The first video in the electronics series is now on the channel! ruclips.net/video/VMb7csf-KqU/видео.htmlsi=XMgjYycBKQixS2tG I’m starting by introducing the basics, discussing the essential components for fixed-wings, and explaining key concepts. The following episodes will cover equipment selection, soldering, mounting components in the plane, uploading firmware, and setting up parameters-essentially, the entire step-by-step process of working with plane electronics. Let me know in the comments how you like it and what you’d like to see in future content. I appreciate all comments and thumbs up, as they help us grow this still-developing channel.
Hey there, this plane looks really awesome and I consider building it myself! However - I only have a prusa mini with 180x180x180 build volume, so - smaller than then required volume. On the other hand, I already successfully printed some eclipson planes which also require a bigger build volume by cutting some parts in the slicer. This might lead to some weak points - I know, but it did work overall. Do you reckon it'll be possible to do the same to the talon?
I would say releasing a video like that would boost sales like crazy. I will say one of the biggest holdups I’ve heard from people is they are unsure of how to setup a plane, what to use to control it, etc. providing an instructional video and even a printed guide would be an awesome addition!
So uh ... I have questions. Why two 10mm rods to reinforce the wings yet flimsy 3d printed hinges for the control surfaces which are way more important? Also how the hell do you land the thing without destroying your camera and prop?!?!?!?
This is what I call a work of art. This project is so majestic. Just imagine a fatty substance with neurons (brain) capable of building such things. WoW
i love the you got rid of the pen spring in the hatch design & i like the alignment lip as well! ill have to get a talon when i finish building my lark
That is so well-built. I'm moving on from foam board builds to 3D printed designs since my wife just got me the Bambu labs P1S 3D printer. I'm not building the same thing, but this was awesome to watch! Great job.
I am currently working on a 3D printed RC-Car and now seeing this already gives me another project on my bucket list 😅 I will never stop to be amazed about what is possible with 3D-printing.
Would love to see a video about the stallion vtol build, doing a series on my channel about it since there aren’t any videos like this! But would definitely love to see one from you guys! I think it would help a lot of beginners, like myself, who go looking for instruction videos since the manuals are a bit vague! Love the content!
Nice looking design with lots of interior space, easy access. Great website, and reference build material (manual, etc). Didn't see electronics (FC) mount in build manual, but found one listed under "accessories" on web store. (suggest to include a reference to in the build manual) Would be nice to see recommended default control throws and and mixes also listed in the build manual.
Soon, we’ll record something focused specifically on electronics, and I’ll go over the basic setup for a fixed-wing in detail. In this case, mixes aren’t set on the transmitter; instead, tuning is done through the flight controller via a ground station, such as Mission Planner. Everything is available in the ArduPilot knowledge base, but I’ll also make a video about it and focus on the most important aspects.
I've been 3d printing for a while, but have never made a uav and unfamiliar with the electronics and systems. Is there a good guide or video to help me figure out what to do and what I need to get started?
Just bought a printer last night. I want to print few of these models per the site. Hopefully I can put DJI 03 in nose and take some peeps on a birds eye view flight. Nicely done video. Like that links are provided for the builds.
Awesome video. Landing the thing must be a nightmare though. Do you have to catch it or scrap it onto the ground? You'd probably lose a finger trying to catch it.
all time i want to make chanel with building stuffs and never start. But weel mean time i have viedeos like you. Nice fotage and explanation of building it. THank you. i subs and take you as reference, who know one day i start xD.
Hey! How did you manage to give radius to edge of an airfoil in SolidWorks? Leave the radius aside I can't make any manuplations on airfoil sketch like offseting it. Is there any tricks about it?
As I mentioned in the video, I sanded it a bit with fine-grit sandpaper and painted it with primer. The surface looks very nice. I don’t have a recording, as I did this in a workshop area, but there’s nothing complicated about it ✈️
I think that QIDI and maybe POLYMAKER have filaments specifically designed for projects like this. I’m curious if they are any better or what they are better at.
Is there a model that could suite a camera on its belly, with a open just for the lenses, like a multispectral camera? Ideally a VTOL with landing legs?
What's the highest payload, you figure? I wonder how big of a battery or camera you could stick in before getting serious diminishing returns with flight time.
Awesome looking build! What is the span on wings and body length? How many hrs total on prints and estimated build time? What was max speed on prints? Thank, in advance!

