#OPPOFindN3Flip #FoldablesReimagined
Linus hasn’t had the best luck with folding phones recently, and flip phones aren’t exactly his cup of tea. Can the OPPO Find N3 Flip change his mind with its near-invisible crease and triple camera setup?

I find it hilarious that (now with the discontinuation of the mini iPhones) if you need a small phone, you get a foldable
Mini iPhones still have small screens This thing has a bigger screen and all flagship features , mini iPhone screen is practically unusable if u used a normal screen because notch takes up screen space
Basically
mini iPhones: small screen small size
foldables: big screen small size
So besides reliability, foldables are the way to go.
@@shankarasrinivasan8881 Went from a max to a mini... It's very practical and usable.
I could get buy a mini iPhone and iPad for the price of these foldables. The value is not there yet.@@koushuu
@@shankarasrinivasan8881 as someone who uses a 12 mini still, the notch isnt a problem and the screen is more than usable. I am keeping it as long as possible, the form factor is so much better than larger phones.
No phone screen is "unusable" especially as we all made well use out of 2" screens in the past.
First flip in a while that looks even slightly appealing to me
*flip
I guess this guy corrected you from "foldable" and if he did I agree too, don't care for foldable phones at all but this thing is sick.
The Samsung flip phone looks great in person.
@@MrTekniqsI was thinking why would you want this over the samsung?
Camera maybe? I like the bigger outer screen on samsung's flip
Same here
Hope Linus tries the OnePlus Open! Since he’s into those kinds of folding phones
its almost perfect problem is just the camera and the back design.
@@paulxD25863 OnePlus Open has excellent cameras on par with the orthodox flagships.
@@jimboh.2654Why? What was wrong with it?
Video coming soon!
@@ShortCircuit YESSS!
What punishment? The title of the video implied there was going to be a catch but Linus was pretty positive all the way till the end and didn't seem to be disappointed in anything.
I think the joke is that he's being sucked into liking a folding phone again when he's been burned in the past.
Not 100 percent sure but its the case with many Oppo's. They don't sell them in the US and Canada and even if you did import it, it won't work with many carriers.
Long story short, the punishment is that if the phone is really good and he wants it, he won't be able to use it
The punishment is he has to use an Oppo phone.
Clickbait
The punishment of reviewing a decent foldable, knowing full well the Wing is coming.
Every time I see a review for a folding phone I want one more. They just keep getting better.
One day we’ll have options that are super affordable AND great… Maybe in a couple more years. I hope Apple decides to jump into folding too, maybe make folding iPads… that’d be sweet
@@DoctorX17 Affordable and Apple in the same sentence? The apple logo itself is an extra 500$
It also came in a folding box. Who thinks of that?
I like how your unit has a UK plug, but these are impossible to actually find in the UK through any of the main carriers.
Other countries like malaysia also use UK plugs. This phone is available in malaysia rn so i assume they just sent him a malaysian unit
Personally a big screen foldable would work better with my daily workflow, but i do think making the outside screen the same aspect ratio as a normal phone is really smart.
Yeah but then you make a big screen on the outside like Samsung and Motorola who will even want to open the phone 🤣🤣 I guess Oppo has done a great job though ngl. 😐😐
A slight telephoto lens is better for portraits. Wider angle lenses can really distort faces.
I have to say, this is the first folding phone I feel compelled to buy
Loved the voice dub of "44" watts! I had to listen a second time to hear that it was not Linus (I think it was Sarah?) 🤣🤣🤣
It's a computer generated voice.
I listened to it twice too 😂
Very disappointing IMO. Did they not learn a single thing about inserting corrections rather than take 15 seconds to do a take with correct info?
@@zybchthey literally reshot an entire video on the LTT channel because some information wasn’t accurate, Linus likely stumbled on his words and said it wrong, from the mouth reading I gathered he said 34 instead of 44.
It doesn’t warrant reshooting an entire video for 1 misspeak
can labs set up an automated phone folder to test those claims? would be neat, just like when yall did the USB comparison
✌️”labs”✌️
🤦♂️🤣
That’s NOT a serious lab.
I wonder how true to life the results of a constant back & forth test would be to real life usage, where there are often long gaps between when you open the phone...
@@unlokialol like you would have any idea.
