This was fun! Thanks for having me and great to meet the team. Sooo hype for Arc! 💯recommend

Matty my man!!!
Ahh! It was you! Haha amazing, how fun-Andra and I absolutely love your videos by the way, huge inspiration! Keep up the awesome work!
knew it was you when I first saw you Lol
Hey there!@@JustineAprilJ
Respect to arc for changing the web. Use it as a daily drive on my MacBook now 👍
They should have launched on win and mac at the same time. That way it would have actually change the web and would have been much more beneficial to me who uses, Mac for personal and Windows and Linux for work
@@rushabhchheda2582 their target audience mainly uses MacOS and delaying the launch for so long, just so they can make it for windows from the beginning on, wouldn't have made sense. They did everything right. If you're mad about it, get a mac. It's better in every aspect.
@@rushabhchheda2582it would of delayed it and would of had more bugs for the size of their team but I get your drift
@@julius.2003I object that Mac is not good in games, Mac is far behind in customisation, Mac inbuilt antivirus doesn't work well, Mac storage management is disgusting and can't change RAM and SSD .... and lack of ports.
Same here!
Even putting this amazing Act II stuff aside, I've never switched so effortlessly to a new browser ON THE DAY I first tried it about a year+ ago. You guys are awesome!!!
somehow i cant do it hav alot of bookmarks and opendtabs on firefox
everything about the product aside, this is a masterclass on filmmaking, storytelling, and most of all, branding/tone of voice for brand. Absolutely amazing!
I was looking for the words to express exactly that 🙂
Not mentioning the product itself, the browser company makes the best design i've ever seen, respect
True
So the "its all about the money" is a great explanation for why nobody has done this stuff before. I hope TBCNY explains how IT intends to be different (aka how its gonna make money)
They have a video about that
@@cartercrick oh great thank you
literally Bing chat, which has been around for about a year now, does pretty much the same thing - searches for you online.
comparing with Steve Jobs query from the video, the only diffrence is that Arc opens links automatically, while Bing chat is just providing a list with links to RUclips
@@cartercrick what is the name of the video? would like to check that out!
That's what I'm curious about, too. I feel like the MAX features are going to end up being a paid subscription. or very limited until you pay for extra credits to use it...
I've had numerous thoughts about it-I've been using the Arc Browser since it's early stages, testing out the beta version and falling in love with its unique and amazing design. As a Web Dev, I'm always drawn to simplicity that enhances productivity, and Arc has consistently topped my list since its release. Excited to be part of this new revolution!
I have been flipflopping between so many browsers now and every feature that I've loved about other browsers is all in Arc! From the left side tabs to workspaces to AI, I really hope the Windows version can come here soon, I'm so hyped!
As a Filmmaker the quality of storytelling for an update like this has reached a top notch level, it's incredible how sometimes we accept to break the 4th wall in cinema movies but not in corporate films and you have done this incredibly well and bravely!
Proud and glad to use your product! Thank you so much!
I feel like this is breaking the 5th wall. Because 4th wall is the audience. Maybe 5th wall is the camera crew who is never ever shown in cinema movies.
Arc's new features:
2:00 - Instant links
5:01 - Arc explore
9:11 - Browse for me
10:55 - Live folder
Arc explore = Browse for me, which is working on iOS, I guess they're scaling up to meet demand on macOS?
@@AdrianDemetrescu in the demo they show how the macOS version of Browse for Me is even more powerful, so it's understandable it will take more time
Can we use Arc Explorer today?
@@SoyFaii Actually Instant Links is the current equivalent!
@@megazine No in a couple of months! Rewatch the video mate ^^
Found you less then a month ago, already my fav startup. You kill it and the product is the freshest thing out there. THANK YOU.
The whole "The Big Short" Vibe of this video is amazing!
1. The editing and camera work are continuously doing their biggest one.
2. The presentation styles are the coolest.
3. The infamous launch screen making a comeback-
I've been using Arc for over a year now and even in earlier iterations, you can really tell that user experience is at the forefront of every new addition. A lot of people can attempt to reinvent the way we browse the internet or anything for that matter, but the approach you guys have feels so natural. You guys are killing it.
After Apple you have become my most favorite tech company. I really love you guys. As I marketer I adore your style. From a consumer perspective, you are doing everything right. Here comes the BUT.... content creators, companies and businesses will hate you, if you take their content and never send them to their sites. Google will make your life hell, because you are basically ruining their ad business.
I'm not sure, if this is a wise move to have basically the whole business side of the internet as your enemies.
Did you think about that? I mean, they were already complaining with LLMs "where are the sources???"
It shows. This is about as innovative as Apple's been post 2007, which is none whatsoever. For those who know how to use your average browser this doesn't change a thing. Just click your bookmarks and search for what you want. Takes about as long as it does for Arc to search it for you. Just like with Apple's products, this is overhyped.
There are already tools and extensions that do some of that. And companies have found ways to fit their content to developments in browsers, sometimes for better or worse. They will be just fine.
Average cringe ahh apple fans comment
Some of what you said is true, but I think Arc really is something else than just another browser. Yes, it does take a lot of time to search now and you can probably do it yourself in the same amount of time, but I think it is going to get faster and easier with all the improvement in AI and other stuff involved in recent times. Also, bookmarks are another way to get directly to what you're looking for but you can't have a bookmark for every single youtube topic, can you? As for the fact that google will eat them, it is true. But if they get enough support I think they can sustain. @@WolfHeathen
I agree with @atmosblack4366. For digital interfaces, saying "no ads" is saying no revenue. Saying "no pop-ups" is saying no engagement. Saying "just what you need" means a no experimentation. The internet is not broken, it is fractured. The internet has not stopped innovating, it has calcified around hubs. What TBC is building will yield search power from major engines to themselves. If they want to go back to web 1, they need to find a way to dismantle those hubs without destroying the ecosystem.
If this scales, have you considered if this impacts the revenue for the creators of the content you are selecting? Also, how will the incentive structure work so the content creators don’t block you from using their content, either programmatically or legally?
Absolutely love the idea, but would love to see the long term revenue model to ensure this works, otherwise it feels like a feature that is super cool now, but will face roadblocks as it scales. Or is the plan to keep it niche?
