It is an excellent firearm. I have the compact version, and it has been a laser for me as well. If you run out of rounds, you could literally beat the bad guys to a pulp with it. I still can't believe what I paid for it new. It's totally worth every penny.
An amazing value for sure!! And seriously - you are like the THIRD person mentioning how you could use the actual pistol as a weapon too!! Love it!! Thank you so much for watching!!
Have you tried a CZ75, then? (Jericho is a clone… The parts look so similar I wouldn’t be surprised if they were interchangeable. If you’re after ergonomics, try CZ 75.)
Semi compact in 45 cal for me. Dead accurate right out of the box. If you havnt done so already, get the new springs from Zahal. Cuts the recoil in half. If you are looking for a holster that actually fits, look up Kramer gun leather. I recommend the MSP Detectives holster.
I have the 941 and I can say that it is my absolute favorite gun! It just works and it's like butter to shoot! Very accurate too. Always puts a smile on my face. Plus it has a pop culture background as it is the weapons used by Spike in Cowboy Bebop.
I'm 46. Been shooting handguns since I was a kid. Owned and shot so many 9mms throughout the years, and just like you, this is the one I shoot with the Best. I'll never sell it. It's a beast though. Only thing I come close to being this accurate with is my Beretta 92fs. But this one tops them all. Thanks for the review.
The first time I put my hands on one I fell in love with it. I had been looking at them online for about a year but couldn't find one in stores. I finally ran across a used one a few months ago. It was in almost new condition. It couldn't have had 50 rounds thru it. I basically paid full price, but it is worth every penny. I wanted the FS model (3.8" barrel) but I settled on this one (4.4" barrel). Now this is my EDC. I may hunt down a 941 in .45 acp for my next purchase.
I saw one of these today in a local shop, used for 425 dollars. I know IWI and their Jericho but always as a polymer model. I picked it up and was immediately taken back by its heft. You don't need to shoot it to hurt somebody with it, lol. That said after really checking it out, I was completely impressed by the overall quality and awesomeness of it. The trigger was as good as anything I've ever felt really. The reset is better than a P01 omega, and the double action is pretty reasonable too. It's def not a new Shadow two blue , but for the money wow... I'm going back to grab it in a day or two
Had one many years ago. Had to sell and just barely found one at my local shop. Picked it up for $400. Almost zero wear. I'm very glad I found another since I hated selling the first one. Very accurate with them. Still to this day my favorite sidearm. Only thing I wish they did was put a little bigger lip at the end of the slide so my wife could run it better but it's perfect for me.
I have a new production 941R (decocker) and I love it. The only thing I really don’t like about it is the grips… but there are aftermarket grips that solve that issue.
@@ZAaron-wq5jd I found this online: 941r vs 941 All Jerichos' are technically Jericho 941's. The "R" is one of the model numbers. R signifies a full-sized, steel frame pistol with the safety/decocker on the slide. F signifies full-sized, steel frame pistol with the safety on the frame.
love the 9411 and i agree how it's very easy to shot accurately. i got the FS or mid-sized version in 9mm. just a joy to shoot though heavy asf to be considered for carry!
Bought mine about a year or so ago but it has the original polygonal rifling. Easier to clean but instructions say do not shoot cast lead bullets through it. With cost of ammunition rising they switched to conventional rifling through it. Despite the case having dust on it, it is the newer version. Apparently leading cakes up the barrel leading to higher pressures.
I'm in total agreement. I have a compact 941 in 9mm, a 941compact in 45acp, and even lesser known Canik 55 Shark FC. It's a 941 in 9mm full size with an aluminum frame and the barrel and slide are ported. I've never seen another one.
These are very nice. Almost an entry-level competition pistol. My wife shoots my 941 better than any of my other 9mm autos because of the weight; very stable-shooting pistol. These newer iterations are nice because lights and night sights can be added, even though the old ones have glorious Spike Spiegel vibes 😂
I have the Baby Eagle IMI it must have been the model before the IWI Jericho I too love this gun super accurate never have any mishaps or jams! what a super gun
I just picked up the FS model (3.8 in barrel) and it is great! I have both a CZ 75B and a 75D PCR and this will make a great trinity of the best shooting 9MM I have. For anyone reading this, the IWI Masada 9S (Slim) is also a great pistol for a great price and it can use the Jericho magazines. Stay safe and have fun everyone!
