Wow. I imagine that is what oldschool means. Beautiful model and the pilot with decades of experience. Nothing left to coincidence, not even clothing. Hats down.
Another cracking video Mark. Forget all the riots and unrest but this just gets back to what England is about, model flying, model engineering and cricket. Chocks away!!
Oh, my word, what an airplane! Quite a masterful pilot as well. I kept looking for the ailerons...I couldn't believe the amount of control he had over that thing with only 3 channels. Being a FF design, I expected a nice, bouncy landing, but never low-level aerobatics. My heart was in my throat when he screamed out of a loop at full throttle and I expected the wings to come off, but he just pulled back the throttle and the LION slowed right down and behaved itself. Amazing.
This is the kind of plane I would like to have and fly. The only problem is they are probably not made anymore. slo and low is my kind of flying. You sir are doing an awesome job. Very well done.
Thank you very much for the kind words, really appreciated. This model was built from plans that are still available on OuterZone if you wish to build one,, its certainly a lovely model 😀
That's lovely. A great big, gentle, purring pussycat - light and nimble, with absolutely no bad habits. Apart from occasionally climbing the curtains or leaving important messages behind the sofa. (Allegedly.) 🤭
best plane and touch and go ive ever seen and ive seen a lot of planes and touch and gos. How did you possibly design it so that it goes sooo slow and still doesnt tip stall??? Thats impossible. With such a big fuselage i expected that plane to drop like a rock.
Thanks for the comment, pleased you enjoyed it. The chap who built and was flying the model is very skilled and he kept it very light, as well in being a vintage model with a light design
I had a model called a vulcan which is similar built and covered in silk many many years ago with an eta 5 (i gave it to a mate and its still in his loft) I think it was nearly all spruce with sprung under carriage and blow up tyres I think it had g-adar down the side
not a thing of beauty (looks a bit like a fat Telemaster0 but it sure flies well and at a slow speed that makes it easy to watch and of course a capable pilot...very enjoyable

Reminds me of my Goldberg Eaglet with a Saito 20 four stroke from forty years ago. Good memories
Perfect senior moment for me to see and enjoy Mark.

When the engine cut I was slightly concerned but the pilot knew his model well, enjoyable video, cheers Mark 👍

Very nice! I would consider myself a pretty good pilot but i can't land my miss America that smooth! I'll have to keep practicing with it.

It looks similar to a full size plan I have called Black Magic for 2.5cc diesels.
Very nice.

I remember my FERBER 1911.. but here I think you use (normal fuel)😊
Beautiful….where can I get one? They should be making ARFs of these type of planes
Details of the plan are in the videos description

I hope he's beefed up the u/c... some of those touchdowns were brutal. 😂
hahahah, pleased you enjoyed it!
Saito looked like it was on petrol....😏...Four stroke glow is so inefficient and messy too...🤔😀🇬🇧
what size motor does this little honey have?
What size Saito engine is it using?
