
Thanks guys!!!!
Good stuff man, thanks for the video on this. Cheers
Awesome set up guys, btw what are the laws or regulations for shooting outdoors like that?,a specific acreage or just any private property will do?
Very nice!
On the series videos, could you start putting a link to the previous episode of that series in the description? That would be easier than going back through all the videos. Thanks!
What type of holster setup is that you have on? May get one for my S&W Governor.
Cool range guys.
Nice range setup and info video. Like the FAQ series also. just one question, Where's Barry?
Great Range
I used to throw XX ties round like that, in the 90 degree heat. No big secret:) that is the difference between golfing:)
Most anywhere that carries bulk landscape supplies should have them as well. Do a search for mulch in your area and I'll bet you will find several that carry used RR ties.
Very nice guys. : )
A camera set up there at the rifle trap would be too cool to see and hear the rounds coming in to the plate from 400 meters away.
What pistol rig where you carrying in this video? I'd like to get something like that..
Thinking of your range, whatever happened to the range you were going to set up in the woods? I hope that's an idea that's not been dropped, looked like there'd be some real interesting vids from that.
you can also check with your local railroad office to see if they are replacing any near you they will give them away for free I picked up 12 a few months back for a flower garden
All I can say is, wear that eye pro!
chad's the man!!!
They have a short video of them putting in the long distance trap on his channel you would have to look for it a few pages back on thier videos.
What was the cost of the plates? I know MGM and others can be expensive.
solves all the issues in the world.
i always wonder about that, a while back my buddy caught a piece of .22 jacket in the leg from about 10m, i think from a ruger mkIII. im just iffy about shooting as close as some guys do
those steel targets don't deflect rounds?
"grade eight" is that the quality of the steel or size of the bolt?
So how much property does that range sit on?
I'm just jealous...wish I had the space to set all that up! guess I'll just have to keep shootin' 8" plates on hangin' from wallymart shepherds hooks...
Starting to get a similiar set up
Any shots through the ties?
Hey Eric, if you want a place to get armored plate like that for much cheap I can give you info of the place it comes from. It is where the target companies buy their steel.
I have an 8" round 1/4" thick AR500 gong. I originally got it for pistol caliber and rimfire. While I don't want to abuse it, do you think it'd hold up to magnum handgun calibers from 50 yards?
Yes it will. I shoot my AR500 1/4” with 357 magnum @ 25 yrs no problem.
Nice range, Chad
A S&W 686+ in a Diamond D Custom Leather Guide's Choice Rig. Chad
First time viewer. Little surprised to see that one berm is only six feet tall. At that distance, I would have thought possibly taller. No issues of errors going over? Thanks.
i was wanting to know what the 50cal did at sub 400 yards
☠☠☠☠☠
Nice setup!
Where would I get ahold of railroad ties?
I have shot AR500 steel at ten yards with 9mm and .22 with no splatter coming back at me, with no damage to the steel, but that is as close as I want to be.
That idea has not been dropped at all, we've just been extremely busy lately.Be on the lookout in the near future :) Chad
check with the railroad in your area I got some for landscapping for free from the railroad
THAT IS A HUGE FARM WITH FLOWING PRAIRIES TO SHOOT AT DOES ANY1 MOW THE GRASS THERE AT ALL?
Yea no kidding!
How about making somekind of website with pictures and howto's. Would be cool.
do it again!!!!!! film it!!!!!!! please
Whose property is this?
You might want to check out Shoot Steel dot com. That dude was great and I was really happy with the product and service.
Do you really need grade 8 hardware and transport chain to hold up a target?
Pretty much. Bullet splash quickly shreds almost anything else. People also use rubber straps.
Lucky!
Home Depot, Lowes, ACE Hardware, True Value, or any place that supplies lumber.
bruh is that chad?!?!?!?
Nice as a welder AR.500 steel good choice for target gong great video
hey eric, just a quick question from a limey, why is steel so popular as a target? surely it just increases the chance of a freak accident i,e ricochet? love the videos by the way keep up the great work!
Immediate SOUND OF HIT EVERYONE Loves THAT SOUND..
I wish i had something like that in my back yard
Who owns all the property you shoot on?
Oh, in that case you should have called it a brownie.
Lucky SOB's. I am grateful to be a member of a awesome rifle and pistol club, but they won't let us shoot steel! After you shoot steel, it sucks so bad being confined to paper.
rail yards have em in piles... atleast were I'm at
now all i need is a big ass farm.
Oh, boy. Hickok45 isn't going to like this one bit, lol.
'Merica🇺🇸
You got that right buddy :) We consider ourselves to e extremely privileged. Chad
Barry own all that land?
no different than "wearing" Nikes and using a Wilson ball.
Damnit Chad! ;)
a rail yard?
It's family farm land. Chad
why not tell all fans?
Sorry guys, I was working in a very small time frame on this video...such is life, lol. Chad
I see a basic video was already made kind of. I know your range has some decent distances, far more than the average "back yard Bubba" on his 5 acres... I know there was plenty of thought put into your range design, and the average shooter would show the same concern, but if you take ten mins on a youtube search the backyard gun range has come under heavy scrutiny since 2020, particularly in Florida where a 14 year old was hit by a ricochet inside her own home... All the videos are basically the same as this one, cut, dry, and to the point. I know I have probably become annoying at this point so I will likely receed to the abyss from whence I came, but we both know the 2A is not limitless in application and every single accident becomes a hammer or chisel to chip away another piece. 99.9% of all accidents are caused by human error and are 100% preventable. I have reached the end of my little "responsible parties assume responsibility" speech. I truly hope yall have a wonderful day and that all you have remaining be as joyful and fulfilling as possible.
Signed,
Just Another Nobody
Look so young
Really?
Great Freaking video. MAGA🇺🇸
