Look at how passionately she defends her own property rights to the refrigerator. That's mine! That's mine! I paid for it! I worked for it! But she didn't care very much about the property rights of the homeowner while they lived in his house rent-free for a year.
I’m still in shock that they thought they could stop paying rent even though they’re taking the landlord to court. This is such a great channel showing people that you CAN’T just stop paying rent! I hope the landlord gets his $29,000 in back rent! It shows they had the money and was just was holding back on paying it! If I was the landlord I would have still excepted the check for all the back rent!
@@Valueshooteryea once they start down that path chances are you’re right. As he says at 9:30 in, w the female, who states we don’t do this etc etc. BUT there are people that do! The law is set up so as to protect everybody - I’ve heard that cases w small landlords in city I live in who have had tenants not pay it’s extremely hard to get the $ back even if they run off and you can find em
It's stated in the video that the rent was $2400/month. They owed $29K which suggests they were 12 months delinquent. Who in their right mind would think it's perfectly all right to live in someone else's house rent-free for a whole year?
Professional Squatters 😂. They believe it's ok. There is so much squatting going on in this country that these squatters can get away with it up to a year before it goes to court. 😒
My mortgage is more expensive than that and our house is 400k. I can’t believe they couldn’t pay that for a damn mansion basically. I’m also in Orlando so the cost of living is higher.
Yup, he definitely knew. He chose to ignore the warnings to vacate or else.I really think in his head he's convinced himself he never got the notice..🤦♀️

When my house was foreclosed on in the late 2000’s, I got an eviction notice. We moved everything out and I cleaned it and handed the keys to the realtor. He said it was the nicest foreclosure he’s ever seen. It’s just bad karma to lie like these people are. They are the kind of people who are victims their whole life. I used to be like that. It’s a 💩 way to live. Live honestly, pay your debts, be kind. Apologize when you’re wrong. Have a great day everyone. ❤
That is such an amazing ethic you have and one can only comment on the positive approach you took thinking of everything else involved in considering your own actions.

When I went to foreclosure, the bank offered me $9500 to move out. I had to remove everything from the property in a certain amount of days and then give over the keys, it's called "cash for keys".
These people think they’re getting evicted because they didn’t receive a letter from the Court, and not because they owe $29k in rent. This level of delusion and denial is actually impressive. 😂
In that moment they were probably unable to think clearly. As someone who had to bail a parent out of foreclosure i think its easy to sit back and say 'delusion' rather than have empathy.
Yep , and the owner was saying the rent was 3000 a month meaning the landlord gave them about 10 months. I dont know if i would be thar patient if i was owed that much money
I remember getting evicted from our home when I was 18. My mother was crying and throwing fresh fruit. 😞 I can say That it was the best for us. We bought a nice Mobil home and property. Stayed there for almost 30 years. Then we built our dream home. Now my Mom is in heaven being happy and not throwing fresh fruit. 😊
Okay. Everyone keeps saying and mostly these videos. I didn't get a letter. I wasn't notifive I have filed bankruptcy, but my thing is you know? When you pay rent if you haven't paid rent in 6 months. Isn't it kind of understood that? Preconceived notion that you are going to get evicted.Playing dumb is no excuse
“The washer and dryer are new I bought it! The refrigerator is ours I bought that it’s new!” Sure got a lot of new things for someone who chooses not to pay rent each month.
exactly..you can afford a 1000.00 fridge but not your rent and arrears in the amount of 29 000????who are they kidding...well maybe they moved in with Tom Brady since he apparently kniw him....plenty of room for sure..
I've just recently bought a washing machine --the dorm kind --last month after years of wanting one. I couldn't get the laundry center type because we're not supposed to have washing machines here and I didn't want to have any trouble with the management. It works well and only set me back $130. I had to put it in the bathtub because I don't have a floor drain, but it does what I want. I clean the filter after I use it, but she's acting huffy over her set. Lady, you can buy another one with that $29,000 your husband has!😒
Alot of Americans use credit cards and loans for everything and it blows my mind. I have just one credit card, my debit card and a car loan and that’s it.
