Seriously he would probably say something like: "Nowadays people eat shower too often" I remember when we only showered once a day. How did we let this happen to our society, where we waste so much water showering?
God bless you Andy! You will be sorely missed! I remember having my dad calling me down just to watch you rant at the end of 60 minutes because you were my favorite part of the show! There will never be another one like you, Andy!

As silly as that whole thermometer idea sounds, it actually has the potential to be a good idea. Even though we sleep 1/3 of our lives away, it's so we can enjoy the other 2/3 of our life without being irritable, unable to focus, lack energy, or having terrible migraines. But maybe you're right, Andy. Maybe we do sleep too much.
Incredible how Andy Rooney predicted sleep analysis devices like Whoop and Apple Watch. These devices now do in fact tell you when you need more sleep.

Dana Carvey did the best impression of Andy that was hilarious. He said, "Why is an orange called an orange, but a banana isn't called a yellow? Any why aren't raspberries called little purple bumpies?" 😁😁😁
He lived to be 92, so he had plenty of years to get comfortable being old. He was also of the WWII generation, so a lot of his opinions and things like that are indicative of that era. He wasn't that bad really he had some pretty nuanced opinions of things that weren't just knee jerk old guy ramblings.

It would be nice to be able to sleep 4 fours a night like Leno or Martha Stewart with sixth of your life given to sleep... I'm sure a lot of these punks sleep 10 hours a day... When he was their age he was riding on B-17 missions over Europe.