I love how the work speaks for itself. I've been such a fan of your release notes and I'm soo happy to see more and more simple and elegant solutions to what I think are the ACCURATE problems that users face. And you show it from the point of view of the user which I think is the best testimonial way to showcase your new features. Keep up the great work guys! Love what you are building and love being a customer in this journey to create a new and beautiful solution to search
Love your products; love your humor. Keep going! Y'all rock.
Can't wait to see something new in software. It's been years and years of just refinement and redesigns.
I never comment on any videos, ever, but to be honest, I freaking love you guys, you understand the problem, you come up with a solution, and you make it so seamless and easy to use while being responsive and good looking, you are the apple of the browser, that is for sure, I really just hope you don't run out of money, considering that I still don't know how you turn a profit, but hey, I am here for it no matter what, keep pushing the boundaries to the limit and keep being you.❤
Only if you visit a website will the website owners make money. If they don't make money, they will not create content on their website. Without content, what will the Arc Browser scrape from the internet?
I get unreasonably excited about Arc Browser videos
i love arc ! keep up the good work ! its fast and smooth !
I wholeheartedly support your vision for the future of life on the internet!
Thank you for making an effort to make software for humans.
Never did I switch so fast to a new software like I did with Arc. And on top of that, the most central piece of software I use everyday. Congrats guys.
So glad there are still companies and people that are doing not just different things, but different things that are actually useful and not AI gimmicks. Very excited for this!
You guys have genuinely changed the game with Arc, and I’ve regained my love of what the internet can be with it: I’m expecting to be very surprised and excited here, and I have faith you guys won’t drop the ball. Ready to face Act II with optimism ✨
This is so amazing. Thank you so much for designing this!!!
I honestly didn't think I would be so excited for a browser announcement but this checked all the boxes omg. Keep it going guys! Been loving Arc ever since I started using it!
Best product design on the market, great to see some people actually do UX
Been waiting for this since December
was a wanted christmas present for sure..
Guys you do what browsers realy need to be capable of. I have so much fun using this browser, thank you!
You guys rock my world! Been using Arc for over a month now and I love it. It runs really well on 128 GB M3 MacBook Pro with a 43" 4K display. 😉 Not my default browser yet, but soon; I am still mastering the best way to use it.
I mean, if it didn't run well in that machine...
@@g.1771We all know he just wanted to show the world how small his pee pee is
I was literally randomly thinking about this, like if a browser could have this feature, how awesome it would be. And Arc is making it possible! Nice job!
Idk, it was a feature nobody asked, and i don't really need it in my life at all.
and i'm actually curious and come in with open mind
and Why badmouthing other companies?,
it showed that this "the browser company" are salty, passive aggressive and nasty.
and in the future, they'll be as evil as companies they Badmouthed, they already shows the sign that
they'll resort to defamation strategy as their core user Acquisition strategy.
i think they're all isolated in their own echo chamber where badmouthing their competitor is the norm,
but other people just didn't see it that way
Genuinely look forward every week for updates for Arc. Never get this hyped for other apps! You guys get me excited for the future!
Really appreciate the browser you all created. Hope it all works out for the team. Looking forward to continued growth and progress.
Your recipe demo sold the concept for me. That is definitely a good example of the type of research that is super tedious and very low return for a lot of frustration. Having it all pulled together and organized with options is amazing!
What I most want to see in your product is a focus on synthesizing accurate and useful material that helps the user actually learn and grow comprehension. This is in contrast with the main tech focus of “magic” results that “just work” but are often mistaken, generative falsehoods, and timesavers that are tuned to only bring you back constantly for more rather than actually helping you learn. Maybe that is what you’re attempting to do already, I don’t know, but I want to really hammer that user paradigm home, please and thank you.
So you want ARC, which does not create any content or provide any valuable information to the web, to scrape other people’s content and hard work, present it to you on a platter, and get all of the credit for for making your life easier.
As someone who has spent tens of thousands of dollars (and tens of thousands of hours) creating valuable content for the web, I can tell you that the talk among most content creators is to either quit completely, or just blast the web with thousands of AI written articles per day (which many are doing) because it’s no longer financial viable to produce properly researched original content.
No recipe blogger is spending hours in their kitchen and hundreds of dollars on ingredients to test and refine recipes, not to mention, stage and take professional pictures so that AI powered browsers, search engines, and summarizers can scrape their content and regurgitate it directly to searchers who never visit their websites.
Running a professional website is also not free. So if no one is visiting websites, there’s no reason to pay for hosting, maintenance, or the time it takes to update content, create new content, etc. There will be no reason for those websites to exist at all.
There’s still hope it doesn’t come to that but in the groups I belong to (we all use the same handful of ad management networks for example), it seems every day more and more are coming to accept that it’s not worth it anymore.
You are giving me the "first iPhone vibes", I'm so exited to use this piece of art. It seems to be part of a big family. Thank you to exist. Sent from Arc Browser
Never thought I'd be excited for updates from my browser! Really amazing job!
Guys, you have a super cool browser! I use it for work every day and recommend it to everyone. Please tell me when the browser will be translated for other languages, this is sorely missed.
Dang, Arc is really shaping up! If this ever comes to Android or Linux, I may just have to make the switch. Also, great presentation--this was fun to watch!
Same thought here! I reallly wish they could bring this to Linux asap, they could really use a hand from the community
Love the marketing! I wonder if people realize how all of this vison crumble without Google business model (not that I support it) - no more Chromium on which Arc is built, no search engine queried by a LLM, no content creator working to get your eyeball time so they can earn ad revenue, etc. Josh is amazing at selling a sexy vision without addressing how he sees that future sustainable! Anyway, keep up challenging the status-quo - it’s time for a new business model and Arc is awesome!
Spoiler: This future isn't sustainable.
100% agree with you. As Cory Doctorow puts it: "Here is how platforms die: first, they are good to their users; then they abuse their users to make things better for their business customers; finally, they abuse those business customers to claw back all the value for themselves." We're at step one with Arc.
@@bjrc I’m hoping we stay at step one