I am VERY interested in more details for this project
It would be cool to see a larger version with more sensors onboard. (Night vision, Thermal vision, etc. )
So uh ... I have questions. Why two 10mm rods to reinforce the wings yet flimsy 3d printed hinges for the control surfaces which are way more important? Also how the hell do you land the thing without destroying your camera and prop?!?!?!?
Yes make a video about this build on the electronics and modules
Please post video from autonomous flying with flight controller please
This is what I call a work of art. This project is so majestic. Just imagine a fatty substance with neurons (brain) capable of building such things. WoW
I've never heard of anyone blown up by an oil painting flying through the air. This isn't art, it's surveillance equipment at best.
@@luke8329 Someone needs a nap.

lol jk you aren't that interesting
production quality was so good that i started considering building my own
Please share a how to instructional video on the avionics 😊 I’m currently building your Stallion vtol aircraft I can’t wait to fly it!

VTOL? woww i must wach it. i like VTOLs.
That is one of the most beautiful designs I have seen for 3D printed planes. I need to build this! Thank you for your hard work designing this plane.
Dude, this is huge! This project seems very attainable. I am interested in planes because of their long flight times compared to quadcopters
i love the you got rid of the pen spring in the hatch design & i like the alignment lip as well! ill have to get a talon when i finish building my lark
I also love to see a video about the internal electronics. Nice video.
If only this has a way to add a high-res camera facing down for mapping!! This would give Wingtra a real run for their money!
The STEP files are available, so you can do that.
Just really crazy what you can do with 3d printing
Can you tell me what the spray in the video is? What is its function? Why do I need to spray it every time I use glue?
It’s an accelerator for the CA-glue. You don’t need to use it, but in some cases it is really useful.
@ thanks so much 👍🏻

Kudos on the design. Very clean and nicely executed prints. Very professional
This is wonderful. Thank you for providing all plans. You are very giving. I would greatly enjoy the wiring video.
Pozdrawiam pomysłowego rodaka 😊
Nice work I'm printing mine now.
Please finish the assembly tutorial also with the internal electronics.🙌
Excellent attention to detail
This is my favourite video now. I watched it 3 times already...today :)
Just bought the files, This is going to be an awesome project!
Hopefully I'll get it built before the o4 comes out!
I am currently working on a 3D printed RC-Car and now seeing this already gives me another project on my bucket list 😅 I will never stop to be amazed about what is possible with 3D-printing.
What remote controller you are using here?
That is some real quality brother. I love that talon.
Exceptional work!
Great guide! Alignment beans on other models’ fuselages would be superb 🙌

Yes mate, go in detailed video. I am dreaming to build myself like this. Super project, God bless you.
Definitely a video for the electronic components

