Carried one of these for 5 years as policeman in israel, heavy yet accurate. The lanyard is actually another safety mechnism, if you pull it out the gun wont shoot, thats why its always connected to the policman belt with a lanyard.
Never knew that. I've been to Israel several times for studies and the maccabi games and I always just thought it was for regular retention. That's so smart.
This is my EDC gun that I've been carrying daily for over a year now. Its an awesome gun. If you live in a cold area or get cold weather, make sure to use a thin lubricant around the hammer specifically, because I found in the winter that my Frog Lube would thicken and cause some light primer strikes. Switching to thin lubricants that don't thicken in the cold fixed the problem in wintry weather. For my rig, I currently carry it in a Savoy Leather holster with the inside and outside the waistband design so I can carry in different ways. I use a Daltech Force Bullhide belt with a steel core to support the weight of the full steel gun. I seriously love this gun, it is awesome, and everyone who has ever tried it out to shoot it as well has been amazed at how good of a shooter it is. It feels amazing in the hands and is solid and reliable, an absolute tank of a pistol. I met a gun store owner who also carried one every day, and his was the polymer one, which is significantly lighter and which he really loved too. Another fun thing to know about this gun is because it can take CZ 75 magazines and run the flawlessly, you can buy the magazines that are the same size but hold 17 rounds, giving you 18 total rounds with one in the chamber. The Jericho magazines hold 16 rounds, so its an upgrade of 1 more bullet, plus CZ magazines are way easier to find and buy. I shoot all my guns like crazy, but this gun more than any of my others because it is my daily carry, and it has yet to show any kind of wear aside from slight paint lightening from the holster and the regular shooting. All the parts are still very solid. Highly recommend this gun.
I bought the full size steel frame 9mm with the frame mounted safety a while back. The gun was brand new and within the first two weeks I had put over 900 round through it. Not a single malfunction as of yet. And I've run plenty of steel and some aluminum ammo as well since then. Eats everything I feed it including some 380 ball believe it or not. Only ran four rounds of 380 ball but it did cycle them on it's own, although with noticeably less recoil. My magazines on the other hand are factory and are advertised as 16 round mags, But I noticed they have no problem holding and feeding 17 rounds. Not sure if that's a new thing, as my mags are factory IWI mags, but it was something I noticed.
I have compact polymer .40 that the trigger pivot pin starts walking out on its own after about 15 rounds was thinking about switching the solid pin out for a roll pin like the one in my steel frame compact that has no issues havent realy found much info on this love them both flaws and all
The Star of David on the slide is actually the Israeli police logo. It has the letter מ in the middle which stands for Mishtara which means police in Hebrew.
I paid for a "hand select" SKS from them a few years ago, it showed up packed with sand and ridiculously rusty. I called and complained. I spoke to the guy who pulled my rifle and he admitted that he didn't even take it out of the plastic to inspect it before he shipped it. So there's your "Classic Firearms Hand Select" I had to pay to ship it back to them, too.
I ordered a "hand select" SKS in the spring from Classic. I got one with most of the blueing gone, coated in surface rust, and a cracked stock. No bargin at the $450 price + shipping. That place is a total rip-off half the time
What, never had a jam is one of these. I have 2, that are Israeli surplus, one single action one double action. One blue one chrome. Only thing is sometimes with CZ mags they will not hold open on last round
The Israelis were assisted by Tanfoglio, Italy, in the development and early production of these pistols. Many Parts for Tanfoglio pistols will interchange.
I bought one of the brushed nickel ones from centerfire arms when this import wave first started in mid 2018. Yours looks like a display model compared to mine. Despite the finish wear and grips being worn almost flat, it still shoots superbly. New Mec-Gar CZ-75B mags work perfectly as intended, and it chugs through whatever ammo you feed it. Anyone looking for a good, reliable 9mm plinker without breaking the bank should consider one of these. Also, it's a much cheaper alternative than the R model for you space cowboys.
Knightcowboy89 Back in 1991, we compared a 1985 CZ 75, a Tanfoglio and a Jericho. The Jericho and Tanfoglio had jammed a couple of times, the CZ with no hiccups.