been using arc for more than a year now and it's just amazing. love the design, customization, and speed.
@@Vivaildi It is ChatGPT native, but it knows well how to search... its better to overcompensate now and correct in the future, the alternative is horrendous. Its is not censorship, its a bias

Love this!!!!!!!! Been using Arc since last year. Love it. Keeps getting better.
Love the presentation esp. the drama of the deep breath and face in shadow - very cool engagement!!!! The rest is also well crafted and very interesting as well as outstanding product demos. Good job and much success! I'm all in 🙂
I have never tried Arc (I don't own a mac) but it sure looks great and promising. It's products like yours that remind me that somebody in this world still has interest in innovating, that knows what computers could do if only we used them correctly, that wants people's lives to be better, that doesn't think we already invented everything. Thank you so much for bringing us Arc. I can't wait for the Windows release!
Years of adopting Arc all led up to this moment
You guys have no idea how many times I check for new updates 😅, its OCD level 😂, great work ❤
Exceptional. This is what innovation looks like. Thanks Arc team.
You can really feel Josh’s passion for his vision. So much dedication.
Absolutely love Arc. Been using it for a year as my main and mostly only browser on my Mac. These new features and capabilities are wild.
Opening was going the way of Steve jobs unveiling iPhone and just when i thought, nah nah don’t do that .. the feed cuts and goes behind the scenes. Absolutely fab way to put out feature release video .. kudos team.

I've tried many browsers over the years. Brave was interesting, then Vivaldi was even better... Arc is simply the best to date. And pushing it every day! Bravo!!

