Speaking of muskets, at the range where I shoot. The loud speaker letting you know it is Ok to begin shooting screams out! Jim always says "Remember No Rapid Fire with your Black Powder Rifles" !! !
I can fire reload and fire a second shot in about 20 to 30 seconds usually 25 or 26 seconds.

I pre measured my loads into my empty 30/06 casings.
Bullets in my Possibles Bag (actually a Cheap Leather Ladies Purse primers in a leather piece sewn to the outside of the Bag). 45 seconds is fast but I am faster.
Patches and balls in the Bag loader in my Shirt Pocket.
Fire - rifle to crook of my left arm. Trigger hand after ammo, left hand after loader. Patch then ball on top - loader into right hand tamp the ball. Loader back to shirt pull ram rod load the bullet then ram rod back, Load the primer. Clock Aim Fire. Begin again.

I respect Jerry because he's humble, even though he is literally one of the best, and has been one of the best for a long time. Dude has special edition handguns and shotguns with his name on them, and he just acts like a regular guy.

@@onelife7850 it means that he shoots them off in 30 minutes are less your bullets in your mag are good but I’d check your magazine spring Bc if it’s weak from being compressed for years then it might not feed

I met Jerry many years ago when he was doing a shooting demo at my brother- in-law’s indoor range. We had a really nice chat while cleaning up brass. Such a nice guy!

Jerry fired that handgun at 463 rpm. Absolute legend.
Is that the real legit math? I don't know what the formula for figuring out what sum to come up with when the numbers are odd like that.
@@MrSpardas 3.5 seconds first shot to last. 60÷3.5 is 17.14. Multiply that by 27, you get 462.857. That’s a cyclic rate of 463 rounds per minute.
You can just see Eric's face light up when he watches Jerry shoot. He's like a kid in a candy shop. So much innocence and joy...and people say guns are bad. Pff.

As a musician I can say that what Jerry is doing is playing 16th notes with one finger. As a bass player, I can play 16th notes with two fingers for awhile, but not long. As a shooter, I can play 8th notes with my trigger only for a short while. I am so impressed with Mr. Miculek.

I for one should not be making a comment because you guys are in a different category than me. But that said, the time on the draw is great. Time releasing the rounds down range, great. The time once the pistol is presented on target to the first squeeze. Seems there was a long pause used after the draw to acquire target and fire. Loved the video. Been watching for a very long time and never disappointed. Good job to both shooters.

It's easy to shoot like jerry, you just need to practice for about 40 years and shoot about a million rounds and you might, just might get close. Awesome guy.
