    This yarn would look great in a weaving art wall hanging. The more I watch you at this "wheel" the more I want one. Perhaps I can give myself an early Christmas present. Congratulations on reaching 600 subscribers! I'm very happy for you. God bless.

      Thank you :) I've not filled it yet lol but the size of the orifice does make it open to making jumbo yarns on request. I'd recommend getting another bobbin but its not hard to ball and then continue.
      Also thank you very much 😊

    Hi Jo! Thanks for sharing this technique. It looks so very beautiful! Something for me to aspire to try down the track as I gain more experience. Seeing how you auto wrap your yarn was something else I had been wanting to see. Learnt so much in this video; I know I’ll be watching it again.

      Yes this was a first timer for me too so I'm glad I can share my experience in trying a new skill and share what didn't work and what did work 😅

    What do people do with this at yarn? Knit? Crochet? Weave? What do your clients make? I love art yarn and started spinning a couple years ago with art yarn as one of my goals. However I don't know what artists make/do with art yarn.😊

      This type of art yarn is used in wall hangings and tapestries. Maybe chunky beanies too and weaving projects.

      The fabric is chiffon & the wheel is a SUPER Jumbo E-spinner from Ashford. Thank you for your comment and enjoying my video. ❤

    Jo, when you ply the fiber onto the thread, does this work because you have autowound the first round of fiber? Will this work without the autowind? I'm used to plying the thread around the fiber and then scrunching it up or making beehives but Iove what you have done here.

    • @josparadiseofcolor
      @josparadiseofcolor  7 месяцев назад +1

      The auto wrap helps keep the first part together and leaves an interesting textured finish. And yes it works :) one of my favourite techniques

    It looks very pretty but how can it be used to weave it?