@@MavHunter20XX huh, both my PCRs are tack drivers, but I've seen others get Czs with barrel bushings that weren't smooth or pushed barrel one way or the other. 10x bushing from CajunGunWorks fixed it right quick.
Many years ago, I had a Jericho chambered in .41 AE. It was a very unique caliber, but the .40 S&W took the world by storm and eventually caused that caliber to die.
I have surplus 941 in SA/DA. One of the best, if not the best, shooting handgun I have ever shot. Got it when Buds had them for $250 or so. Best $$ spent.
I was thinking about getting one of these until I read the CF reviews. Sounds like more than a few people were getting trashed and pitted pistols that should be classified as being in poor condition. Hard pass.
Yeah. I got one last weekend that I requested/paid best 1 out of 10 and it looked really bad. I am working with Classic Firearms to see if they can send me one that is what I pay for and what they advertise. Let you know how it goes.
I got one of the non-starred ones immediately when they opened the sale, and it came in pretty good condition. Cleaned up nicely and shot well. I've gotten terrible "hand selects" from them though.
I love the 941,it was my first pistol. I’ve never had a SAO if I ever see one in the wild I’ll definitely pick it up.these gun shoot so sweet and with a little gun smith work they can be magic.i also like the new IWI Masada slim shares the mags with the 941 and 75’s.
Love the Jericho 941. I got one because I really liked Cowboy Bebop back in the day. Mine is one of the "Baby Desert Eagle" imports, full steel, with a rail in the fore and a decocker on the slide. No other pistol I own fits as perfectly in my hand. Not a 19, a 1911, M29, or a 30S. Great little gun. Also, fun fact, CZ-75B Mec-Gar mags fit.
Same here. I have one in .40 caliber. Love that gun. 2000 rounds with not a single malfunction. I didn't think that was possible. I want to get another in 9mm.
@@Rooftop-Ali-BR Possibly try putting a small amount of candle wax on it. A small amount of loctite might work also. Check for heavy wear on the bar and the insertion holes. Was yours the Jericho or the Baby Eagle? Might want to do some research to see if anyone else is having the problem.
I got lucky and found a nickel plated 941F At my LGS last week and immediately scooped it up. I know for a fact that it would have been bought local as CF is about 20 minutes from my house. So it’s pretty cool that it has stayed in the area since
I bought 2 of the 941f models. Paid for the better pick. Sadly 1 was pretty trashed and showed heavy use, the other one looked to be poorly cleaned but at least it cleaned up very nice with a little cleaner and TLC came out nice. Gave the nicer one to my dad, he said it shoots sweet. Now to get some more mags. Lots of options since the mags from my Cz sp-01 fit
I love my TriStar t120 that looks very similar to the Jericho. It loves 115gr ammo, so I feed it federal and Winchester white box with 1 failure to eject after 11 to 1200 rounds.
I've got a 941 Da/sa when it was marketed in the US as a "baby eagle" for whatever dumbass reason. Anyways i bought on my 21st birthday as my first purchase as a 21 year old, not a beer a "baby eagle"....that damned thing has never once failed on me. It's gone a full range day and ate 1000 rounds in a sitting etc. To date that thing has ate everything I've thrown at it with no failures of any kind. I ran a pistol course with it and it just kept going. My only gripe with it now is the slide mounted safety...blah. but damn I love the thing something fierce!
I thought Jerichos were more similar to Tanfoglios, the safety can be engaged whether the hammer is back or not (unlike CZs but like a Tanfoglio) and the safety can also be up while you rack the slide (like a Tanfoglio, unlike a CZ) but in this video the safety DID block the slide.
You finally made another jericho 941 video! Ive been waiting years to see another jericho video ever since you did your first shots video when the jericho 941 IWI version first became available in the US.
