Changing the default search engine in the address bar was already difficult because of where they hid that feature, but who would have thought that changing the homepage on your default tab would be IMPOSSIBLE without an extension! Bro! You are a legend!!! I hate new technology… had this sorted with an ad blocker thing etc. been working fine for months. But edge must of updated and over rided it somehow. So frustrating. Was gonna throw my computer out the window…

thank you so much. all the videos on YT are old and outdated as the settings have been updated to prevent you from doing this, hence we are forced to do addons. i hate bing just like everyone else. i should have bought a mac since i hate ole billy gates too lol. rant over lol. thanks a million!

Never mind. I clicked on details under "Custom New Tab URL," and found Extension Options. I followed the rest of the instructions, then click SAVE. Keep in mind that SAVE barely blinks when you click it (doesn't change colors or go to another screen), but it does work.

Even searching for "google" through Bing brings up a Bing search bar before your desired result. I wouldn't mind Bing searching if it wasn't so bloody stupid. Google isn't great anymore (been going downhill since 2013 or so?) but the results are more relevant, and at least it understands what quotation marks mean. Rant over. You get a like for the workaround, but for now, I'll keep google as a favorited page - until I break and install Chrome.

I was able to toggle so that it's on, but the new icon is not showing on that URL bar next to the other extension. Am I doing something wrong?
