@@KnightlyKnow v1.2 has a Nuzlocke mode with built-in level caps, just booted up the save and it looks like you *can* candy up after each fight. Okay first off sorry for the super late reply! Second, I reviewed the unedited footage and Marco is just holding the Exp share (you get two in this hack to speed up leveling) if you notice Ace was super close to leveling up and so was Marco!
Hi! Can you explain more about the guaranteed Ghastly at 2:28? I'm hearing a lot of Nuzlocke runners talk about guaranteed encounters, but finding information about them is difficult.
Basically there’s something called Dupe Clause which most Nuzlockers play with. The idea is that if your first encounter on a route is a Pokemon you already caught, then you can run away and get a different encounter so that you team isn’t made of 20 ratattas. Because he had already caught the other Pokemon that can show up on the route, he could reroll his encounter until he gets Gastly. Another more complex way of guaranteeing encounters is using repels. A repel only prevents Pokemon with lower levels than your lead Pokemon from appearing when you run in grass, so if your lead pokemon is an equal or lower level than the level of the pokemon you want to catch you can guarantee that Pokemon. Sometimes some Pokemon appear at higher levels on routes than other Pokemon Hope this helps
to add as well as the dupe clause if you look up wild pokemon encounters beforehand you can look up the level ranges of certain encounters and use a repel with a pokemon who has the exact same level as the encounter pokemon increasing the chances you find the desired mon or "guaranteeing" it
@@platypuspatrol9625 Dupes clause is optional but playing with it is generally better as it promotes team diversity but also a challenge as you could end up with a team consisting of multiple Intimidate Gyarados' which would trivialize most battles. I use a looser version of dupes clause (the option to re-encounter if I run into a dupe) but play by species clause when it comes to team-building.
Normally you can swap your Pokémon for free after defeating a trainers Pokémon this makes the game almost always in your favor because you know what's coming next and can react for free. Set mode removes this.

Wish
This sweep almost didn't happen Ace had 60% HP left WHEN LANCE'S GYARADOS SCORED A CRIT AQUA TAIL that left Ace on 4HP luckily the previous turn I had set up a Wish which combined with leftovers brought him back up just above half
Ace was the only survivor I had left from my OG 6 team members the other 5 had been:
Dan the Phanpy died against Proton in slowpoke well
Tyranno the Larvitar who somehow got critted in Bugsys gym despite having battle armor
Ferno the Quilava who died to a crit wing attack from Silvers Murkrow
Charger the Heracross who died to a crit against a trainers Golduck
And Vanoss the Noctowl who died you guessed it to a crit from Petrel in Mahogany Town

Ace the Umbreon
Wavecrash the Gyarados
Spinner the Hitmontop
Hunter the Scizor
Nightwing the Honchkrow
Vexos the Gengar
We cleared Will, Koga and Bruno with some close calls but no deaths but unfortunately lost Spinner to a fire blast from Karen's Houndoom as Spinners attack got a low roll leaving Houndoom in the red
Second time: Sacred gold nuzlole rematch battle:
Same Moveset
Same outcome minus the near death crit
Even though Lances team now had physical and special attackers (originally they were all physical attackers) Ace still managed to solo sweep
Took Ace to Red and he survived there too but didn't solo sweep.
Third sweep: Liquid Crystal (none nuzloke)
Aces moveset:
Double team
Faint Attack
Toxic
Moonlight
Though he did know Confuse Ray before Moonlight
Ace did almost sweep Lance a second time in Liquid crystal actually knocked out 5 of Lances pokemon but he got critted by Aerodactyls Brave bird luckily Aerodactyl was in range that any attack would kill and out of Lance healing range

