If the demo unit isn't even feature complete and the marketing makes no word of the touchscreen either I would at least wait for a review of a production unit before ordering. Props to LMG for biting the bullet here.

Those are people that were the type to watch it straight away and get the algorithm to boost the video. After re-uploading, they're not going to rewatch the same video, so the algorithm sees it as a video people don't want to watch and doesn't promote it
My question is why didn't AYANEO let them know this was a preproduction model with the added fixes to come with the production model in the first place? They most likely were already aware of said issues with the quickness of response time. It just leaves a bad first impression an makes LTT look silly, and having them go through this correction process. It's nice to see these updates, but probably could have been avoided in the first place.
They did let them know. The later note about the screen turning off had a note that Ayaneo told them that this was a preproduction sample was included in the first video.
Especially when Linus has spoken so highly about this company so many times, and then what they do is they just disrespect him by not sending him a production model and then not telling him about certain features that differ between the unit sent and the production model.
It's more of a pre-pre-production prototype if it has placeholders for major components such as a random screen that engineering happened to have that's non-touch and turns off randomly every now and then. It's certainly not ready to be reviewed because the reviewer won't get a feel for how the thing feels to use when it's missing a major input device.

I have the Legion Go… The larger screen is the reason. I had trouble reading text on the screen in some games with the Ally. My lady loves the Ally though, and has been using it rather than her desktop with a 4070 Ti…

I feel like we are going to eventually see a proper merge between phone and portable PC. Not a gaming phone that can handle crappy apps better than a regular phone, a phone capable of playing games on steam but is also a phone.

I like the review. A little suggestion: The Steam Deck seems to be the reference point for performance and it would be amazing to add it in the graphs for comparisons. Yes, I can look up numbers, but it is difficult to find a benchmark with the exact same settings, resolution , etc.
Especially in regards to battery life. What put me off all the Windows handhelds was how much shorter the battery life was if you wanted to use any of the extra power on the go.
It looks nice... But 6" display just won't cut it for me. After using the Legion Go at nearly 9", I have trouble going back to the Steam Deck at 7"... -She

I almost left a comment yesterday saying it not having a touch screen would have been a deal breaker. It does having a touch screen really does change the whole video.
Extremely happy to see this video re-uploaded and not just edited or commented under, I watched the original and was disappointed in this not having a touch screen, this being re-uploaded brings it more to the attention of the daily viewers. I still wish they had actually shot a new insert instead of the voiceover, but a great step in the right direction and WAY more transparent.
I was never one of those LTT nay sayers in the first place but seeing these videos get touched up after upload so fast is something I appreciate. You can never account for EVERYTHING right off the bat but it takes balls to drop a video and reload it and I appreciate that LTT integrity is that high.

I thought its a great way to handle that its a review unit and different from what will hit my hands. Though I thought the whole thing last year was blown out of proportion so...

Not gonna lie, with a touchscreen and some of the issues sorted out, that's a solid product. Some of the stuff like the steam deck or ally are just a bit too big in some cases. I played on a PSP for years and loved every second at a small screen size.
I love all of the handhelds even though I've never touched any of them. The deck, the Aly, the go... they are all cool and I'd love to have one. I just stream to a 15 inch laptop on my nightstand lol

It's funny, everybody complains about fan noise (especially on the Steamdeck), but when I got my Deck, it wasn't loud at all. It's just a little bit of background white noise, so unless you have weirdly sensitive hearing and are annoyed by it, it's not a problem...and if you are using the speakers or headphones you notice it even less. I ended up switching it back to the older "basically runs max all the time" mode so it would be a bit cooler.

I’ve never tried an Aya Neo device I’ve found comfortable to hold at all. Really the only device I’ve found works for me is the Steam Deck with a case. I have a really big hands.
honestly i think more companies should be focusing on battery life like the steam deck does. The oled can last like 8 hours on low end games, and even still like 6-5 hours on something like half life 2 or portal 2, even at 90fps
I'm confused as to why they came up with such an odd mechanism to have the screen slide and tilt when... you could have just made it a hinge. Clamshell design protects the screen when not in use! Am I missing some big upside to this sliding design?
I don’t understand the included keyboards with handheld, not like you can lay the handheld down and play full keyboard controls. More macro button would be better. The tilt makes it slightly more comfortable, but not completely. I personally wouldn’t get a handheld with a keyboard.
With all the technical problems experienced in this video, I think this demonstration was a disaster. Linus managed to make some funny remarks which were entertaining, but do not distract from the incredibly flawed experience. I am aware this is a demo unit, but there were certain flaws that should NOT be happening even at this early stage. Such as the screen turning off and the aspect ratio suddenly changing. I want to see a review from Linus to know what he thinks of this overall.

How does the sleep/lock function work though? Does it have some sort of lower power, screen off mode, like a phone would? I usually get calls from my desktop, rather than paying for cell services. Would be nice to still have the ringer able to go off when the the screen is off.

Imo nothing will beat the steam deck for me. In terms of screen size, performance, battery life and ergonomics It's basically the perfect device for me and with the introduction of the Oled model making the screen far better which I sadly do not own nor can afford only solidifies my opinion more.
These handhelds are getting cooler and cooler, And eventually they'll make one that I can't not buy, I'm holdidng out for a 120hz oled panel, 6inch or bigger and hopefully something with 16-32GB of ram and a keyboard like this one has, and hopefully a bigger battery.
I had a T-mobile Sidekick back in the day, and I loved the keyboard on the thing, but that was pre smartphone era when texting was far more cumbersome without a dedicated keyboard. The phone style keyboard on handheld PC's like this one are made redundant by touchscreens and on-screen keyboards. It's marginally faster to type with physical keys, but this is a thumb only keyboard so you aren't going to be doing any serious typing on it in the first place. Slightly faster typing isn't worth the trade-off of a bulkier device with more points of failure.

I have tested all those devices, rog ally, gpd win4, mini, legion go...and I can say Legion go is the best in term of build quality.

its more likely that it has a touchscreen and the ribbon cable was nicked in the build process, hence the screen freak out in the video.
