To fix the Chrome window issue: Plug in a mouse and keyboard, open a new Chrome window, move the window to the top screen (make sure this Chrome window is NOT in fullscreen mode), with the Chrome window up top hold the "ctrl" key on your keyboard and with that key held down left-click (so the normal click) on the mouse to close the window (so click on the "X" button top-right of the Chrome window with the mouse). This tells Windows that you would like Chrome (or any application) to open in that area of screen (unfortunately this does not always work).
The RUclips algorithm is so dumb. I haven't seen any Wulff Den videos on my feed for months and then just now I thought, "I wonder what Bob has been up to? Did he leave RUclips?" so I search for your account and sure enough there's tonnes of new videos that YT hasn't been serving to me. It's such an overly reactive algorithm.
The bottom screen on the Ayaneo flip ds is smaller than all the ds's bottom screens which is pathetic Imagine paying £800 to £1000 for it and it has a smaller bottom screen than a 2004 handheld console
This is awesome, but also one of those EXTREMELY NICHE USECASE kind of devices. Like, most of the stuff you could use this for can be done on a modded 3DS or another PC/Android handheld, but the Wii U emulation is something so unique to this that it works as a compelling selling point. I suppose if you're looking for a beefy handheld PC it also works, but as someone with a almost $4000 gaming PC that's not something I'm particularly interested in with any of these handhelds.
I think everyone seems stuck with the idea that you have to emulate 3DS and WII U on this machine, well it would do great, but I ordered mine with an idea to just multi-tasking on the fly when I travel around coz I dont have full PC setup in all the places I need to stay, so having 2 screens to play a game and watch a football match is freaking great. It literally depends on the use cases for each individual whether that price point is worth your bucks.
It's a micro switch D-Pad, which is perfect for many D-Pad type games, the trouble is, there are games perfect for micro-switches, like arcade platformers and shmups, beat'em'ups, platformers, and bad for others where you need to roll the D-Pad, but micro-switch offers precise and accurate feedback at least and is the best all-rounder D-Pad, once you get used to the Neo Geo micro-switch D-Pad for retro games, it's hard to go back to normal D-Pad's imo.
These devices are cool to see where the current ‘edge’ of handhelds can be. Also I think a lot of these PC handhelds are a good indicator for what Nintendo WON’T and will do. I don’t imagine Nintendo releasing a handheld with less than 3 hours battery life which definitely limits them. I just cannot imagine a Nintendo device that would only have 1 or 2 hours when it was brand new. If the next Switch has 3 hours I will be fine with that since I rarely play that long in portable anyways and you can always bring a big battery charger along if you end up playing longer on a flight or long road trip. The other thing I’ve really appreciated about seeing all the devices that have come out since the Switch is just how damn efficient the Switch is. They really nailed it with battery life from day 1 with the Switch and somehow made it so devs could make games for 8 years though I think we hit the wall in terms of what Switch can do pretty fast at launch. The balance of power and efficiency with affordability is a difficult one Nintendo engineers have no doubt been dealing with. If we can get a portable PS4 power Switch I’ll be pretty happy though I still don’t think Nintendo is there yet. The development of the mobile space and all these portable PCs is rapidly changing and that is one reason I am glad Nintendo has ‘delayed’ the next system until 2025. Better late and better than early and weak sauce. The Switch 2 would do well to become a line of devices like iPhone where upgrades can be added on yearly or every other year basis but I just don’t think that would fit Nintendo’s image. I just don’t imagine Nintendo Switch 2 will be even as strong as Steam Deck but that would be amazing just to be on par with it.
An AyaNeo Slide DS would be better. - 2 x huge equally sized screens - More spacious and normal layout because the controllers are on the side - Can be played like a normal handheld or slide the screen up play dual screen/video watching. I would buy an "ultra" sized option 2 x 10"+ screen model in a heartbeat.
If Wii U / Switch / Xbox / PS3 / PC games aren’t a necessity, I’d say a Surface Duo (2 if possible) is the superior DS device with a telescopic controller, ofc. Much better battery life than the Ayaneo along with dual OLED displays. Also, a lot les headache and tinkering with these emulator settings to get dual screen working for DS as Drastic works perfect for it. The fact that both displays are near 6” 4:3 displays that fold completely fold back, makes it also perfect for all 4:3 systems like N64, GC, PS2, SNES, etc. Pair this with any other PC handheld like Ally or Deck OLED and you’re at near the same price as the Ayaneo DS with one being dedicated more for a emulation system with longer battery.
