The chess24 Legends of Chess is the 4th stage of the $1 million Magnus Carlsen Chess Tour and features Magnus Carlsen and his predecessors as World Champion Vishy Anand and Vladimir Kramnik. It consists of two stages, a 10-player preliminary, where each player plays each other once, followed by a knockout among the top 4. Prelim ties are played as 4-game rapid matches, while knockout ties are the best of 3 such matches. The prize fund is $150,000, with $45,000 for first place, while the winner also qualifies for the $300,000 Grand Final.
The time control is 15 minutes for all moves with a 10-second increment from move 1. The winner of a preliminary tie decided in rapid games gets 3 points. If the score is 2:2 an Armageddon game is played, where White has 5 minutes to Black's 4 but a draw counts as a win for Black. A winner in Armageddon gets 2 match points, while the loser gets 1. The knockout format is the same except before Armageddon there are two 5+3 blitz games. No draw offers are allowed before move 40. Official website: chess24.com/tour

Once when i was like 9 or smt Leko was at my chess club and gave lessons to us for like 2h. He showed us a complicated tactic puzzle which involved a queen sacrifice and even very strong players needed about half an hour to find the move sometimes iirc. After a few seconds i said the correct move (was a queen sac) and he thought i was some kind of prodigy. But i just didnt see that the queen could be taken there lmao

Be2 was probably an attempt to get black to waste a tempo by going back with Bg4 to my mind.
Also, I don't think we could call 7:12 a Tal move, it's less sacrificing a piece and more going all in on the attack when you've just blundered a piece. Qxg4 could be considered a Tal move, as there's no way to parry both Bxd1 and Qxe3 after that move, but there was no chance to save the piece in that position, opening lines and going for an all out attack is what you do in a position like that.

Antonio, buddy you should consider using a Tal head also as this game from Chucky was surely closer to Tal's style than that of Morphy.

I thought the end should have been near at 3:42 when Chucky had all of his pieces pointed in the general direction of Leko's king ... but - nope - that fizzled, and then Chucky even threw away a knight, and came from behind. I really like his games - really unorthodox; how the heck does he do it ... his brain is wired different. Was he self-taught? Musicians who are self-taught think differently from those who are classically-trained, coming up with weird chords and structures and such, which still sound great.

1:37 I guess bishop g7 is to protect the rook as pawn on g5 will be captures by either bishop Or knight and if black recaptures with the pawn his rook would be hanging on h8