Tim, next time you buy something from Classic will you please use a different credit card? Use your wife's card or something they won't recognize. I'm really curious if you'll receive such nice guns if your name is not recognized. They did this with the Cheetah too. Thanks! :)
My hand select was a joke. Called and asked for replacement to be shipped or remove the xtra charge. Had very hard plastic like material fused to slide on both sides and front and rear sights were dented and unusable. Magazine was rusted thru in two spots. Be careful with this surplus shipment folks. Mine is going back.**update. CS refunded $45 and after a LOT of cleaning the pistol is in good shape. Sights are still a week but should be fixable with aftermarket parts. Overall mechanical condition is good. The trigger is excellent. So I kept it but Leary of another hand select payout.
I have that exact same IWI US Jericho. Full sized and all steel, it’s heavy but shoots great. I’ve never had a malfunction with it as of yet. It also doesn’t rust either which is nice for a steel carry gun.
i don't know what is the pink line on the magazine, but it definitely not a police mag we had a 1" glowing sticker on the mag, but now nothing on the mags.
Its not SA only you can thumb the hammer down. I have the F and the R . I like the R alot more its SA /DA with a slide mounted decocker. Put a 15 lb wolf hammer spring in to replace the stock 20lb. Brings the DA trigger pull to be less of a chore to pull SA trigger pull down to feel like a nice 1911
I had one marked baby eagle back in the late 90's. Believe it was my first auto pistol bought. Loved the feel and look of it...but it was a jamomatic! Traded it in on a Glock 17 and never looked back. Thanks for everything you do Tim! ✌
Still have my very first handgun, similar to the one featured in this video except it's Double Action / Single Action....a IMI / Magnum Research / "Baby" Desert Eagle 9mm with full frame and short slide. Have no less than 200,000 rnds thru it without a single malfunction and still shoots just as smooth and accurate as day one. Not sure if Tim mentioned in video or not, but they have polygonal rifling which makes it a breeze to clean.
I have the .40 cal version. Such a damn beast of a gun. I have 2000 rounds through mine with no malfunctions. Israel does know how to make great firearms.
Hey there MAC, got a quick question that I can't seem to find much of an answer for, I bought I Jericho 941F at a gun show recently and something unusual came to my attention. When the Slide is locked to the rear and a fresh magazine is locked in, as in, smacked in with a little force like anyone would in a stressful situation, the slide automatically drops on the loaded mag. It's not an issue for me, as I Find it to be a handy feature, but I Can't tell if it is designed that way or if there is a fault with my particular pistol. Appreciate any information you can offer.
That Star of David on the side of the pistol is actually the Israeli National Police logo. Inside it, you can see the letter “מ”, which is the first letter of the Hebrew word for Police: משטרה.
The bloke in the demo reel seems to be an Israeli policeman, and not an IDF soldier, by the uniform and the field cap. Probably a Yamam or Yasam operative, but I'm not sure about that detail.
I wish I had a huge surplus of money for all these pistols. Would love to find the perfect pistol for my hand. The grip on this one looks amazingly slim and short.
How do I verify if my Jericho 941f is retired police issue or not? I went to the gun store and the salesman told me the star wasn’t a Star of David and the serial number next to it was just an import mark.
The pink marking on the magazine doesn't intended to prevent theft During a terror event, everyone shoots and for the sake of knowing who the good guys are, we mark the guns with a glowing stickers
It may be just my impression, but my all-steel Jericho .45ACP feels much heavier than any of my 1911s. I also have two pistols from BUL, the other Israeli company. Their 1911 is my very favorite and I also have the Cherokee for a home defense pistol. Thanks for this really instructive video, especially the average female IDF officer.
I remember first seeing this pistol it when i was little playing the syphon filter logan's shadow game back in my psp it had stainless steel and black grips and i think it was the 45 acp version in the game
I just picked up from PSA a 941R Jericho, with the slide mounted safety Decocker, should be getting it in the next couple days got to play with one locally and it has a really nice trigger in it
I want one so bad,but then again I want a CZ PCR also..lol Only thing I have close is the Tristar T120 with Cajun Gun Works upgrades..I love it,makes a great&reliable concealed carry pistol.Great video!!