14:36 I think for borderless gaming you have to choose the process binary name (AKA the .exe option)... so it disregards the titles, and immediately recognizes the emulator. It'll save you from the annoying setup of every game that you emulate. The All-in-one solution. Give it a try Wulff Den.
TL;DR: I think this is neat, there's some stuff I dislike like how recessed those control sticks are and how shallow the buttons are, and obviously that price point is a big point of contention, but I can see more stuff like this coming out in the future for cheaper as they years roll by. I can definitely see a value in replicating the DS' dual screen and/or clam shell design. If engineered well, the clam shell design is actually a really good way of making the system smaller (thus more portable) and better at protecting the screen and controls in case of drops (if dropped while closed at least.). And now that Nintendo seems to be done with the DS line of consoles, being able to play DS and 3DS games in the ways the developers intended is only going to get harder and harder now. These games were designed to have a second touchable screen right below the top screen, so I definitely see an appeal in making a new beefed up knock-off DS. Something that can play DS and 3DS games with a higher resolution while also being strong enough to play games designed for more taxing systems. You've got texture packs for Majora's mask 3D that an official 3DS model simply doesn't have the power to run nowadays too. And while we all have smart phones now, I think it's a nice quality of life feature to be able to play a single screen game on one screen and have a guide open on another. I'm not really liking the how deep into the console the control sticks seem to be though. They probably did that so the device could fold ontop of itself, but I wonder why they didn't just copy Nintendo and make a small disc shaped pad as the control sticks rather than a recessed stick. The buttons are also seem a little too shallow too, they make me think I'd get a hand cramp trying to hold them for too long (to be fair, I would get slight cramps trying to hold the gas button in Mario Kart for the 3DS back in the day too). The DS/3DS is still my preferred device to play the Ace Attorney series on despite the switch and PC collections for the games, I pick the games up every couple of years and playthrough them in bed like I'm reading a book before going to sleep, the DS just feels right for that series. And then there is some games like Hotel Dusk which is probably never getting ported to any else and that was physically designed for a DS. And while the Switch is a portable console as well it simply is just slightly too unwieldy for me to use as a portable console, while also just being too under powered to be what I look to game on at home. That all being said... 800 to 900 dollars is *STEEP*. At that price, like you said, you could just buy a 3ds/"new" 3ds secondhand with a bunch of games and still be able to play a bunch of emulators (up to a PS1 on the "new" 3DS model). Compatability on PS1 games for 3DS is pretty hit or miss, but it's a least very cool you could do that. And if you don't care about the second screen feature, you could just buy a Steam Deck, a Switch to hack, or one of those Gameboy look-a-alike emulation devices. I think this device will really only appeal to people who feel the same way about my previous paragraph while also really enjoying tinkering with a device and making it just the way they want it. You spent a lot of time setting up the device, and for a lot of people that's a minus to just plugging and playing, but I do think there's an audience of people who genuinely enjoy messing with the settings until they're just right (and then not playing the actual games they've installed because they spent all their energy on that. But hey, we all have fun in our own ways. Some people might prefer messing around with the insides of their car over actually driving it, they're probably called mechanics lol) I'm willing to believe the price is due to the high specs, difficult to manufacture shape, and niche expected demand. Let's remember that most game consoles are typically sold at a loss so that more people will buy the games that actually make the company money, while this has no expected revenue stream outside of just selling the console. But I'm sure as the years go by, the manufacturing process will be figured out better and the specs will be easier to achieve, so the price will probably go down on updated models in the future.