WAIT THE HARD LEVEL CAP GOES UP WITH EACH E4 MEMBER??? Bro I wiped to the champion with my team of level 50-51s, couldve won if I knew that
I’m not really sure how most people do level caps for the E4! But I do it that way because I have access to rare candies and it feels the most fair! But hey some people even treat the level cap like the champion is the only one that matters! Good luck on your next run!
@@KnightlyKnow v1.2 has a Nuzlocke mode with built-in level caps, just booted up the save and it looks like you *can* candy up after each fight.
Seems really unintuitive to me, as most nuzlockers I see set their E4 cap to the final E4 member, not the first. Mightve saved me the wipe.
Great vid so far, Ill watch the rest later as I still want to play blind
@@hunter00143 well thank you so much for watching at all! And good luck on the battles to come lol
One piece names, took like 3 encounters haha
I'm glad I was worried the names wouldn't be main stream enough for people! (the early names)
you could have named electrode Kizaru
Oh man can’t believe I didn’t use that name at all
Jynx is op in the first couple games
I didn’t know this until now she carried me through a lot of fights !
Are you just grinding to get your mons levelled up or did you find hack in rare candies? Im finding all my mons at least 10 levels lower than every fight
Join the discord they gave me a rare candy code and should do the same for you!
Poneglyph is perfect
I glad you think so I was really proud of myself when I picked that name
Did ya break the rules at 4:04? Marco wasn’t shown in the battle of the second gym until Bugsy Ace lvl 16 scyther came out but Marco was already 17 which is over the lvl cap before the battle….sus
Okay first off sorry for the super late reply! Second, I reviewed the unedited footage and Marco is just holding the Exp share (you get two in this hack to speed up leveling) if you notice Ace was super close to leveling up and so was Marco!
Did you always grind ur Pokemon? because i was underleveled after 3-4 deaths
I was grinding up to my 7th gym. After that I got the rare candy code from the discord in the description!
A one piece reference instant sub..
Best anime of all time 🙏
Those are not legos are pokebolls of all pokemons in national dex.. count them
Oh dang that’s really cool!
did you watch yugioh as a kid? you might have had a lapse in memory and confused it with Pegasus' Ryu-Ran
Oh man you just unlocked some forgotten memories lol
A Fairytale fan
Man it’s been a minute since I watched fairy tale
Sometimes some Pokemon appear at higher levels on routes than other Pokemon
Hope this helps
to add as well as the dupe clause if you look up wild pokemon encounters beforehand you can look up the level ranges of certain encounters and use a repel with a pokemon who has the exact same level as the encounter pokemon increasing the chances you find the desired mon or "guaranteeing" it
They pretty much covered everything thank you!
Isn't there a built in level cap mechanic to this mod? Just saying there should have been know worries about over leveling.
I’m not sure, I played on the first version so it might have been added after I played
@@KnightlyKnow Ah, version 1.2 has Hard Mode with this feature added.
@@JintoStrife Oh dang I might have to come back some time and beat it!
Why does everybody sleep on buffed mosdreavus :(
You know out of all the buffs I didn’t really check it’s out
You didn't have a Rare Candy code?... Doesn't Smith put one in the description of his video?
I played day one, so I didn’t get the code until after Jasmin!
@@KnightlyKnow I see
Why didn’t you show the 3rd rival battle?
Honestly I just thought the fight was boring so I skipped it! Now I am sad I missed the post game rival fights
The nickname theme is one piece!
Yes it is! I had to give love to my favorite anime
Its not Legos its pokeballs. Count them and there are 233 pokbvalls wich js how many pokemon he owns
Wait is this real? If so that’s so cool
Who do you think matched their name the best? Personally my favorite was Soul King the Gastly!
33:40 convinced me Doflamingo’s name was perfect. He don’t play that shit!
@@darby6588 Haha Doflamingo carried not gonna lie!
Niceeee
Thanks 🤗
My one complaint is that you named stating Kaido instead of gyarados
Dang your actually so right!
You should have evolved Haunter by 32! :(
I think they made it evolve later than that sadly :(
It evolves with Moon Stone no? Maybe I'm remembering it wrong. @@KnightlyKnow
@@reeceb4973 oh man I thought it was a set level like 40? If it was moon stone then I’m so disappointed in myself lol
42 I believe
@@CaptainChief33 okay good I didn’t throw.. we’ll I threw but not completely.
You used the Masterball on a Slowpoke, why? Clearly you should have used it on a Furrett
Haha I’m glad someone caught that!
to avoid thaat first sentret encounter bad luck? xD
@@riccardomosena4162 yeahhh still disappointed about that lol
What's set mode?
Normally you can swap your Pokémon for free after defeating a trainers Pokémon this makes the game almost always in your favor because you know what's coming next and can react for free. Set mode removes this.
@@KnightlyKnow I'm too lazy to switch them anyways.
lmao@@drakesherwood141
How did you level up between e4 members?
I used the rare candy code smith and his team provided for nuzelockes! I only got access to the code half way through my run
@@KnightlyKnow can you share this code please?
@@yncomun1112 sorry I’m having trouble finding it! Join the discord in the description and the community will find it for you!
28:58 nothing happened
Haha thanks for watching!
im surprised that after 2 potential gyarados', neither claimed the kaido nickname. good run
I knowww I can’t believe I didn’t think of that!
How did you knock out 2 good Pokémon when trying to catch ?
I knowww the red Gyrados was heart breaking!
