the craftsmanship is astonishing. But I cannot understand why you didn't completely hide the control hardware for the ailerons. It is possible, even with low profile wings like that
Werter Kollege ich habe noch nie für einen Segler soviel Geld ausgegeben !! Aber für diese perfekte Arbeit ,werde ich 2 bis 3 Modelle verkaufen und die Black Mamba ordern ! Danke für dieses Video !!! Peter
HI ! Marko ! at first I'm crazy about glider ! but this one it's a master piece ! black mamba it's the right name for this beauty ! well done my friend ! 💙
Great ! I am following another maker and video maker. For each step he add an explanation in writing on the video. It'd be useful because I lost a number of procedures. As an example how do you get the flap hinges already made in the cast ? Or what is the foil that you put over the carbon ? Till now I just saw the carbon and the resin bagged with no other laminating aid. I subscribed to the channel,I am tryng to keep moving since I was born with balsa and paper foil, not even the Oracover.
It's funny how you configured it like a plane. Usually motors are option on gliders so we put motors on a two or three position switch because you generally want to climb not to have little throttle. and the throttle is used for airbrakes/crowbars this way we have full control of the speed. But really nice réalisation thanks for sharing and for the build/tips
It's a matter of personal preference. I like to have the motor on the throttle channel, and airbrakes on two or three position switches. But I get it that not everyone enjoys this configuration.
Bonjour et merci pour la video , comme toujours, le model rc est magnifique, comment avez vous appris a faire tout ca ? Vivement les prochaines vidéos, encore merci
Beautiful work! Been out of the hobby for many many years but I was doing this same construction method, minus all the CNC stuff, 30 years ago. Never could get the finish on my wings to look as pretty right out of the bag though. I found over time I had problems with the carbon fiber delaminating from the foam after several years in storage. Is this a known issue and what is done now to keep that from happening?
Hello. Quite an interesting problem. At the moment, I have not had this happen with any aircraft, so have not tried to find a solution to this problem either
How do you manage to keep your workbench looking like new in every video? - For me, after working with resin 2-3 times, it always looks like after the war
Your skills are truly impressive. I am also planning to build a glider using carbon fiber. I used the 3K carbon fiber I have for a stiffness test. Like in your video, I made a single layer, but it was not strong and bent very easily. How strong and flexible are your wings? If I had made it, the wings would have broken during flight. There is no place to learn carbon fiber work where I live. Do you plan to make a detailed video on carbon fiber work?
Hello I myself try and experiment. In terms of power, the Black Mamba is certainly not a Hotliner, but still a thermal glider, which means that maneuvers must be done with feeling and not overload the plane. Since I see that there is a lot of interest in the carbon of airplanes, I will definitely make more detailed composite videos in the future
What kind of laser cutting machine are you using at 1:32? I was under the impression you couldn't cut carbon fibre with a laser, and if you did it'd make a lot of fumes. If it's CO2 what are the settings?
Yess it is a CO2 laser. In general, you can't cut carbon, but since it's very thin, you still manage somehow. I put cardboard moistened with water under the carbon cloth to prevent flames. Speed 20mm/s, power 100% 130w
Great job but I would hope u learn to put aileron control inside using a carbon fibre rod with horns inside the fuselage ❤good work always watching and learning, I don't have the machine you have, I do everything without printing or laser cutting 😢,
Marko, In the video you connect the main wing, one site is on the table and you meassure de height from other wing tip to the table. How far from table to wingtip in cm…..Greetings.
Hi Marko, great job again, you make it seems easy. Some questions? Any wax on the mylars? You always build flat bottom profiles, does it influence the flight performane?
Beautiful work. Love the lazer cutter (particularly for the carbon cloth), I always found it very difficult to work with. Where did you get the CapVisor sunglasses? I need some!
I'm curious, what is your laser cutter ? CO2 or fiber?and what power ? I thought we couldn't cut carbon fiber with laser as for example you can burn carbon rod but only epoxy will burn leaving the carbon fibers
Yes, I use CO2 laser 130w. max cutting power and speed 40mm/s. only thin carbon fabric can be cut, up to 80g/m2. 200g/m2 fabric definitely won't cut it anymore.
Please wear a mask when cutting carbon fiber if you do not already use one. I am sure you do wear one, but I could not watch this and with a clear conscience not state how harmful carbon fiber is to the lungs. Beautiful build.
Tere, Marko ! väga hea töö .. mulle väga meeldib just wanna ask, would it still fly if I rescale the wings and tail ? I would like to reduce the wings size from 1m to 0.5m .. is there anything to consider ?

Why did you place the 25gr glass layer on the foam surface instead of facing the mylar?

It is likely a Fiber Laser, as we have a 100w CO2 and it will not cut CF cloth. Let's hope he answers.
