The only minor downer I have with this hat is they need to add a little slit or "pocket" in the back for the adjustable leather strap. I wear mine on notch 3, and the strap sticks out a bit far. Other than that, I love it!
I have not. I'm one of those guys that when I find a great brand I basically stick with it. If Lumberjack wants to send me a hat to do a comparison video I would be game.
@@Ambush981 ah. Since I am not an affiliate with them, this will be my only thermal hat. I saw the lumberjack but I don't look good in plaid. Now Melin, if you see this, feel free to send me one for review! hahahaha
It's like fox's flexifit gear the Hats are amazing if you haven't tried the 2 one with the flexifit material and one with the airholes like your grey hat honestly not had better fitting hats, and you get them with a minamil logo my grey and black camo flexifit cap is just amazing! You get a snapback or the flexifit both great fit! I'm like you only wear these types of hats
@ERogers-qn2sm Yes, Melin hats are much higher quality than NewEra. They use a water resistant material and it is designed to wick moisture away and dry before you get sweat stains. Also, the Visor floats and is made out of a hard waterproof material while NewEra hats use a cheap cardboard. I have over 40 melin hats and will not buy anything else. Though, I do have some Alter Ego Running hats with the American Flag on them which are on par with Melin. Melin doesn’t make a flag hat though.
It's a ridiculously over priced cap but I ordered one Sunday & just received the tracking number so I guess I'll know in two days if I think it's remotely worth the price Cheers.
@Scott Hardesty up until about 10 yrs ago the greatest cap ever made was still available thru Bass Pro and later, Cabellas. I wore them for the 6-7 yrs that I could get them and bought every one I could locate. I finally exhausted my supply a couple yrs ago. It had a leather brim / buckle strap and the rest was made from the finest straw I've ever seen. It was the best wearing cap you could dream of and I got more compliments on those caps than anyone would believe. Especially now I've changed my hair style to mostly sunburn, I am in the market for comfortable caps for every season. Thank you for the feedback, it's appreciated. Cheers.
Well, the hat didn't show up as promised on the 19th, or 20th, 21st, or the 22nd and there's been no tracking update since the 19th so I called today and they claim to be sending a replacement by Wednesday so I guess we'll see.
Ok, so after complaining about the price of the cap and then the shipping issue, my customer service experience compels me to share it as well. Five days after the hat was supposed to have been delivered and no tracking update since the 19th I called CS half expecting to be blown off. To my complete surprise, I was offered my choice of a full refund or immediate replacement via priority shipping. I chose the replacement. 2 hrs after that call, my wife let me know that the original cap had been delivered. I immediately called CS back to cancel the replacement order only to discover the order had already been processed and shipped. I told her I would either return the replacement or possibly purchase the extra one for a gift if I liked it. First, I stand by my opinion that $100 is an outrageous price for any off the rack ball cap regardless of how great it is. That said, as of this date, if you want a hat of this quality and style, you will pay $100. It is, in my opinion, the finest cap I've worn. It is certainly extremely well made and fits as a glove. The downside for this particular hat is that, at least for me, it's a cool weather only cap as I am hot natured and would most certainly sweat quite heavily in the heat of summer. Also, the packaging is very concerning. It was actually shipped in a paper / bubble envelope with no support whatsoever but amazingly the cap suffered no crush or wrinkle damage at all which surely says at least something of its durability. Considering my customer service experience I will almost certainly be purchasing more of the overpriced melin caps from Zappos. Cheers.
I'm glad you finally got your hat. I can also confirm that this hat definitely holds the heat indoors, and I would often have to take it off. Although, outside, that is where this hat rocks. No one can argue the quality of the hats for sure. The non-thermal hats are my go-to in spring/fall/summer. This is why I have several overpriced hats and love them. hahahaha. Thanks for the update! Enjoy!

Great idea!
Cut it
Have you tried the Back Down South hats? They’ve peaked my interest
I have not. Once I find something I love, I am pretty loyal to them. Don't show this comment to my two ex-wives.
Been hunting for the Heather Grey and black scout and golf galaxy just restocked it as had a $20 coupon to it was only $79 👍
I love my thermal hats. I own 4 now.
Have you looked into the lumberjack thermal hat? I personally have an A-game as well

@@scotthardesty apologies! I shoulda been specific Melin HAS a hat that is called the Lumberjack! But agree with you, Melin is 11/10

I'm not a fan of the Flexfit hats. They just don't feel right on my egg shaped head. hahaha
Have you check or have a classic version VS XL caps ? I wonder how they fit or look
I'm sorry. I only have the A-game hats.
Is melin trenches better then new era 59fifty fitted? Also is the quality better? Im curious cause ive always been a new era fanatic
I don't know. Once I found how good these hats are, I haven't tried anything else.

I bought 2. Gotta love a great hat 🎉
I think I have over 10 different Melin hats at this point.
Idk if ur into hats much but how does the quality compare to something like grassroots
I'm sorry, I've never tried a grassroots hat.
Can you review Noggin Boss hats next, please?
I had to look those up. I don't think I will be spending any money on those. hahahahahaha
