I was about 20 feet away when a pylon racer got out of control and crashed on our site at the 2023 AMA NATs. Hit on the pavement of the L-pad, disintegrated, and they found parts about 200 feet out into the soybean field.
Thanks for your comment. That was a scary story, but these are true racers driven to the edge, since the competition is very hard at the top. So there are of course some casualties. The safety rules exist for a reason in this class.😊