If I heard her correctly, she said they both owned a home and they sold them when they got together. This is a perfect example of why I would never sell my home. Even if I were to get married, I would rent my home out if we decide to live elsewhere. But I’ll never sell it so that I always have somewhere to come back to if need be.
RIGHT ON MY BROTHER! I OWN MY HOME AND VEHICLES OUTRIGHT AND I DONT SEE MYSELF EVER GOING BACK TO PAYING RENT TO PAY SOMEONE ELSE'S MORTGAGE. THESE FOLKS JUST DONT MAKE ANY LOGICAL SENSE TO ME!
She probably doesn’t want the responsibility of owning anymore. I own and will sell , but to by another house. I’m not keeping both . I don’t want to be a landlord. What if your tenants miss rent ? You have a mortgage and the responsibility of paying on the other property. If you can afford this financially I guess it’s ok. It’s much easier to rent.
Sometimes the landlord may work with you if you talk to them. When I rented my bank went offline for a good week it was so strange the bank got hacked and I could not even access any of my accounts or even take money out the whole system was down. I talked to my landlord and she said I was okay to continue living there for the month until I could get my bank resolved. I even showed her that I couldn’t access anything on my phone to even transfer the money to her. 2 weeks later the bank was resolved and I paid her my rent. Communication is key you gotta talk let people know maybe they will work with ya but you can’t just not pay
@@ryans413 Good suggestion. So how many months did you string along your landlord? Apropos of nothing, did you know that some humans lie and are gypsies, tramps, and thieves?
thats the thing, with a home that big. they DEFINITELY were warned many times and they definitely got letters. Not sure how they could act so surprised...Screw them.
When my infant son's father bolted on us, and the eviction process began, I got of everything except for the couch and dining room table. Landlord and judge were super kind, they know it wasn't my fault. I wanted to go stay with my best friend one town over, but the judge, landlord and social worker (including the hospital where I gave birth) was like, "NO!" When someone is evicted with a child under the age of 5, the mother cannot leave. If the child passes away, the landlord is liable. The judge and landlord helped me get another apartment, and I transitioned very smoothly to that other unit. Then I did a payment plan with the landlord and 8-months later I was paid off. The only rent I owed was for rent not paid during the eviction process. Men, stand up to the women that you get pregnant so that you don't put them through trauma.
How did he get you pregnant? Women control their bodies.. were you sa’d? No. And to expect a man to take care of you bc he got you knocked up is naive. You are a perpetual victim.. you’re just like these ppl. Why weren’t you paying rent? Why was he paying all the bills? You lived there- but blame him. Having a baby when a man ran off on you is foolish. You brought a child into a broken home and poverty. You survived bc you had a pity party the judge and landlord fell for.
I haven’t even finished and the fact that she thinks she is so above anyone else being evicted is crazy. “We’re not trash”. How bout pay your bills like the trash you claim you’re not
Exactly…comments like “we’re not trash”, “we’re not vagabonds”, “that’s all my expensive stuff” is just so detached from reality. She tried so much to prove they aren’t in the same category of other people who are evicted…when in fact, she is the exact same, but worse. The entitlement and snobbery of this woman is astonishing.
Mind you it took her a while to find the words she wanted to use which says a lot! But even wtbs.. this is super sad to me. I just can’t see how people can just be living as normal knowing that they have an eviction lingering. 🤯🙏🏾
Because they so used to the old way , when they would stick together and find ways to help each other keep their things . Now a new generation they hope to come up into existence, exist and change the rules to fit everyone no matter what. 😂😂😂 Now the two year rich or wel to do can’t keep living the Made up American tight circle dream.. 😂😂😂..