The P09 is on my list. No idea why I have not picked one up yet. Maybe I’ll buy one soon and do a video- you’ve inspired me!! Thanks so much for watching!!
Great Video! I also agree that out of all my handguns, this is by far the best shooting experience. With nice wood grips its also beautiful to look at, even with the machining marks many have around the trigger guard. Very happy after 2,000+ rounds.
I have an IMI Jericho that was from Israeli military. I love the gun, super accurate. When I go to the range I don’t usually bring it because I won’t shoot any of my newer, fancier polymer pistols. It shoots better than other pistol I’ve tried
I'm on the fence wanting to buy either a Jericho FS9 or a full size CZ-75. I also own a USP9 and love it, but it's a handful. The Jericho and CZ-75 are both a lot heavier, but they fit my hand better. If I'm not mistaken the Jericho doesn't cost quite as much as a CZ, so that might be the deciding factor.
My Baby Eagle is the best shooting gun I've ever shot and I've shot a lot of them. Mine has over 20k rounds through it as I've had it for 20 plus years and the only failure I've had with it was a trigger return spring around 18K round mark. Smooth shooting, great action :) my trigger is a bit light after all these years and rounds tho. Sitting around 2.5 - 3lbs lol. I'll never part with it!
For a while they were marketing it as the "Baby Desert Eagle". Magnum Research AND IMI designed the Desert Eagle and it was produced in Israel on and off since the mid 90's. The 941 is a modernized CZ75 with Tanfoglio parts-- it's pure genius. IDF wanted a real good side-arm but didnt want to go through a long, drawn out from idea to product development.
This is my go to as well. 9mm f. I upgraded the spring rod with a dpm dual spring recoil system and would highly recommend this. Increased my accuracy and my friends love it as well.. Really makes quick firing fun. One of my friends who has somewhere like 75 different firearms was wowed at how accurate he was compared to one of his sigs. It is a heavy gun. My wife does not like it bc of the weight 😂. I have quite large hands so something to consider if you are not in the same boat there.
Love your videos. There's lots of specific models R9, F, FS, some without rail, stainless. Is this an R or R9. I only see 941 on the slide in your video. Can this still be ordered new despite being discontinued?
I had gotten the Magnum research Baby Desert Eagle III which looks like this, but has polymer lower, to me was a crapfest. It shot way low, and the left front rail tab broke off. I will try and get this one because it looks all metal.
I hate to hear that!!! I’ve never seen a Desert Eagle version in person but always kind of wanted one…until now!! Thanks for heads up and thanks so much for watching!!
TOTALLY AGREE. That slide is smoother than guns that cost 3x what the Jericho sells for!! They did such a good job with that firearm!! Thank you so much for watching!!
@the Arkansas gun guy , you forgot one of my favorite features of the Jericho. You just completed a mag dump drop out your old magazine slam your new one in. The gun cycles for you without you having to doing anything else, and you can just continue firing. It also doubles as a dumbbell to do curls.😂🏴☠️
Is that a QR code laser etched on the right side? I bought mine brand new in January 2017, my FS does not have that imprint on the slide. I love this gun. When I shot it at ranges people actually asked me about it. Love it.
I bought one made in 1992 and still have it. Although I suggest buying a recoil spring suited for +p ammo. As IMI suggests NOT putting +P ammo through it.
Finding Spike's Jericho is pretty difficult these days, and you're 100% paying the space cowboy tax. My local gun store had sold their last used Jericho not long after I walked in and only had the new ones left lol.
@SneedSeeding yeah I managed to get one of the last new ones on the internet...now you can only find the polymer frame enhanced version. Ive been happy with mine, I even got a DPM systems for it. You can order a police trade in jericho from Israel 🇮🇱 (i got one of those as well)
I wish I could find one with the frame mounted safety. I keep finding the slide mounted decocker models. Just bought a Jericho 2. Surprisingly smooth shooter for being a very light polymer firearm....very accurate for what it is. Definitely is not as accurate as the CZ I shot this afternoon though.