Brilliant idea
@@unlokia wow you are so cool brooo
Wow, I now understand the vision of Labs, these graphs really make you understand with no bias (and the database will always grow)
The quality of that selfie at 4:05 is really good
Very glad to see linus wisdom back in the channel, most unboxings are by everyday people it seems. I'm a pixel fold user so foldables with linus input is amazing. linus apparently you read all comments, please note that I hate how LTT has this background audio track, I keep trying to pause my own music as it's distracting but its native?? also post production fix and you just overlay audio weirdly for a correction? reshoot the segment ffs
The price is good, only about $1000 USD in my country, but I paid that same price for a 1TB Galaxy Fold 4 after trading in a 2 year old (at that point) Note 20, so through that lens it's quite expensive
I can almost definitely say that if OnePlus releases a flip to go with the Open, it will look just like this N3 Flip. The OP Open is basically a re-branded Oppo N3 Fold.
I've been using the Find N2 flip for about 5 months now, i love it, a lot! I've also had sooo many people ask me about my phone lol
Can’t wait for Linus’s LG Wing!!!
Hey, question for you guys, would it be possible to simulate the phones speaker or any speaker that you are reviewing? I watched the other video at minus’s house where they simulated the 3-D sound. If you’re able to get the sound pattern of devices, couldn’t you replicate how they sound in the real world with headphones on?
Could you use that fancy temperature controlled doohiky to see what is the "freezing" point of these folding screens? For those of us that live in colder climates i'm scared to use a fold during the winter periods when things may become a little more "stiff".
Looks decent. Went to their website through your link. Not avaible in North America and no prices listed. Unfortunate
This might be the most solid flip phone I've seen so far.
I mean apparently the Oppo fold is the nearest to the perfect food yet made with amazingly high end chips, camaras, screen, etc and the size is supposedly the closest to the perfect size and weight, thickness etc and the big screen has the best optimisation yet.
so I thought for a wild moment everyone would have added the new OnePlus folding phone to the vote and that'd have fit your bill but this surprised me
Man, between this and the OnePlus Open, this is the kinda thing I wanna see happen.
THIS PHONE DESERVES TO BE A TABLET STYLE FOLDABLE!!! That crease is so gd cool!
Nice LTT and short-circuit spoiling us today! THANKS FOR ALL THE WORK!
@@Darqon505 ty fixed
Using lots of capitals and exclamation marks DOESN’T make your point more valid.
Cut the cheese hype style.
@@unlokia who are you , and why you care ? and why so angry? relax hope you have a nice day and everything gets better for you, much love.
@@CantStopTheSignal337 Why you care? are you paying my internet? and why not? I enjoy watching it.
The crease seems to show slightly more after it's been folded and opened a couple of times during the unboxing
The selfies taken in the video should be a new meme desk pad
Hi. Have you had any chance try to hook it up with an external monitor using cable (type-c, hdmi)?
LOL. That "44" dub was hilarious. I wonder why 7:22 is the most replayed moment, hahahaha
installing ur linage os on this somehow would make it perfect (aside from micro sd and aux ofc)
I'm really curious about the durability of mediatek processors
We're back to flip phones. The circle is complete.
looks promising for the future of flips
Give it some years and i may change to a foldable phone but right now i just don't trust the hinges and screens at the price point some of them are!
Unless the laws of universe changes, anything that bends repeatedly will cause failure. Having hinge is other point of failure. Never understood why we need a flip phone. Old phones made sense because they didn't have screen that bend.
Great that they make claims about durability of the hinge - but how many times will you have to replace the screen to get anywhere near that hinge lifespan - is it 10 or 100 or maybe 1000 times?
I like how you can put that phone dawn without the camera hitting the desk every time. I really don't feel okay when mine kisses the desk.
i love flip phones way more then foldable phones. the size and the formfactor for the phone makes it way more practicable the the folds. and important, they can made them bigger that you have a smal one in the pocket but a Phablet when you need it. and i carry my flip fold a long time and know what i say
just random question, why isn't the side mounted fingerprint sensor the standard? it literally has no flaws, and fixes all problems with other types
Oneplus also sends a charger due to the wattage being so high. Like 60-80W for the Supervocc charging
Gotta love that "44" robot voice correction. :P
Lovr that tacked on "44"
This phone loos sick, but I just cannot comprehend why it still has a holepunch camera messing up the screen. It has an outside screen that allows you take take selfies perfectly fine and it doesn't have facial recognission. Maybe I'm weird for rarely taking selfies or video calling, but I would trade the slight inconvenience of using the smaller screen over having that ugly black dot on my screen at all times, any day of the week.