My question is if the owner offered them money to move out in December because they wanted to sell it, they accepted the money, but refused to leave warranting the owner to get the court involved…. They should have just used the money given to them to move instead of waiting for this. Smh
@@Legal_Sweetie333 the other thing is, they were 12 MONTHS behind on rent, not just 1 or 2. They had a long-ass time to catch up, or at least pay some months, but instead, they paid none. So ultimately, who gives a damn about this letter.
She keeps blaming it on that they didn't get anything in the mail . Come on woman, you know what's going to happen if you don't pay your $29,000 worth of rent 😏.
Yeah she did. Did you notice in part one how he insinuated that the landlord had somehow intercepted the letter? Just after he had talked with the woman at the court. I mean, at what point do you accept blame?
I work for an estate/tag sale company. The “stuff” people accumulate and barely use has made me realize we live in a country of excesses. This video is a prime example.
A lot of her “extremely expensive stuff” probably would bring enough to pay two months rent. All that old China and crystal is no longer desired. This lady needs a reality check, and quick. I wonder why they haven’t paid rent in over 10 months but thought that the owner would keep floating them. The owner might never recoup that lost money.. evictions come in all colors and age ranges. No pay, no stay!
So they wasn’t buying the house just renting the situation so sad always try your best to always pay your rent first and carnote now I don’t know what type of job they have but I would having been saving awwww man🤦♀️🤷♀️
Exactly. I say that every time I see a new storage facility go up. There almost like McDonald’s, in every neighborhood. (Edit: yes storage lockers can be helpful. However, there’s a lot of “stuff” just sitting around collecting dust. Makes me question, for what?)
This happened to me as a child. My lawyer father was brought up on federal charges for being corrupt they came and seize our house. We were evicted with nowhere to go. I had a nervous breakdown as a child that took me 20 years to recuperate. God help the children in all these situations!
I'm so sorry you experienced that. It has a huge impact on the psychosocial development of children going through stuff like this. I'm also wondering where this granddaughter's actual parents are as well. She's already had a separation trauma that has led to her living with her grandparents. ❤️
@@GypsyGirl317The WORST part of the whole video for me was hearing the man even remind them that the kids do not need to see this, and to get them away from it. Of course these wonderful grandparents never took one second to care about the effect on these children. Just completely ignored the caring warning. Not one second s thought or concern. I so wish there were stringent tests to allow procreation. 😠😡
Out of my 40yrs on this earth, I was evicted only 1x. My infant son at the time, his father balked after the baby was 4weeks old. The social system in those instances was very helpful, including my landlord. They felt bad kicking out a new mom with an infant, and there are laws for children under the age of 5. It took me years to recover emotionally but the lawyer, judge and landlord were all very kind. They were angry at Dad. But sadly, the father can bolt, but mom is the overwhelming caretaker. I was transitioned from that apartment (luxury and gated community) to a regular one, and it was a two bedroom. I stayed there for 8-months and then got my own townhouse.
Landlord should confiscate the fridge, washer, dryer, cars, and half the furniture to pay for the rent owed and throw them out. She needs to keep quiet and get the hell out, stop talking to her.
@biblemademedoit don't blame you at all for that. They're not cheap. Honestly I bought them when we first started renting and was able to move them with us everytime so it worked out.

@@allenelder4675 Agree that the owner was a class act. He was batting a thousand on not engaging with the husband and wife every time they attempted it and in every manner they attempted it, and was extremely polite and direct when he had to speak to them. He gave the server some relevant details about how delinquent they were in rent and how the eviction came about but was very objective and not denigrating them, nor was he just venting to the guy about it for his own sake. Also big yes on him buying the crew some lunch at 19:10. I admit I am extremely curious if the husband and wife were still around while the team was breaking bread and whether there was a weird vibe like, “Yeah we are all technically working toward the same goal but we’re not actually on the same team so there’s not lunch for you obviously and also you really shouldn’t be taking a break right now out of respect for yourselves and for us.”