I need to try one of the polymer frame versions. I finally just picked up a full size cz75 and for me, the IWI shoots way better. But both are awesome! Thanks for watching!!
still one of the toughest guns in the world. Curious to check out the Jericho II with its improved poly frame, but I bet IWI will keep making the steel one for decades to come
I have been thinking about getting one of these, but I'm somewhat worried about availability of spare parts here in Austria, since the gun itself is already somewhat difficult to get. Can you perhaps tell me how many rounds I can put through this pistol before replacing is required, and if there is an interchangeability with the CZ75? Sorry if this may be a dumb question, I'm new to the gun business :)
not dumb questions at all!!! and really appreciate you watching! I will try to research lifespan of the parts, but in general i have read they are fairly indestructible...i often see surplus models from Israel sell online that have most certainly been abused and still run. Also - not sure about interchangeability with CZ75 yet, BUT i just ordered a full size 75 and will absolutely check as many parts as I can.... thank you again for watching - and would HIGHLY recommend this gun!!!
@TheArkansasGunGuy wow thanks for your quick answer mate, appreciate it. I've done a bit of digging in online forums and it seems that the CZ75 is a very sturdy piece of hardware, with replacements done mostly for preventive maintenance only. I'll probably not shoot it that much anyways, since ammo has become freaking expensive and I'm still at university haha
I didn’t even know it was ever offered in .45 - that has to be AMAZING. Looks like it’s been discontinued so maybe a collectors item to keep forever!!! THANKS for watching!
Great video and beautiful gun.. you are so right, nobody talks about this gun.. if it’s not polymer, striker fire, railed and a Glock or Glock copy, no body is interested. Great gun!!!
kool, I have an earlier version (bought in '89) of that where the decocker/safety is on the slide. I just put new sights on it as the tritium dies years ago.
What do you think of the barrel? I own an older version to yours, mine is an ex-service weapon, the barrel is polygonal, it’s exceptional, like a Whitworth, just thought that was in itself worth a mention.
I had a baby eagle yrs ago...miss it now i currently have the Bul armory cherokee and love it!! Great gun for only $299, wish they came in 40cal I'd buy one asap!!
Could u compare/ provide your opinion of where the jericho 941 stacks up comparing it to the beretta 92, a 2011, a browning high power, and glock? Preferably after a range day.
@@TheArkansasGunGuy you're welcome, it was a good video I'll watch again for sure, I'm up in Kansas City Missouri in the River Quay, been packin a wheel gun for years around these parts, model 19 carry comp, folks think it's crazy to carry a revolver these days but it's what I grew up shooting and it works for me.
Anytime I take folks to the range to shoot different models, this is ALWAYS the one everyone likes best!! Such good guns! Thank you for watching and commenting!!
I'm not a good 9mm pistol shooter. In my friend's gun range I saw one of these and I wished to try it, loaded it with 10 rounds, targets were placed 15meters away. I took shots and as the range was hot, didn't go to inspect my target and I thought I shot horribly with it, so I returned it to armory. Later when range was cold, went watching and guess what? 10 out of 10 shots were in the black circle! 😂
Heavy gun - people joke you can throw it at the bad guys if you run out of bullets. Don’t think we would run out of bullets though as the thing is SO accurate. Thanks so much for watching!!
Fun Fact : The Jericho 941 steel version is Tony Almeida’s Gun in 24 season 1 , later he ends up swapping for a Beretta and a Taurus but this is his gun of choice when we first meet him. It has since been discontinued.
I have the metal version and i have only put 50 rounds through it because it will not feed! had it at range with ball ammo and every round would nose up?
@@TheArkansasGunGuy my gun is not Iwi . My gun is Imi = Israel military industries. But it's same factory and same gun , but sights are diifferent and there is no rail on the frame in my gun .
apparently the mag release can be moved to be left-handed. just something to try, though I haven't done it myself I am a left handed shooter and probably will be doing so soon
Jerichos 941 this days are a bit diferent. They had blued barrel with conventional riflinf, instead of poligonal like yours. And they had a 2 pices front-frame, this anguled part. I like it, but your's are prettyer
have never watched (plese don't judge!) but have heard Spike's name MANY times after posting this!!! I'm putting in on my watch list! THANK YOU for watching!
I have the polymer frame and I absolutely love it. I consider it a collectors item and don't really shoot it that often. But when I do, I think "man I forgot how much I love this thing"
Has anyone by any chance heard of any issues with the older 45acp models? Mine is an older model that I bought used. It has desert eagle pistol etched on the side, a slide safety/decocker, and no rail. I keep having around 1 to 2 failures to feed each magazine. Round gets caught on the feed ramp every time (no stovepipes). I've used fmj and two different kinds of hollowpoints. They all had the same issues. I bought three new magazines (not pro-mag), and a new iwi recoil spring (comes with a small and big spring). I've also made sure to keep it clean and lubricated. Still have the same issues. Do I need a stronger recoil spring? Maybe polish the feed ramp? Just wondering if anyone else has had these same issues.