These are incredibly sexy looking handguns. The polymer framed one seems ideal for conceal carry. Being a huge Cowboy bebop fan, that’s where I first ever noticed the handgun from. The main character Spike Speigel carries it. I noticed how cool it looked and I couldn’t figure it out until someone later pointed it out to me. I’d be incredibly interested to see Airsoft gas blowback versions of these being made, both the modern and classic versions not only to have a training model to get me used to the controls and feel overall, but to also have a cool unique pistol when slinging bbs at the Airsoft field.
The surplus Jericho 941F I got must be older because it doesn’t have a captive recoil spring and the safety is different. Mine was obviously carried and practiced with but it’s in good shape with an excellently broken in trigger and it’s still very accurate.
@@afrosheenix I have never watched it, and I already have tons of .45 Long Colts here. My love is because they're called Baby Eagles and baby eagles are cute as f**k, especially in 9mm.
Picked up one of the IMI 941Fs with the Star marking for my wife. Shot it last night, fantastic firearm! Any idea where can maybe trace the serial numbers to get manufacturing date?
Tim or anyone else do you know what those black clamp on shields are for you see on some of the Jericho trigger guards? I haven't seen a good explanation for them, seems like they are usually on the SAO models if they have one. Thanks!

@@hardlylivin6602 do not put 380 through a 9mm

I have compact polymer .40 that the trigger pivot pin starts walking out on its own after about 15 rounds was thinking about switching the solid pin out for a roll pin like the one in my steel frame compact that has no issues havent realy found much info on this love them both flaws and all
The Star of David on the slide is actually the Israeli police logo. It has the letter מ in the middle which stands for Mishtara which means police in Hebrew.
Glad you mentioned this because the slide wasn't bearing the Star of David. That was just a 6 point badge the police use.
What if you have a surplus Jericho that doesn’t have that mark?

Must be nice to be someone that actually gets a “hand select”. Classic Firearms hand select are notoriously awful.
I paid for a "hand select" SKS from them a few years ago, it showed up packed with sand and ridiculously rusty. I called and complained. I spoke to the guy who pulled my rifle and he admitted that he didn't even take it out of the plastic to inspect it before he shipped it.
So there's your "Classic Firearms Hand Select"
I had to pay to ship it back to them, too.
I bought a hand select good nickel finish.... they said minor scratches, it has deep pits
And over priced....
I ordered a "hand select" SKS in the spring from Classic. I got one with most of the blueing gone, coated in surface rust, and a cracked stock. No bargin at the $450 price + shipping. That place is a total rip-off half the time
I've never received a quality firearm in a transaction with Classic.
Pay what you will, it's a crapshoot I'm told.

It's "See You Space Cowboy...", but yes. Absolutely, yes.

Cowboy Bebop, a true unfinished masterpiece.
Geronimo553 It was definitely finished.
941, one of the sweetest 9mm I have used.
Ok 3, 2, 1, let's jam
*jazz music starts*
Duh duh duh du duuuuuu
What, never had a jam is one of these. I have 2, that are Israeli surplus, one single action one double action. One blue one chrome. Only thing is sometimes with CZ mags they will not hold open on last round
@@gcanada3005 He wasn’t saying it’s going to jam. He’s making a reference to a show this gun was featured in.

The Israelis were assisted by Tanfoglio, Italy, in the development and early production of these pistols. Many
Parts for Tanfoglio pistols will interchange.
Jp, didn't saw your comment and all ready replay the same.
It has to be the small frame. I bought a newer magazine and it won't fit.
The Jericho is one of those kinds of guns that really really don't "need" rails at all and look much better without them.

Any pistol based off the CZ platform is an amazing and reliable tool.
Knightcowboy89 Back in 1991, we compared a 1985 CZ 75, a Tanfoglio and a Jericho. The Jericho and Tanfoglio had jammed a couple of times, the CZ with no hiccups.
Actually its a Clon from a Clone 941 was produced with help from Tanfoglio (Italian CZ) it have original Tanfoglio barrel and some other parts

@@MavHunter20XX huh, both my PCRs are tack drivers, but I've seen others get Czs with barrel bushings that weren't smooth or pushed barrel one way or the other. 10x bushing from CajunGunWorks fixed it right quick.