I just have to say that I absolutely love my Lenovo Legion Go! Like that thing is such a great little device for literally any and every type of gaming. The controller and joysticks are really good and responsive as well as the ergonomics being good for me at least. Plus like there hasn't been a game that I have not been able to play other than City Skylines 2 in terms of power or like issues running. Literally everything else and I have tested and played load of games and like AAA titles on here that work great so far. The only other thing you have to watch out for is the same thing that all of these will have to watch and that's games that don't have controller support like older PC games which is a bit of a let down but that's not on the handhelds fault its more of just old steam and PC games sometimes didn't integrate like Xbox 360 controller support and such. Other wise that screen is big and beautiful and this is literally one of the only handheld devices that I think would be really great for games like Baldurs Gate 3 and Divinity original sin 2 because like the words and screen sizing makes games so nice to play and its really easy to see and read things that are smaller text in games. I do also like that on Lenovo website you have the option to buy all the parts for your Legion go, I do think they need to bring the prices down but for a first generation product I can forgive some things like the controllers and replacement parts being a little expensive. Over all the device is worth the money they are charging and such a good time. I would recommend getting some joystick extenders but like this has a better controller than the PS5 or Xbox rn honestly and having Hall effect is a game changer fr! I am really interested in something like this for mainly emulation but I really don't know if the prices are justified because with the controller and joysticks being recessed and things like that it will make playing games like FPS and others really not pleasant to play for me at least! Edit: One side note if you are buying one of these handhelds just know there could be resolution issues where games don't always want to choose the right screen resolution or size. This has only happened on a few games where it seems to be pretty normal like YuGiOh the old card game steam version where I had to go into the files and like force it to do 1920x1200p 🤷♂ Generally there seems to always be a work around for the like 2-3 games I have had this issue with just look online.

Oh no you didn't just do the buggy audio thingy in the beginning! God Tier
I’ve dreamed of a handheld PC like this. It’s nice to know that this dream finally came true.
Take a drink every time Bob says CEMU
Cemoo
Love the design, wish the bottom screen was larger
Very cool intro
Very cool comment
Very cool dog profile
Very cool dark side
So glad Stilgar could make his Wulff Den debut
1:02
That was kinda scary
the music coming and going with the flickering of the screen was perfection hahahaha
okay the real question is if it has a stylus
18:01 that "Stilgar almost forgets to say it" 15 second video is literally on my home screen right now lol
800 dollars
*EXPLODES* 😂
Finally, a handheld version of the 3DS!
I physically recoiled when he threw all the games on the 3ds
I could see people getting this as a handheld gaming pc and the (3)ds/wiiu capabilities is a nice bonus
get a steam deck and a new 3ds and spend the left over money on something else, idk, rent maybe or groceries..
Copium
AYANEO is mocking anyone who buys this joke of a device
2:46 the *Ultimate ADHD Handheld™*
tbh, the D-pad feels premium but also bad, since it is just a clicky button.
2:37 my AirPods died at the same time he said “F**k”😂
In all fairness, 800$ these days doesn’t get you very far.
Gives me mad throw back vibes to the portable dvd player for roadtrips days.. that and Boss Baby.. mad Boss Baby vibes
I just modded my old and new 3ds xls and I STILL want this omg it’s beautiful
The ultimate road trip buddy just make sure to have a few seasons or movies on that jawn and your best games
Your way to do the sponsor part is the best
An AyaNeo Slide DS would be better.
- 2 x huge equally sized screens
- More spacious and normal layout because the controllers are on the side
- Can be played like a normal handheld or slide the screen up play dual screen/video watching.
I would buy an "ultra" sized option 2 x 10"+ screen model in a heartbeat.
The fact that this intro is a lot cooler than AYANEO's official trailer...
I clicked the video without seeing the title and channel, thinking it was cyberpunk related since this guy looks like Johny silverhand with long hair
14:36 I think for borderless gaming you have to choose the process binary name (AKA the .exe option)... so it disregards the titles, and immediately recognizes the emulator. It'll save you from the annoying setup of every game that you emulate. The All-in-one solution. Give it a try Wulff Den.
I swear every video you release is like a movie premier. Fantastic work!
0:42 Laughed so hard 😂 Great editing idea
Some people might prefer messing around with the insides of their car over actually driving it, they're probably called mechanics lol)
I'm willing to believe the price is due to the high specs, difficult to manufacture shape, and niche expected demand.
20:26 Market's not yet calmed down enough to do that buddy!
its kind of cool in a way that now we have the win4 as a psvita pc handheld, & we have this as a DS PC Handheld.
I actually love the look of this. I will never buy one, or even see one in real life, but it looks pretty rad to use a few times.
i dig the thirst trap camera work at the beginning as if this wasn’t a hideous, chinese bootleg looking device.
This has only happened on a few games where it seems to be pretty normal like YuGiOh the old card game steam version where I had to go into the files and like force it to do 1920x1200p 🤷♂ Generally there seems to always be a work around for the like 2-3 games I have had this issue with just look online.
oh yeah 3ds pokemon games are gonna look so good
the cycle of waiting for this to go on sale vs waiting for the next product will be legendary (im never going to end up gettng one)
edit : 800 DOLLARS???!