Super excited, let's build the future! 🚀
We love ARC! ❤
i started watching this video on brave browser and finished watching on arc .
This is cinema. And it is just a browser, but feels like a cult movie. It is amazing, keep it up
I'm on windows and have been eagerly waiting to beta test it!
its a bit rough atm... It'll definitely get there but expect it to lose a good bit of the stuff that makes it reallllly good on mac. Can't wait for them to catch up to some of the functionality on mac, they've definitely got a good start so far.
The only advice i can give you is to switch to Mac. Not just for arc, but the general workflows are 10x smoother and there's no annoying spyware and bloatware.
@@amr1t_ Exactly this, as someone who's tried it on both Mac and PC, I was just telling my friends who are on PCs( to whom I've been espousing the amazingness of Arc for months now), not to be so quick to use that beta link I sent them, merely because I don't want them to think how rough the Windows Beta is now is representative of how it actually performs on Mac. I can't wait for the Windows version to catch up to Mac, but right now it is pretty buggy-definitely a stepping stone!
I mean windows is much better if you just play games, so it does have its uses as well. There is no solid answer to which os is better because it depends on the person
@@owentharp6906 true, i think mac is getting competitive there with the new M3 max tho

This is amazing and really great for these small searches.
And I love that you are not like "This is the new and only way to browse the internet", because it isn't, it cannot do everything.
The presentation of it all was also great
I love the fact that the "instant search" feature is a button toggle! And the "Arc is typing..." touch with the GUI, PERFECT!
If the future really is just AI browsing on our behalf… won’t that eradicate the incentive for uploading information to the internet? Why would I create a blog or a how to guide if no one is gonna look at it?
In the beginning of the internet, you had no expectation a lot of people would see anything you put online. Much less that you would earn ad revenue with it. And yet, people came together and created and shared stuff. People create and share information because it matters *to them*. This will always be true.
@@FabioBrachtPlus Yes sure there will be a passionate few but it is no where near the colossal scale that we rely on today, 99% of it is driven by some sort of incentive
When I grow up, I want to be like the entire team at Arc. You guys are seriously cool. Brilliant.
watching this as im using Arc on windows!!! I really love using Arc ever since i discovered it on mac. I hope they keep on the development going and all the new great updates! This browser company seems amazing!
Brilliant stuff. Also props to the person that chose the music!
Can't wait for my Windows invite, whenever that comes in 😁
Been using the Arc for a solid 6 months now and there are some quirks to it but for the most part its a refreshing way to use and browse the internet
This looks very promising 🔥 the only thing I wish is to get Android and Windows support sooner. I get that in the US, the majority of people use iPhones and Macs but that doesn't mean you should ignore the other platforms, especially right now with how Apple is treating devs with their Appstore monopoly. Also iPhone and Mac users usually prefer the default apps and are harder to get to switch. You are doing a great job, keep it up! ✨
Arc Explore - Coming Soon... SOON WHEN?! This is sooo good!
I downloaded a browser that claimed it would browse for me.
I told it to find me some replacement motorcycle parts for my 2008 Honda Shadow motorcycle.
I came back 30 minutes later to see what it had accomplished, and there was nothing but like 50+ pron windows open and some cartoon playing with Bender from Futurama doing something to a toaster.
As a convert, while I love the big idea you are going for, it does worry me a bit that a company refusing to talk about monetization is using its free model to break the internet’s and current content creator’s revenue channels. For this not to just lead to independent creators losing income to people no longer visiting their sites, would really like to see Arc’s vision on how the new business models will be for both them (so we can be confident Arc will be sustainable) and the internet content creator value chain (so we can be sure this is truly the future of the internet and not just a project that disregards and disrespects the current hard of work of independent creators and businesses).
5 years ago my lecturer "warned" us that Google would release an answer engine that would disrupt the entire internet. Not only have you guys done it but this is far wilder than I even imagined... wow!
Really love all the innovative ideas brought by Arc, it makes the browser market a fun place again! Really look forward to Windows version. Kudos ❤❤
Arc has redesigned the web browser, exited to see what more can be done.

Honestly almost lost me at the first 2 min of the video but because I’ve tried arc 1 before, I stuck with the video. Those features, and examples, should’ve been the first thing to show us !! It’s nuts! Looking forward to trying it out
If the end music sounds vaguely familiar, it's because the tune originally came from a 1970's song called "Feel the Need in Me", released on Westbound Records in Detroit, and recorded first by Damon Shawn (which, sadly, didn't chart very well) and then bit later by the Detroit Emeralds. The originals actually had a vocal track and as I write this you can find versions by both artists on RUclips.
props for ID that track just off a kick and a 909 hi hat
Okay but windows when?
Loving the video guys! Side note: Im finding myself going back and forth between parts of the video so I catch what the shortcuts are. Meanwhile my 'What's new?' section has now disappeared .. so not entirely ideal.
Never thought id be this interested in a web browser. I love this approach to presentation 🎉❤
Arc is love, Arc is life
My company disabled Arc due to "security reasons"... (even though I work for a tech company based in the Bay Area lmao)
Sadly, bitterly watching this through Google Chrome right now 😢
To be fair, the security may not be that great. Arc should make a video about their security features to let people know about what they do have in comparison to other browsers
Honestly agreed - especially if Enterprise-wide adoption is part of their long-term monetization strategy.@@goldbrick2563

security? There is no security since it's not open source. Your company is totally right about this choice.