You didn't mention the 941 stand for 9mm & 41ae caliber
Many years ago, I had a Jericho chambered in .41 AE. It was a very unique caliber, but the .40 S&W took the world by storm and eventually caused that caliber to die.
That IDF soldier took a hit from that Tavor.
I have surplus 941 in SA/DA. One of the best, if not the best, shooting handgun I have ever shot. Got it when Buds had them for $250 or so. Best $$ spent.
My grandpa carry this arm for years, it was an amazing gun that literally never fails to amaze you.
I was thinking about getting one of these until I read the CF reviews. Sounds like more than a few people were getting trashed and pitted pistols that should be classified as being in poor condition. Hard pass.
juncho1977 typical from classic firearms
Yeah. I got one last weekend that I requested/paid best 1 out of 10 and it looked really bad. I am working with Classic Firearms to see if they can send me one that is what I pay for and what they advertise. Let you know how it goes.
Mine was in quite good condition but I also splurged for the "very good" (+$25). "Good" from CF is a massive crapshoot.
That's normal from Classic. I will never buy from them again.
I got one of the non-starred ones immediately when they opened the sale, and it came in pretty good condition. Cleaned up nicely and shot well. I've gotten terrible "hand selects" from them though.
I had a 941 in the early 2000s. Mine was marked “IMI desert eagle pistol” 9mm. Had a slide safety sa/da.
I regret selling it.
prob because it was known as the "baby eagle" even though the Desert eagle and the Jericho 941 had nothing to do with each other lol
Me 2!
Me three.
Same here.
I picked up one of these a few months back from Gander. Shoots real nice and a lot of people didn’t know they came SAO.
This guy know what he talking about
One of my favorite videos from MAC.
Nice! Same but in reverse. My buddy got me to watch Cowboy Bebop because my favorite pistol at the time was my Jericho pistol. Glad he did.
@@thetradesman7478 i also have one in .40 cal. Love the gun but the trigger bar keeps walking out on me. Know any tips?
@@Rooftop-Ali-BR Possibly try putting a small amount of candle wax on it. A small amount of loctite might work also. Check for heavy wear on the bar and the insertion holes.
Was yours the Jericho or the Baby Eagle? Might want to do some research to see if anyone else is having the problem.
@@thetradesman7478 its a baby eagle version. Thanks for the advice.
I got lucky and found a nickel plated 941F At my LGS last week and immediately scooped it up. I know for a fact that it would have been bought local as CF is about 20 minutes from my house. So it’s pretty cool that it has stayed in the area since
Ordered the Cowboy Bebop grips for mine. Just need to change the mainspring plug pin.
Surprised the big gun channels haven’t done any vids on the Jericho Enhanced. Such an interesting gun to me.
Great, informative and interesting video!
Thank you and thanks for watching.
That would be a nice addition to the collection.
I consider the CZ75 to be the offspring of a BHP and sig 210.
The 941 is a great firearm as well, I especially like the full length dust cover.
This channel has it all
We need to see it on the Gauntlet test.
I absolutely love my IMI Desert Eagle 9mm, SA/DA safety decocker
They must also train to take nut shots when they transition from rifle to pistol.
Made me wince.
😂 that's what I was thinking too!
941 was produced with help from Tanfoglio (Italian CZ) it have original Tanfoglio barrel and some other parts.
I bought a 941 FS .45 because of the similar ergonomics of my CZ pistols and it came with a rail. No regrets.
Congrats on the Gundie award.
bro, they gifted it to you. that's some camaraderie right there!
Tim the photo you showed at the end of the video is an Israeli IDF female trooper, not a police officer. :)
Finally some Jericho love in the world
"F" stands for "Full Size".
I love my TriStar t120 that looks very similar to the Jericho. It loves 115gr ammo, so I feed it federal and Winchester white box with 1 failure to eject after 11 to 1200 rounds.
I have the same one and after 2000 rounds not one hiccup.
I enjoy your videos. You're really good at this. You'd make a good teacher.
In Israel we now mainly use the polymer Jericho and some units use a Glock 19
Jericho 941R gang where y’all at?