Funny story. Had never seen one in .45 until I read your note today and then stopped in a local gun store and they had one on sale - “sale” is a loose word / they wanted over $1,000 for it. I wish I knew how to solve your issue above. Hopefully one of our viewers can chime in and help. THANKS SO MUCH FOR WATCHING!!!
@@TheArkansasGunGuy That's actually why I bought it used as I never buy used. I knew the 45 was discontinued so I bought it right when I saw it. Wow over $1000 for it?😬 Yeah I hope I can figure out the issue as I don't have any problems with my Jericho in 9. I've looked at some forums, but none of them had the same issues as mine. Some were slightly worse. It seems that not many Jerichos really have issues so I'm sort of figuring it out on my own. Thanks for the reply!
I have the baby desert eagle II .40 in polymer. Its the same story everyone's favorite gun to shoot at the range but nobody knows what it is. I need to get a metal framed jericho or baby eagle and ill sell this 1911.
In the early 2000’s I owned a magnum research baby eagle in .45. I also own a H&K full size USP .40. I had to sell a few guns because I needed money. It was a hard choice to make when I got to the H&K and baby eagle(Jericho 941), I sold the baby eagle. I told my wife When we have the money I was going replace the baby eagle.fast forward to now, I finally replaced the Jericho last week with a IWI Jericho 2. LOVE the new poly frame Jericho.
I’m not sure - I don’t have a holster for this IWI - and I don’t have a full size CZ75 - yet….YET. Want to get one so I can compare them!!! Thanks so much for watching! Sorry I didn’t know answer to your question

You can order a police trade in jericho from Israel 🇮🇱 (i got one of those as well)
Just got mine, Israeli police surplus, an original IMI model SA only nickel plated, absolutely gorgeous gun, can't wait to get it out to the range.
I have similar, mine is Israeli police, black, but double/single action. It’s well used.
@@TheArkansasGunGuy I have a CZ75B omega suppressor ready. It shoots very nicely. Not as nicely as my Czechmate...but still very nice.
still one of the toughest guns in the world. Curious to check out the Jericho II with its improved poly frame, but I bet IWI will keep making the steel one for decades to come
Jericho II is not an improvement, trust me. It's not worth buying especially over the steel 941. Don't waste your money.
I have the 45 cal and it is my favorite out of all my pistols.
I didn’t even know it was ever offered in .45 - that has to be AMAZING. Looks like it’s been discontinued so maybe a collectors item to keep forever!!! THANKS for watching!
I went on their website, the 45 cal version is discontinued.
@@MrBigarmand I purchased mine in 2017 at a gun show. If you can find a used one, GRAB IT. You won't be disappointed.
Totally agree 👍 a masterpiece 👏
I got 1 myself.. I'll back u up. It's a nice piece m one o my faves🎉
Thank you! !!!
There are Jerichos in .40S&W tho
I have the double action version with a decocker.
I have the Canadian version! Absolutely love it!
Thank you for watching!!!
Does it shoot maple syrup
@williammccaffery7251 - No unfortunately but shoots straighter than my local police!
Amazing video
Amazing gun
Great review 👏 👌 👍 thanks a lot.
Thank YOU for watching!!!
Could u compare/ provide your opinion of where the jericho 941 stacks up comparing it to the beretta 92, a 2011, a browning high power, and glock? Preferably after a range day.
Great video! Love my IMI.
I've wanted a 941 compact for sometime now.
I love this full size. Would also love to add a compact to my collection! THANKS SO MUCH for watching!
Jericho is solid steel made gun. Thats why its accurate, reliable and durable than HK and Sigs. Also its influenced by cz75.
Anytime I take folks to the range to shoot different models, this is ALWAYS the one everyone likes best!! Such good guns! Thank you for watching and commenting!!
@@TheArkansasGunGuy welcome dear.....👍
I'm not a good 9mm pistol shooter.
In my friend's gun range I saw one of these and I wished to try it, loaded it with 10 rounds, targets were placed 15meters away.
I took shots and as the range was hot, didn't go to inspect my target and I thought I shot horribly with it, so I returned it to armory.
