Found this today, I live in Hollywood Fl, right nextdoor to Hallandale Fl. I'm pretty sure this club was the one right behind the Burger King on Hallandale beach blvd and I-95, so long ago can't remember the name of the club off hand though but I used to hang out with all the headbangers from Hallandale adult, where I went to school. We got kicked out of two or three restaurants on the street shooting straw wrappers at the ceiling till they got stuck in the roof, told us all to leave, crazy days man but I remember going to the Button, Culture room, etc, seeing all kinds of death metal and thrash metal acts.....lol
Actually most of the 90's death metal bands were doing it, pedals in front of JCM 800s. Now there is kEMPFER and AXE FX with a loadshit of EQs, amps, cabs sims... yet for me nothing is like a hot rodded Marshall.
Wrong on that one. TubeScreamer based drive made by Maxon pushes their Dual Recs to awesome stages. You simply can't compare Cannibal Corpse's tone to Deicide's sucky tone.
Such an unbelievably tight band. Steve Asheim is just so freakin good. God those blast beats are strong as hell all the way through the show. Never got sloppy ONCE. I saw them on this same tour at the first New England Hardcore and Metal Fest in Worcester, MA.
I was about 1 week old when this happened. Man, the moment I met Deicide when I was 11, my life changed and got the chance see them live back in 2016. Great times!
I saw an interview from recent years where Benton stated, rudely and hatefully, that he will never play Hoffman songs live again. Then chuckled at the fact that he owns the tracks. Grudge much!? Awesome upload. Awesome era. Still kills now, too.
Deicide has the blackest, haviest guitar riffs came straight from the pits of Hell and the most disturbing and hellish soloes in all Death Metal's story not the mention the best and most brutal vocalist and frontman ever.
I was about 12 when this show was filmed .. about the time my neighbor / friends older brother showed me this band .. still buy all their stuff 26 years later .. love this band
thank you for this wonderful upload of the TRUE Deicide.... just one big miss from this excellent show - why on Earth they played only Dead But Dreaming from Legion and nothing more... their best and one of the few legendary death metal albums got so little time on stage... Repent To Die, Trixifion, Behead The Prophet, In Hell I Burn... Brian and Eric riffs are amazing, such an outstanding performance
How tight is Steve Asheim live? The consistency of his feet, blasts and fills has been so underrated in the drumming world. Killer set list at this gig.
Deicide es una banda brutal , me acuerdo cuando era niño , la música que más se escuchaba en casa era precisamente la de está banda , y al ver este vídeo concierto me recuerdo de aquellos buenos tiempos .
I know they don’t play like this anymore, but I’m hyped as fuck to see them next month. Just this year I’ve seen Dying Fetus, Immolation, Incantation, Nile, lots of classic death metal bands no doubt!
Immolation is my fav band and still haven't seen them :(. I was going to a deicide concert later this year but the date where they came to town got cancelled. Hoping to see cannibal corpse for the first time in March
I seen Deicide in 1996/97 in London,Ontario,Canada at the old “Embassy Hotel” which was a sh*t hole bar that held 400 very cramped like sardines people but i seen a lot of great metal bands there. All these metal bands would play in London when they were either coming from Toronto or Detroit because London is in between Toronto & Detroit. The Deicide show i remember was ferocious & so intense, meaning awesome lol. I also seen Deicide in London,Ontario about 7-8yrs ago at the London Music Hall with Ralph Santolla & Jack Owen on guitar which was awesome as well imo. R.I.P. Ralph Santolla

@@MrLufelcan Agreed. An old band I used to play guitar in opened for them on a couple shows when they were touring for that album ( Upon the Cross ) The guitar leads are better on that album but, after that, Deicide's music degenerated quickly.
