    What a masterful plane with a push-pull configuration and what a great pilot. Perfect landing, perfect power management on final. It is just hard to follow with the speed it shoots into the sky - like a bullet.

    On take off you had everyone jump, even us here in the land of watching. Holy Moly that puppy is fast. Im amazed at the strength of the wings. That camera work was as outstanding as the pilot flying this aerial torpedo. Unreal show folks, thanks for giving us a nail biting show.

      It's certainly impressive however, I don't know if what's basically a rod with packed with lipos qualifies as next level German engineering. But I like your enthusiasm!

    That is an AWESOME airplane!!!! It is a 10 in every category The design, the build, the designer/builder is an awesome pilot, and the camera man kept it all in frame at insane speeds.....Well Done!

    It launches like a V1 - but much funnier; turns into a Dornier 335 - but much thinner; flies at the speed of a V2 - but can do it, sideways; turns back into a V1 to land - but, with luck, doesn’t explode!
    Magnificent!

    This gracefully peaceful Pfeil is certainly much more aerodynamic than his grandgrandfather on WWII. 😀 And certainly lovelier to watch. Congrats for such an outstanding job.

    When a 10,7kg "projectile" hits something with 300mph, the impact energy is around 96200 Joules.
    That is about 4-6x the power of a .50 BMG or about 45-90x the power of a .44 magnum cartridge.

      @@stejer211 I realize SH1974 was relaying "destructive application of energy" as a comparison as BALLISTIC impact is usually more comprehensible in "layman's terms" than units of mass @ velocity, as a astrophysicist would cite specifications of space debris..
      The Swedes & Finns are VERY well versed in ballistics..more so than the Americans..and very well armed..

    Please explain why such a small wingspan plane has a large fuselage and two big motors?
    I've seen extremely fast competition gliders with similar wingspan but much smaller fuselage and a single smaller motor at Aspach shows about 10-15 years ago. They also didn't need a ramp and bungee, just handstart.

      Thanks.
      The model is designed for speeds in excess of 300 mph. The speed on the first flight was almost 250mph (still flown throttled).

    Bei der Kraft die die Motoren haben wundert es mich das man den Flieger abschießen muss.
    Könnte man nicht dafür eine einfachere Rampe bauen. ?
    Ich stelle mir zwei Bretter vor die wie eine Schiene parallel stehen.
    Auf der einen Seite sind sie am Boden, auf der anderen Seite auf ca. 1,5m angehoben.
    Der Flieger liegt mit den Tragflächen auf den Brettern.
    Könnte das nicht auch funktionieren ?
    Das ist echt ein Hammer Flieger :)
    Da jetzt noch eine FPV Kamera rein und in Ego Perspektive fliegen :) könnte auch Spaß machen.

      Danke für deinen tollen Kommentar.
      Die Rampe wurde extra für dieses Modell konstruiert und, wie man im Video sieht, muss sie noch verbessert werden. Das Problem ist hauptsächlich der große Propeller im Heck. Denke aber, dass das schon noch perfektioniert werden wird.
      FPV willst du mit annähernd 500 km/h bestimmt nicht fliegen 🤙😂

    A question. Does the rc controler invert the commands when the plane is upside down or pilot have to do it by himself?

      pilot has to command everything in reverse, thats flying skills
      Helicopter is much difficult

      You're right. The low pass was unintentional. Due to the imperfectly trimmed rudders and the high speed, the model was pulled towards the ground. After this overflight, the pilot trimmed the rudder again.

      You have great pilot skills. As impressive as it is, it looks "crashable". If you don't make the correction from muscle memmory, one second to think about a solution and it would be too late.

    Although it is cool, I've seen the Big Monster from HJK Speedwings do over 300mph and that's single engine, so gotta wonder what the point of 2 engines is for something like this besides the 'cool factor'.

    Echt heftig das Teil. Toller Sound tolle Fluglage. Onboard Kamera wäre cool mit online Telemetrie von Speed, Höhe, Ampere, G Kraft
    Habt ihr hinten eine andere Luftschraube montiert weil sie sich ja im Luftstrom der ersten befindet? Sind beide Motoren gleich belastet?

      Um so einen Pfeil zu fliegen muss man schon Eier haben. Soviel ich erfahren habe, gibt es in Deutschland eine Geschwindigkeitsbegrenzung für Modellflugzeuge von 463 km/h [250 mph] .... somit ist es nicht klar, wie schnell es wirklich fliegt. Eventuell wird ein Speedtest im Ausland erfolgen.