I was evicted once in my life and yup during Covid.. I didn’t receive the court date letter (for real I didn’t!) BUT I knew I hadn’t paid rent for 3 months (yes just 3 months plus they had my security deposit) so I didn’t know sheriffs were coming BUT I cooperated fully, packed up my car by myself (60 y/o single on disability) and quietly left.. I have a hard time feeling sorry for these folks. Especially the lady. She just came off as extremely snooty. “All my EXPENSIVE stuff”. Like, that’s the problem. Living beyond your means! Loved it when Mr. Penn had to remind her they are not a moving company!
It’s hard, but I felt empathy for her when she finished that little tirade with “We’re not trash…” I think she keeps harping on how expensive her things are to convince herself and Mr. Penn that she, her husband, and their family aren’t “trash.” What she’s not seeing in this moment is that 99.9% of humanity is also not trash, even when they’re poor (leaving the trash label open for actual evil). I hope this is a lesson to her, as it’s been a good reminder for me.
Her stuff looks a little trashy to me, not expensive. I did notice she was pulling down the children's artwork first, so her actions are contrary to her words. She values the children more than her stuff. If she *knew* that she probably would have paid the rent.
We saw all the stages of grief in this one: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance. Your videos should be MANDATORY watching for anyone two payments behind on their rent/mortgage in Shelby county. That way they know.
The best part: in this situation you can’t play the customer because of your actions that lead to this event. A very humbling experience for both the defendant and viewers. It would make a good commercial. 😅
I was behind only a few days and this was still a major wake up call lol, even being a few days late I was panicking about being evicted. felt like I was trespassing every day I was late until that rent got paid. I don't understand how people let it get to months and months being behind, it's mind boggling.
It’s amazing how the people getting evicted are running around like a chicken with their head cut off and not gathering valuables. They spend their time arguing and not listening to what they need to do. The wife is going back and forth doing things that don’t make sense.
Are there anybody would act the way she is her husband kept everything from her she probably thought he was paying the rent every single month if I was her, I would be walking around aimlessly having no boxes to put the stuff in. Oh my God people stop it.
Watching her run around gathering children’s drawings and crafts instead of focusing on the valuables, ALL OF SUDDEN BECAME SO CLEAR how they ended up in this situation. Wife has a spending problem and hubby doesn’t tell her the truth about the finances. I owe you $29,000 BUT DON’T TAKE MY FRIDGE!

As for the washer/dryer, she said they just bought them... if true, that doesn't mean they're paid for. This lady is infuriating. She keeps saying she has so much expensive stuff and she doesnt know what to do. This is not who i would want to be with in an emergency. The question is what is priceless and irreplaceable. Grab those and starting putting them in your cars. Photos, family heirlooms, mementos, etc. The rest can be dealt with later. She is just making the process worse for herself
Her expensive stuff.....hence......$29k behind on rent. To much shopping and living beyond their means. Also if they sold two houses and they both have jobs, why in the hell would they not have enough money to pay rent? This is just financial irresponsibility. They both knew the rent was ridiculously behind.
I think she’s reeling from the impending embarrassment she’s bound to feel because she’s probably worried about what people are gonna think…clearly she was a doting grandmother that was into antiques and things…that’s gotta hurt to fall from grace like that. That house made it look like they were BALLING!
That's not at all what that look said to me. She cursed him out in more ways than one, because she's upset that he's reclaiming his property. Also, I wouldn't think a person was "balling" because of a big house. There are ENDLESS ways people spend their money and it's wise to make no assumptions.
Or maybe the fact that they're putting her and her family out on the street! Wouldn't you be reeling too? It's disgusting that no one has a heart for people like this that's down on their luck. Yall better think before you speak cause it might one day be you!

On part one, when he kept advising them to get their personal items and put them to the side, she didn't do anything. She ran around saying we didn't know. See I would have started to get at least my meds, jewelry, money, toiletries, and packed me a nice size overnight bag to go. They had no idea where they were going, other than putting the house in storage. Even with a that they need personal their personal items. They didn't do anything, until he got tired of waiting on them, and begin the process of setting things out. These ppl didn't think this eviction was going to happen.
