- Tenant facing eviction was served with summons for court but refuses to leave. Tenant is living with large piles of trash near the front door as well as a foul smell emitting from inside the residence. And a naked child living in the midst of it.
The gnats, flies, and mildew smell from the wet carpet makes this one of my nastiest evictions of all time.

I started watching eviction videos when I was faced with my first eviction. I was so afraid of what was coming. I got to my first court date and it’s totally different than I expected. They gave me over a month to come back and have my balance settled. They don’t want to put people out. So to get to this point means that people have hit rock bottom and have put in little to no effort.
I won my eviction case. I worked hard and paid myself up. I pray that these people can forgive themselves and pick themselves up. I know every situation is different but there is opportunity. And there are laws to protect us. Never put it off until it gets to this point.
Feel free to ask any questions if you’re faced with eviction I’ve been there and I beat it!
Why do you say you beat it? What did you do to “beat” the case?
@@mdgraves02 I paid off what I was behind which was $3000 and I am no longer being evicted. An eviction is a lawsuit and I won my case. I can legally stay in my apartment without having to move suddenly.

I'll never understand why ppl live with just pure trash??!!! I can see hoarding beautiful things like clothes, jewelry, trinkets, but not just garbage!!! Like just get a shovel and a bag and throw it away!!!!
I struggle with depression. I’m a single father raising two kids alone. It’s not my kids’ fault that I go through depressive episodes I cook clean work 12 hours a day and keep it to myself they’re kids and should enjoy being kids.

Keep up good work. Im saying this as some that was raised by a single father. Self- care is important . I didnt know that my father battle with mental illness until i was old enough and was dealing with my own depression. Just like you he work, cleaned, did the shopping, and cooked.

when my kids were small, i was going through a divorce, lost my job, they repoed my car, got behind on rent, when they put that evection notice on my door, I didnt have the money, I started seeking a place to live right away. I had to pull myself together mentally for my kids, found another place to move to quickly,. It was very stressful, but I was determined to get through it, God worked it out. I found another place to live, the kids school was right down the street from where we lived, I got up in the morning,
walked my kids to school, walked to the bus stop, found a new job went to work. I thank God he got us through that.

I was so drunk and depressed (no kids thankfully) that alcohol was the only thing that got me out of bed and I was so lazy I’d rather pay the extra money at the corner store than walk the 2 blocks to the supermarket where it was cheaper/had better options, so I sadly know what she’s going through. I hope she gets help. My sister encouraged me to use zocdoc and talk to a psychiatrist (so thankfully I didn’t even have to leave the house, I was becoming a shut in, it was so miserable) and it has helped immensely ❤ and my sister didn’t even know all those details, her life is way more put together than mine, she just suggested it because she sees a dr too. It was a little step that’s slowly helping me to make the bigger ones (health-wise and stuff, I thankfully have a job/apt, etc)

As crazy as it may sound, I’ve seen worse. My older brother had a friend growing up that was living in an abandoned house with his mother and sister. As kids, me and my brother had no clue that the house was abandoned. The house was trashed out just like you see in this video but also had no running water or electricity. My brother said he saw his friend bathing in the small creek that ran behind the house and the elderly neighbor from across the street let them run an extension cord to the house for appliances etc. Most of the time the sister and him would eat at our house before their mother eventually moved them away. My brothers friend later had many issue but his sister actually went to the military and never looked back.
Good for You Mr. Penn, for letting child services know how She had Her young children living… people don’t have to have a lot of money to clean their house/apt💯 mental health is real, but so is laziness and being filthy💯

@@nothinspecial893 you’re right that is one thing that may help her situation. In my opinion, her not properly caring for children and having children are not her only source of stress. I can tell from some of the things she said to Neil that she needs mental health treatment. She seems like she’s on the verge of a breakdown. I truly wish her well and that she gets the help she needs.
This is why landlords should do inspections.
We have inspections in rentals every 3mths in New Zealand its the law
it would be the law here.. but since its 'the melting pot'.. the ppl this country wants to protect..( llike her) would be the most affected.. so its a no go..
@@yadda10akataxpayinvoter Landlords don't need a law to be proactive. I let properties for 16 years. I would inspect once a month and collect rent in cash until I got a feel for the tenant. After that, money order in the mail was fine and an inspection once a year.

I’ll never get over people not paying their rent, they KNOW they’re not paying it but act “shocked” when the eviction notice shows up, I mean, what level of delusion is this?

My experience with evicting tenants is that almost all of them think they have more time than they actually do. And others think minor recent repair issues that are extremely recent are a valid reason to not pay rent. Most judges in Florida won’t even hear a tenants case if the rent is not current. As it should be.

