IWI Jerichos offer tremendous value. I love the all-steel 941FS, smooth smooth smooth, and full length rails. This new model actually looks like a good design. The barrels have polygonal rofling and chromed chrome molly vanadium steel, similar to milspec AR15 barrels. High value for the price!
Now if they'll make this with steel or aluminum frame. The 941 and Tristar T-120's are heavy but muzzle flip is so slight. And way more durable. If its good enough for the IDF and police force, its good enough for me.
@@92vanguard You're in luck if you want an all-steel version with full length rails. The 941 F9 4.4" and 941 FS9 3.8". I have experience with the steel frame models and I love shooting and carrying the 3.8" version. They're heavy, about 35 oz, require standard sturdy belt and holster. High rides help reduce the bulk and also conceal (like carrying a backpack higher up in your shoulders) They're slick...slicker and better built than stock CZs (not custom shop). Any criticism about heavy trigger, overblown. It might sound like it doesn't make sense, but the trigger pull feels much lighter when extended out to shoot because the pistol is heavy...think its because it takes a little more muscle to hold it. Almost no recoil, smooth cycle, not snappy. These pistols are a quiet giant in a crowded market of media hype. They're awesome and price puts them in reach for a lot of folks who want $800 performance ftom a $500 pistol. My CZ-75B feels like a it has a two stage recoil spring. Once it goes back an inch the slide comes in contact with the hammer and has to push it slightly downward which is that "2nd stage" I feel.
Some time ago I wanted an IWI Jericho, but no decocker in it was essential to left it go. So I got a CZ P07, now I really want a GP P1. Gracias GB, good videos.
Nice review, made me much more comfortable to go ahead and order one. Mine came in yesterday, and right off I noticed that they modified the magazines from yours to have the show windows drilled in the back (glock style), 17 of them. Otherwise, same as shown here and your shooting review video as well. Thank you.
Its perfectly okay to look down the barrel of a gun if double checked. I get its about safety but if your not dumb then it's fine. The same with checking the bore of a milsurp or any rifle, you look down the muzzle.
I *think* the 4.4" slides have a single-spring recoil spring and the 3.8" versions have a double recoil spring. The reason is the shorter slide is more demanding on the recoil spring. Remember also, the recoil spring on hammer actuated pistols, typically is lighter than on striker guns, making pistols with hammers somewhat easier to work the slide. The reason is striker fired pistols don't have a hammer spring to share the task of managing recoil and timing.
I'm getting my polymer frame in 9 days. Handled it for a bit at my FFL, just waiting for the ever popular "mandatory waiting days". It's a beautiful handgun and I cannot wait to shoot it.

Good Review! Something I'd like to see you mention with CZ Clones, and particularly the Tanfoglio clones like the IWI and Sarsilmaz, is the half-cock intercept. And they are different. Most CZ 75 based DAs have a half-cock but the safety can not be engaged. When the safety is engaged the slide can not be moved. Tanfoglio based pistols are different in that with the manual safety engaged, and the hammer fully rearward, the slide can still be retracted. In other words with the slide locked back and the safety engaged the user can insert a loaded magazine, chamber a round while the manual safety is engaged. IMO, the FT based pistols are safe to carry with the hammer at half-cock which reduced the travel of the first DA shot. You can also engage the safety with the hammer at half-cock isf you have concerns about that mode. And lastly, specific to IWI, they use polygonal rifling in the cold-hammer-forged barrels which originated with HK. YMMV on that if you handload cast or poly-coated bullets. Another feature in which FT improved over the CZ design is the firing pin stop/safety. With FTs and clones, it is disengaged by lowering rather than needing to be lifted for the firing pin to move completely forward for ignition. In other words, since the FPS needs to move down to allow the firing pin to pass, this does not put any additional weight on the trigger pull. CZ and others that have to lift the FPS add additional weight to the trigger pull.

I had no idea IWI released a new Jericho until this video. Thanks for posting! I have my father's old IMI Jericho 941 with the safety on the slide leaving only 2 small slide serrations to grab on to when racking the slide. That made it hard to rack the slide and potentially engaging the safety if you ever need to rack the slide. The newer models gave you more slide serrations if you have the safety on the slide and the newest model have the safety on the frame. The new Jerichos look amazing. The new grip texture is enough of an upgrade for me if I was in the market for a new Jericho.

