I have seen other videos if men using hot wire cutters to build wings for their RC planes but this is the only one so far that shows how one can separate the wing into sections! You also show how one can use a LiPO battery to heat the wire cutter! GREAT JOB!
You do fine work. I'm impressed. I'm concerned though that the unprotected foam wing surface is vulnerable to just about everything. A thin layer of covering will go a long way to protect all that work you did in making it.
How do you cut the wood parts? I really want to get into making rc planes and I'm like 50% ready and all I need is like a hot wire cutter and making these wood things. :-)
Well done, it worked. Now to get some 1mm thick Balsa wood sheets and learn how to skin a wing. Your building skills will take off! One more tip, something we used to do with our old 2 piece wing gliders is use small cup hooks screwed into the plywood root rib and then use an elastic band between them to hold the wing on, not bolts and nuts. They can vibrate loose. if you are going to keep using bolts, at least put a piece of tape across the top to hold the wings on if the nuts come off. Happy flying mate.
Very interesting video for the construction of a wing, especially for how you show how to cut the hole for the spar. Well done and congratulations for this video🔝

0042 a wing's load-bearing main spar should be located at THIRTY percent of chord. CF is Heavier than wood and its use increases the auw of a model. the use of CF in the main wing makes the wing heavier and raises the location of the model's center of Mass (c-m). 0820 it is recommended that the mass of a quick connector be located at the servo, NOT at the control horn. 1312 the distance between the stabs and wing should be reduced by about two inches. there should be NO bends in a wire pushrod; except z-bends at the ends. 1407 when the model is level, the main landing gear should be located directly below the wing leading edge. googletranslate

Packing tape works great on foam slope gliders. Tough as too
Ive also used brown paper and wallpaper glue. Then a coat of wood varnish makes it even glow fuel proof. Cheap
I haven't flown my rc planes in two years, your video has got me interested again!
Damned clever. I never would have thought of that for the spars!!!
How was the dihedral dialed in? Were the carbon tubes shaped? I'm puzzled. Cool vid.
Hermoso trabajo. Felicitaciones
Beautiful job. Congratulations
Wow..this is a very informative video...lots of awesome tips...like the hot wire spar hole....genius....👍👍
A VERY fine piece of work and an excellent model. Many Thanks from the UK.
you keep missing the runway ; ) good job
Wow.. it's awesome.. god job .. saludos desde Chile. Creo que haré ese mismo proyecto.. muchas gracias por compartir tus conocimientos.. 🎉

Felicitaciones, buen trabajo. Desde General Rodríguez, Aeródromo EAA, Buenos Aires .Republica Argentina
Good job, thanks for sharing!
i maked my wings in 1972 with this system 😊
..No. .you MADE your [ model aircraft's ] wings in 1972 using this technique 😊
With landings like that, you could be a real pilot!
Excellent! Really liked the use of the battery charger for foam cutter power source.
Your building skills are amazing. Thanks for sharing.
8 for your landing
Thank you very much!
Nicely done! Thanks.
Suuuper Video 👍 thank you
that is a an excellent plane good work
fantasticooo!!!

10 for landing. Congratulations!
Excellent tutorial!
Excellent work
Wouldn't a wing nut be a better choice for the fastener of the wing mount? How long was the entire process of building the wing?
Awesome job dude!
U gained a one more subscriber

Very good work!
Great work on the new wing, Jonu! Glad to see you putting your printer to use already in your plane projects :)

I didn't know you could use a B6Mini that way.
Me neither. On my B6AC, I don’t have the tool kits menu 😢

I'd recommend to use gloves when working with epoxy
Nice video. What is the wire you used?