I wonder if you can build a bigger version of this UAV. Thank you for sharing
This is so awsome!
what do you think about foldable propellers? Did you have any problems with propellers braking off or cranking motor mount when landing?
Im a beginner on rc airplanes. A video for electronics would be amazing!
Great video!! Please do a video on the electronics!!
Thank you.
With this design, and considering the electronics and motors you are using, can you provide a rough estimate of the flight duration?
Awesome video. Landing the thing must be a nightmare though. Do you have to catch it or scrap it onto the ground? You'd probably lose a finger trying to catch it.
it's ok, you can relaunch and use the camera to help look for the finger
How much did it cost, all told?
A dedicated video of the electronics beign put in would be great!
any update on the skygazer?
what is this Senus Spray and where can i find it to buy? what alternative are there to that spray. And do you use superglue?
As I say, it's a CA accelerator, which is optional but useful. Superglue is actually CA glue, but it's worth buying larger tubes for better value.
very neat work
Can the gimbal nose cone on the Talon be put on / or integrated with the Stallion VTOL?
So how do you land the thing? Or do I just accept that I run the risk of breaking things each time I land?
all time i want to make chanel with building stuffs and never start. But weel mean time i have viedeos like you. Nice fotage and explanation of building it. THank you. i subs and take you as reference, who know one day i start xD.
Yes, please do a video on the electronic used and how they go together
Can I find somewhere a list of all the improvements/adaptations made for the v2 in comparisson to the original talon 1400?
How did you do the aircraft balancing?
Beautiful work
It looks awsome but wont it be a little too heavy?
Outstanding 👍
Ues please make a video about the electronics! This is awesome!
Which 3d printer do you recommend?
Very clean and professional build!
How much filament did it take to build this plane?
@@nivki-dv6ws Thanks, one 750g roll of LW-PLA ✅
@FLIGHTORY I may have missed this - However what Printer was actually used for this build please?
how heavy of a payload could this deliver?
soldering and electronics video please. Great Build!
What is the print area needed? I have an Ender 3 V3 SE, i guess its 20x20x20 or 22x22x22 something around that
Brilliant, simply lovely!
Very nice work
Would you consider adding a landing gear for runway takeoff and landing?
Yes please! Would love to know about the electronics used
what is the entire Final weight after assembly the printed parts?
CONGRATULATIONS! Very cool ,
sad that in Brazil it is difficult to buy LW-PLA
Can this be used to fly a pre-programmed route? I'd love to be able to record one of Scotland's rivers using this.
@@COYR1903 Yes, you can easily plan routes using waypoints.
Great work!
WOW - I have no use for this, but I want one! 😃
It will be very interesting to watch a video about electronics. Thank you
Hey! How did you manage to give radius to edge of an airfoil in SolidWorks? Leave the radius aside I can't make any manuplations on airfoil sketch like offseting it. Is there any tricks about it?
Nice to see you're making electronics video. Would be cool to add a 360* "cinematic camera" on the bottom somewhere.
the model and its built are awesome! but how did you landed without damaging the propeller?
Wow, these print look so smooth? Are you just sanding them down or are you using a different techniqe?
As I mentioned in the video, I sanded it a bit with fine-grit sandpaper and painted it with primer. The surface looks very nice. I don’t have a recording, as I did this in a workshop area, but there’s nothing complicated about it ✈️
Czy możesz pokazać na jednym kadrze ruch lotek i aparature, żeby mieć pewność czy wszystko jest dobrze złożone
Very cool. I've been looking for a new 3d print project. How big could the stallion be scaled up?
I think that QIDI and maybe POLYMAKER have filaments specifically designed for projects like this. I’m curious if they are any better or what they are better at.
Why did you place the battery in the front and not closer to the center of lift?
There is no reason to place the battery at the center of pressure; instead, you place it to achieve the correct center of gravity for the aircraft.
Good work 👏
Yes! Show us more!
Is there a model that could suite a camera on its belly, with a open just for the lenses, like a multispectral camera? Ideally a VTOL with landing legs?
Currently, we don't have such a platform, but we are constantly working on new projects. You can expect something similar to appear in the future.
What cad program did you use there?!
Superb !!!
Hello, I am new to this, can you help me with the electronics connection and remote control settings?
Just bought the stallion model and VTOL addon. Would be good to see the electronics installation and flight controller settings.
May I please know the efficiency on this one
Yes mate - please make and show video where all cable connections and soldering are done step by step please!!!
Could you adapt the gimbal head to Stallion?
can you add a cargo section to it? I'm looking for a DIY drone that can carry 7-10 kg weight for about an hour
Where do you get motor, controller and so forth?
Aliexpress is enough
nice , but how do you launch it ? dangerous with the prop on the back
What's the highest payload, you figure? I wonder how big of a battery or camera you could stick in before getting serious diminishing returns with flight time.
Bravo. Go ahead
Awesome looking build! What is the span on wings and body length? How many hrs total on prints and estimated build time? What was max speed on prints? Thank, in advance!
I can only imagine how many layers of glue was on your hands after that :D Besides that, great job
i look forward to buy the files for the talon once i get my 3d printers that uav have so much potential
Are the .stl files for the M6 screws included?
@@manoslogothetis4247 yes