Later when range was cold, went watching and guess what? 10 out of 10 shots were in the black circle! 😂
Can't wait to get one
I have the Jericho 941 rs (decocker) 9mm I love it it's my edc
Heavy gun - people joke you can throw it at the bad guys if you run out of bullets. Don’t think we would run out of bullets though as the thing is SO accurate. Thanks so much for watching!!
Beautiful Gun👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Fun Fact :
The Jericho 941 steel version is
Tony Almeida’s Gun in 24 season 1 , later he ends up swapping for a Beretta and a Taurus but this is his gun of choice when we first meet him.
It has since been discontinued.
I have the metal version and i have only put 50 rounds through it because it will not feed! had it at range with ball ammo and every round would nose up?
I bought my Jericho 941F at 1996 and it still shoot well. 😅
Wow!!!! 1996!! That has to be one of the first ones!! So glad to hear its still serving you so well!! Thank you for sharing - and for watching!
@@TheArkansasGunGuy my gun is not Iwi . My gun is Imi = Israel military industries. But it's same factory and same gun , but sights are diifferent and there is no rail on the frame in my gun .
I have the Magnum version the Baby Eagle....this is best pistol I ever shot.
I'm also a lefty and you can make the jericho ambi at least for the safety
I didn’t know that! Did you do yourself or have gunsmith do it? THANKS for the info - and for watching!!
apparently the mag release can be moved to be left-handed. just something to try, though I haven't done it myself I am a left handed shooter and probably will be doing so soon
Jerichos 941 this days are a bit diferent. They had blued barrel with conventional riflinf, instead of poligonal like yours. And they had a 2 pices front-frame, this anguled part. I like it, but your's are prettyer
Very cool to know. THANK YOU for watching!!
I have the baby eagle great gun pretty much same thing
Tengo Glock, Sig, Rem, Bersa, Smith.etc.etc.etc.
Pero tengo la misma del video, y es la que mas me gusta.
A gun no one talks about? Spike Spiegel would like to have a word with you.
have never watched (plese don't judge!) but have heard Spike's name MANY times after posting this!!! I'm putting in on my watch list! THANK YOU for watching!
such a shooter, these steel CZ clones..
Crazy smooth!! Thanks for watching!
Nice weapon
I have the polymer frame and I absolutely love it. I consider it a collectors item and don't really shoot it that often. But when I do, I think "man I forgot how much I love this thing"
I’ve never seen a polymer version - probably is collectible!! THANK YOU for watching!!
THE ONLY DROW BACK WITH THE IWI JERICHO IS THAT ITS HEAVY. BUT, OTHER THAT IS A GREAT GUN
I want one so bad😍
the sig is alloy framed.. unless that's one of the few steel elite models.. which it is not.
You are correct. I got excited and misspoke!! Thank you for watching!!!!
Bebop fans love this gun.
I keep hearing that!!! Need to check that series out!! Thank you for watching!!
Love mine, can hit anything with it, love it
I have the baby desert eagle II .40 in polymer. Its the same story everyone's favorite gun to shoot at the range but nobody knows what it is. I need to get a metal framed jericho or baby eagle and ill sell this 1911.
im proud of my nation
subd !!!
only the best for spike.
The finish is so smooth its like a well used bar of soap..
I have a IMI 941f…….just mega !
Most likely this is a revolver, right?
In the early 2000’s I owned a magnum research baby eagle in .45. I also own a H&K full size USP .40. I had to sell a few guns because I needed money. It was a hard choice to make when I got to the H&K and baby eagle(Jericho 941), I sold the baby eagle. I told my wife When we have the money I was going replace the baby eagle.fast forward to now, I finally replaced the Jericho last week with a IWI Jericho 2. LOVE the new poly frame Jericho.
Great guns!! Thank you so much for watching !!
I want one bad but can’t track down a steel full size one to save my life
Any luck???
@ nope
@@ZensivYT there are some on gunbroker currently.
Will it fit in CZ75 holsters
I’m not sure - I don’t have a holster for this IWI - and I don’t have a full size CZ75 - yet….YET. Want to get one so I can compare them!!! Thanks so much for watching! Sorry I didn’t know answer to your question
@@TheArkansasGunGuy no worries thank you for responding. I am looking at getting my 1st DA/SA and split between Jericho or CZ P07 or P09
@@mma709 have read good stuff about those P7/9's but I'll tell ya - everyone that has shot the Jericho has loved it. Recently held a full size CZ75 and it was pretty darn cool too.... (I'm not helping am i?)
