The hair doesn’t look awful however, at this rate Mischa Maisky better watch out 😂 Very informative video and really lovely that you take the time to give thoughtful help and feedback!
As a part-time cellist age 70 I’m somewhat limited in how far I can get, but every time I watch one of your videos I feel like it takes me to another level. Thank you!!!
Yeeah, thank you Johannes! 😊 That was really helpful, cause now I working on the Prokofiev’s symphony-concertante. Looking forward the next masterclasses🤩
Thanks so much for these videos. It is really helpful. I love your articulation a lot, is so clear and clean. Regard to that, I wonder how you think to make a good articulation but with slightness included because I've been working with articulation stuffs but sometimes It is hard to make It or reflect It as an easy way (slightness or softness without any effort). Once more, ty so much. You're a capo!
Love the quarantine hair style! It's changed a lot from the time you did the MYS virtual hangout. This was a great video to learn from others! Thanks for posting! I'll make sure to reference it while I practice!
I don't really play cello. I came here because I needed a reference of a typical solo cello sound as I was asked to review an orchestral sample library. I was surprised to be tempted to click that subscribe button, not only because you remind me of a Hogwarts Professor, but also because you make the cello a pretty cool instrument. Those fingered chords sounded so full-bodied! Beautiful.
Hi! I would love some tips on Bordone from Britten's 1st Suite. How to organize the bow and how to produce a convincing left hand pizzicato. :) eagerly waiting for your masterclass on Walton! Thanks!

Hi Johannes do you think I could learn cello at the age of 55 and is it problem that I am not tall? Thank you very much.
I would say absolutely! And height is not an issue - so many great cello soloists of the past were not tall. Good luck!!
Johannes Moser thank you very much!!