I thought Jerichos were more similar to Tanfoglios, the safety can be engaged whether the hammer is back or not (unlike CZs but like a Tanfoglio) and the safety can also be up while you rack the slide (like a Tanfoglio, unlike a CZ) but in this video the safety DID block the slide.
The 75 also took inspiration from the Sig P210 (inverted slide rails)…
You finally made another jericho 941 video! Ive been waiting years to see another jericho video ever since you did your first shots video when the jericho 941 IWI version first became available in the US.
Tim, next time you buy something from Classic will you please use a different credit card? Use your wife's card or something they won't recognize. I'm really curious if you'll receive such nice guns if your name is not recognized. They did this with the Cheetah too. Thanks! :)
when you opened up by talking about the cz 75 pistol i thought for a moment that the title of video is wrong. but soon the truth was revealed.
I was starting to think we were baited. lol
Best RUclips channel !
Thank you!
Mine rusted a little bit on the inside of the mag well easy clean tho
My IWI Jericho 941 PL9 is the finest handgun I own and is by far the most reliable handgun I've had the pleasure of shooting!
I carry a Jericho 941FS Compensated as a service gun. Steel frame, single action, compensator. I do like it to be honest.
That sounds pretty badass.
@@katmarriot4269 It runs smoothly, also the recoil is quite low. Accuracy is fine too. I had a polymer 941FL before that and it run like a mule...
It's actually not the Star of David you see engraved on the slide its the logo for the Israel Police Service we have in Israel.
Great review !!!!
Thanks for sharing 👌😎👍✔
About that Israeli carry method, how do you re-holster? Drop mag, rack slide, de-cock, re-insert mag?
Wasn't that gun originally introduced with 2 barrels 1 in 9mm and 1 in .41AE?
Yes.
Assuming it's the same, the incredibly curved trigger on the IWI pistols are so so sweet. Such great guns.
i don't know what is the pink line on the magazine, but it definitely not a police mag
we had a 1" glowing sticker on the mag, but now nothing on the mags.
Tim. You should try out the Jericho 941 fs in .45. I have one and it shoots so smooth its rediculous.
I just realized that dude is a badass.
I love Israeli surplus. Their hi powers are nice too.
That Israeli method of weapon transition must be difficult to master as you are getting struck in the sack by your rifle every time you release it
Do one on the jericho enhanced.. and when you go back to iwi tell them we want night sights and threaded barrels on the jericho. Thanks mac
When it comes to gun esthetics, a pistol with slide running inside the frame like sp01 just does it for me.
You could compare it to the tristar T-120 or T-100. Just to see the differences
See you space cowboy
The pink marking on the magazine doesn't intended to prevent theft
During a terror event, everyone shoots and for the sake of knowing who the good guys are, we mark the guns with a glowing stickers
thanks for the info
Jericho 941was marketed in the US as Magnum Research Baby Desert Eagle.
Put it through the gauntlet
It may be just my impression, but my all-steel Jericho .45ACP feels much heavier than any of my 1911s. I also have two pistols from BUL, the other Israeli company. Their 1911 is my very favorite and I also have the Cherokee for a home defense pistol. Thanks for this really instructive video, especially the average female IDF officer.
I remember first seeing this pistol it when i was little playing the syphon filter logan's shadow game back in my psp it had stainless steel and black grips and i think it was the 45 acp version in the game
Glad to see you 😊 guys back Mac , been interested in the Jericho's for a while now , might just have to take the plunge. Great video 👍 thanks guys.

No weight to them? 36 plus ounces isn't exactly light but I like how they remind me of a Deagle.
Yeah, I think he meant to say “no recoil”…
No mention of the significance behind the 941 naming? Need a follow up video.
The surplus Jericho 941F I got must be older because it doesn’t have a captive recoil spring and the safety is different. Mine was obviously carried and practiced with but it’s in good shape with an excellently broken in trigger and it’s still very accurate.
CZ and Jericho are both awesome guns. As the saying goes; you can’t be better than your teacher, you can only be as good.
I don't know why but I have a weird crush with the Jericho, she's so pretty.
If you're a cowboy bebop fan, Lok makes CB grips for these.