Unfortunately some areas people got away with not for almost 2 years. We had a ton of people by us that thought it was "waived". No, it was just defferimg it. The govt did chip in some, but when it ended a 5 digit bill was sent over. I don't have that. Like they thought that day was never going to come. Its an insane way to live

I bet u also believe that someone that is dealing with any type of mental illness or a drug issue should also be put in jail.
Perhaps not jail, but definitely some mothering classes. And maybe some counseling for depression.

I'm happy you got the proper authorities involved. Those kids deserve to maintain their innocence for as long as possible, and how can they do that living this way? This was horrible. Hopefully she has gotten help, but if not, my prayer is that the kids are in an environment where they are safe and nurtured.

Seriously! I would love to have a dog, my kids would too. But as a single mom to three kids, one who is only a toddler I absolutely do not need another life to be responsible for right now! It wouldn’t be fair to anyone involved, especially not the dog! I will definitely have one one day, when it makes more sense! People need to make responsible decisions! Wanting something doesn’t make you entitled to it!

This eviction may be a blessing in disguise for those kids . Maybe now those children can be placed in a better home a real home that displays cleanliness, safety. I've been so depressed! That's no excuse. If you've been depressed and needed help you should've asked for help. You're just plain lazy. I feel so bad for those kids having to live like that with a mother like that. Thank you for calling CPS for those kids. Hopefully they can go to a new home and lead better lives.

Not everyone has help seriously we don't know if she has a support system and you can't speak on being depressed unless you've actually been there it really is a mental battle

I was under the impression the OP meant help as in a behavioral health center for therapy/medication…not necessarily family support help.

When depression gets THAT bad, you search high & low for mental health help, because the feeling is so unbearable.

I've watched Mr. Penn's video for awhile and I never comment because I don't want to seem judgemental. But the trend of irresponsibility and uncaring, especially with children (any age) just irks me in a way that's kind of uncomfortable. The apartment is completely neglected, yet at some point they prioritized getting a big ass tv, fast food, multiple boxes of beer. I know this can happen to anyone, but damn how can you not watch this with a critical eye and NOT judge.i hope she gets it together for the kids sake.

I have depression too…you know what I don’t do? I don’t live in a cluttered, filthy nightmare. The more cluttered and dirty, the more your depression grows. Take your meds, get into therapy, set yourself 30 minutes a day to tidy and pick up, set one hour a week to deep clean one small section at a time, open your windows and air out your home. Your children will end up as depressed as you. You need to make kids a part of that 30 minute clean. Picking up their toys and putting clothes in a hamper is doable with young kids. You make it a part of routine, reinforcing good behavior for all of you. There is no excuse for this disgusting condition.

She knows she could be reported to children protective services for the condition of her home. She really can now that she’s being evicted. They gave her 6 months. to get it together and she didn’t. This is sad.

My littles are under 10 and we always make sure that our home is clean, safe, and productive for all of us. I do have days where I’m exhausted but that’s what healthy support comes in from partner.
I hope she gets the help that she needs . I pray the children get the care and love they deserve .🙏🏽
The bathrooms in these houses are gross, I have to turn my head everytime he shows one. 🤢🤮 . I understand hard times, but it's the nastiness that gets me.

No way did that place get like that in a month. That looks like she's lived like that the entire time she's been there.
I used to rent homes. The way some of these folks will live if you aren't there every week visiting and checking on them. They will destroy your home in months. I had to quit. Too stressful. I felt like a babysitter. Sold everything. No regrets.
She shouldn’t even get a return. The rest of us work a million hours a year and still have to pay.

Im glad you called CPS on this drunk. She's an alcoholic, they always have some sob story as to way to negate their responsibility and garner sympathy for issues they caused. Her house is disgusting because she's lazy and doesnt care...thats it. She spends her money on booze instead of rent. CPS needs to be involved
I have dealt with depression and anxiety for years. We are a family of four and I would never put my children through that. This is ridiculous and so sad that those kids are living in such inhumane conditions. Where do they sleep? I don’t believe one word this lady is saying, she needs help.
Ma'am I hope that this is a stepping stone to doing better for you and your children. This is sad.

She's just nasty and doesn't want to clean anything. She's using every excuse other than to take some responsibility for her actions.
I hope that she got the help she needs and is in a much better state of mind now so she can be present for her children.

There are a lot of homes in this condition (and worse) with children. Most DCF won't intervene unless it really crosses a line because they simply don't have the resources to fix all cases of neglect.

This woman is a liar. She claimed she didn’t have family there now all of a sudden she has a grandmother and other family in the area. I don’t say this often, but she don’t need them kids. Talking about she taking care of them kids and that house is DISGUSTING. That’s not taking care of kids.

I totally understand depression and anxiety I've been there I've been homeless but I've also came back from that got my daughter a house I pay my bills and I'm very clean! There is no way I could live in filth and water standing in my floor! I only feel bad for the kids and animals. She even looks like she hasn't bathed herself or the children!