Inside camera is primarily for video calling, not selfies. Lot of professionals need to take video calls on the go so it's not something that can be done away with. The outside screen is too small for a group call. At most they can put in a smaller sensor which only does 720p above the screen or so since most video calls hardly ever transmit anything more than 720p.
I wonder if he managed to not mention that the charger has british plug or they just edited it out 😅
after my flip 4 got destroyed by the smallest fall (falling on the hinge) im good with folding phones, love the pixel 8 pro instead
Damn this sponsored video doesn't look sponsored at all. Honest opinion on the phone and looks really good
How was the camera bump design so good on the N2 but now so weird on the N3?!?!
There will NEVER be a point where you can’t see any deformation of the crease in a detailed reflection.
Even atomic level defects will alter the light. All that really matters is how it feels and how it looks with the screen on when you’re trying to watch content (particularly dark content)
nice , I would like to see the telephoto of the guys on the studio to see the optical quality ...
How useful is a half size phone that I have to open to be of any kind of real use?
You should review The Fold version❤🎉
8:14 the device does not respond to his inputs 4 times in a row then it cuts away?
How is an alert slider a great feature? It's something I haven't used in 4yrs on my previous 2 iPhone Pros and am happy to see it gone.
We have yet to reach a fully flexible phone where I can wear it.
The concept was there a few years back, but there has not been a real finished product for it.
Really would like to see an actual "review" from Bell on this (prob main channel content).
Way back in the covered wagon analog days I always had a flip phone. These new ones look OK I guess but they have a lot of kinks to work out and the prices have to come down...way down before I take the leap.
What was that 44 7:29 about the 44 watt charging?
I rewinded 10 sec to make sure it wasn't Honor Yoyo acting up in the middle. 😂😂
Try the one Plus open. It looks interesting
❤❤That alert slider ❤❤
I pretty impressed with this one considering how small the crease is! 9:47
4:43 This has the potential to become a new meme template.
Journey to the invisible crease.
Regular mediatech 9200 is suppose to compete with snapdragon 8 Gen 2? Linus, please...
You guys should definitely try fhe moto razor plus too!
I hope Oppo have the same app like Good Lock in samsung for more versatile experience on the mini screen
sorry for the question, but does anybody know name of the folding laptop
Waiting to see that LG Wing, Linus
2:08 SICK! 😎
I have always wanted a folding laptop!
the only folding phone with the correct aspect ratio on the outside display.
7:23 the "44" correction made me rewind to listen again 😅
Huh. A flip phone I'm actually interested in. Guess I'm gonna try for either the Z flip 5 or this one..
My flip 5 is awesome.
@@myaccount__7269 I'm curious, can the flip 5 last a whole day? Like if you're not using it all day, will there be enough battery for the day after or will you still have to give it a charge?
I bet you will like the one plus open
is it better than a find X3 pro? my find x3 can record 4k60 but I only use 1080p lol
Wow that's really turn every nostalgic design upside down.
not one critique of your sponsored phone, dont you go on a whole wan show speal about making sure to review fair regardless of sponsor
God do i miss these fingerprint sensors on the power button and the super fast charging.
Wheres the video of linus' folding laptop?
I thought, that their work with Hasselblad ends with the orange shutter button and color grading.
When do you get your LG Wing?
7:30 the battery costs 23$ to replace on the Oppo Flip phones, charge without any hesitation lol
My one plus ekeven came with a screen protector and a charger too. Some brands still care
snapdragon gen 3 out tho and performance is 🔥
Nice UK charger for you 😂😂😂
I might get anxiety using a flip phone that thin ngl, phone might just broke in half all of a sudden 😂
Wait why didn’t this one come up in my recommended? I watch these all the time and I’m subbed… algorithm fail
OMG I'LL GET THIS JUST FOR THE TAMAGOTCHI FEATURE
I went to the web site and could not figure out how to buy one. Pls help.
Good no complain from beginning
what phone linux use now
now all they gotta do is make foldables actually affordable
Does this come in 512GB? The last I saw is only 256GB. Only the fold would have 512GB storage. Love the review! You guys are great!
This lab is taking awfully long, I would love to watch a video on WHYYYY haha
what about the OnePlus Open?
Oppo and vivo has been making very good phones for years - even bought a vivo fold 2 as my primary phone and it's blows away the competition
Make or break is the price. This could be just what I was waiting for... if the price is right.
This is the first flip phone with a telephoto lens. Combined with the fact that it's slightly cheaper than the flip5, at least in my region, this makes this a better deal.
The software is really worse compared samsung's one ui
Looks awesome. No SD card slot though so count me out