Graham Baates thank you for your fast reply, size doesn't matter, but iwi has two pistols so yeah alot of questions came in my mind like which has less recoil between jericho 941 and masada

So I’m unfamiliar with how a Jericho’s action works... is it not a decocker & safety like on a FN FNX or HK USP? If not, I’m assuming that if you wanna fire it in double action, you have to manually drop the hammer while guiding it down with your thumb?
Correct
@@GBGuns thanks for responding! Seems like a waste to have the added engineering for DA when it would almost never be used, except for a restrike on a light primer...
Do they come polymer only?
Looks nice and comfy
Solid video. For me, I would like to see a decocker version and a plate option. In today's market, those are two must haves, at least for me, especially in that size gun.
My personally prepared and premeditated weapon of choice.
Wonderful review. I pick mine up next monday. Keep it up man.
Did you get it? How do you like it? Could you carry it concealed? Where to get extra mags?
@@arthurwood7525 yes i did get it and heck yes i do like it. Very impressed with fit and finish, guns more accurate than I am. My wife liked it very much (she tried to claim as her own). We liked it so much I just bought a other one (for her! Lol). Cant go wrong. One can carry concealed, i got extra mags locally (CZ 75 mags fit perfect) but my buddy got some on Gun Broker
@@Mycolddeadhand I just ordered the IWI Masada but also saw this and I like that it’s double single but was concerned about mags and aftermarket support. Especially during a Biden presidency! What about night sights?
@@Mycolddeadhand another few questions, will aftermarket cz75 high capacity mags fit do you know? What about replacing the sights? Thank you!
@@arthurwood7525 the CZ 75 mags work fine, buddy gave me a hi-cap (like 30 or some odd number to use - dont know the aftermarket brand.. looked cheap) and it worked. As far as sights go, iwi has a bunch and this web page has a $hit ton of aftermarket

Anyone know if iron sights for earlier jerichos will work on this one?
When you say waiting, you mean for delivery?
No, waiting for NICS approval. During COVID gun sales have been at record highs, as a result the "Instant" background check has had lines in the hundreds which has meant waiting days for approval.
I still prefer the older look to me its very sleek but I like this one too. Tough choices
would that slide fit on an all steel jericho?
My only gripe is why IWI didn't keep the iconic square trigger gaurd? It's still a cool looking pistol. BTW the slide stop looks like a 1st grader designed it!
Please do a video comparing the jericho and masada, I can't find it anywhere in the internet
Because they are two very different guns. Not much to compare. If it's size just look at the specs
Graham Baates thank you for your fast reply, size doesn't matter, but iwi has two pistols so yeah alot of questions came in my mind like which has less recoil between jericho 941 and masada
That's a tough one to determine as ammo can play a big role in perceived recoil. I don't think the difference is big enough, more a difference of if you prefer hammer or striker-fired.
Graham Baates got it! Thank you, im new to the weapon industry and im considering buying one from iwi, subscribed!
Welcome. Most of my videos are part of articles, or filmed while I was reviewing for articles. I write for Ballistic, Tactical Life, Personal Defense World, and Combat Handguns in addition to AmmoLand.com and GunUniversity.com. check the video description for links when applicable for a more complete review.
Excellent video !! Did you notice this pistol is a clone of the CZ-P07 ? What would it be the difference ?
Yes it is. I wouldn't know differences though, I'm not a CZ guy
Is this new Jericho will compatible with metal frame Jericho 941 holster?
No.
I've held and put a mag or two through the original. I just can't find the original in my area. Hopefully, I can soon. I know there is some clones that are very very nice but this is one of those guns I want to be the real deal, even though this itself is essentially a cz clone. Sweet looking gun!
and since teh CZ was never copyrighted....
Great video.
dam i wish it had de cocker
I know what you mean. I like to carry mine chambered but I don't like having the hammer back because I have accidentally disengaged the safety when holstering before.
Nice review thanks.
Interesting that they 3 slotted the guide rod section of the slide a nice extra step to lose a little weight
I noticed as you were reviewing the Jericho that the serial number looked like it was "inside" similar to some of the firearms that have the interchangeable frames. Is this Jericho like that or was that just a styling choice as far as you know? I'm sorry if you did mention that and I missed it.
It's on a plate inlaid into the frame, the gun does not appear to have a modular design.
@@GBGuns thanks for the update
Beautiful firearm.Thanks for the video.
Thank you.
can I use standard CZ-75 mags on the Jericho 941 polymer?
Yes
Looks like a nice gun. Too bad they didn't include a decocker.