I speculated as part 1 was unfolding that these people may have taken advantage of the rules that were put in place during the COVID time where there was a HOLD on evictions. The male occupant of the house mentions something about this in part 1. The rent still needs to be paid. It is not "waived".
The quality of some of those furnishings is pretty shocking for an eviction. Have to believe they were living above their means and in denial this time would ever come.
She said some of the things were from her mother, who had died. They may still owe on the furnishings for all we know. In part 1 the husband said he could offer $30,000 to be wired to the owner by end of day. I think it was a stalling tactic ,but if true, they’ve been purposely withholding rent. JMO
Well yeah they were in denial. They knew the eviction process what in motion. They knew. In part 1 the guy called the courts and got confirmation the reset notice was sent to that address and he’s comes up with some conspiracy theory that someone came and took the reset notice out of their mailbox so they wouldn’t get it. But he’s a “rich white man” he never thought this would happen to him. He fucking called Tom Brady on the phone thinking he could fix in in the 11th hour.
Was for the first 2 years, then went up to $3k/month. Still amazing price (I wouldn’t rent for that, cheaper to actually have a mortgage payment). But even still, cheap for that place

If they both owned their own houses and arent trash and have all this expensive stuff, then why are they a year behind on their rent? I suspect it's because they have no respect for the Landlord. These people saw an opportunity during COVID to live rent free for a while and they took full advantage.
I’m still confused how they went from paying in full for 4 years, close to $115,000, and then just stopped paying any rent. $0 in rent, yeah, sounds like they were playing games with the landlord.
@@billstill1794 yeah, they were Walmart people trying to live the Macy's life. They had probably never lived in a nice house like that before which is why they were resistant to leaving. Problem is they stopped paying and made no good faith effort at all to stay there. I would have had their asses out in January.
I have never saw one person move around so much and accomplish absolutely nothing in the process. My childrens drawings are also valuable to me, but she’s focusing on all of the wrong things. This is another example of why I couldn’t do this job; I would’ve had to check that lady real quick when she kept acting like she’s so much better than everyone else.
Lol im trying not to laugh because I know she is having some kind of panic attack and not thinking…but when she started to gather chopsticks in the first video and stickers on the windows i was over her
im no longer a renter but when i was (young in my 20s) never missed rent ever, lucky for me the churches are very generous and helped with food. i rather go a little hungry than live in my car again.
I feel heartbroken for the GRANDDAUGHTER!! First, your parents fail you, so your grandparents get custody, then the grandparents FAIL you. Bless that little girl!!
That’s a huge concern. No child should be exposed to this insecurity. Would have been a better plan to stop buying so much stuff and take care of the child.
Wouldn’t say FAILED her, it’s always other living options and the grandfather obviously still has a job. Hopefully they learn from this and make better decisions going forward.
The couple is in shock. I'm a retired firefighter. I know the symptoms. She's walking around aimlessly repeating the same things over and over again. He's doing the same thing. Can't use his phone. Whether it's their fault or not, it is an overload of incredible proportion to their brain and to their normalacy. This is not normal and the brain is simply ill-equipped process what's never been a possibility in their minds. Ian did the same thing to many people where I live in Southwest Florida. It filled their homes with diseased water and filth and, in the space of a couple of hours, they were homeless. It's inconceivable to watch, nevermind experience. It's amazing to watch how this couple is hyper focused on the letter. That if that letter has been received, all of this would not have happened. They are beginning the narrative of how to explain what happened, how they were so close to solving the problem, but somebody took that letter. See, now they are not deadbeats; they're victims of some sinister plan. Who can fight a sinister plot?
This is a legit excellent analysis. Don't get me wrong, I can't stand these people, but I do see signs of shock. They're been grifting and dodging and making payment arrangements for so long they just cannot believe this is actually happening. The wife takes down the child's artwork from the wall because that, more than anything, made the place HER home. She doesn't want her grandbaby's drawings on the wall while strangers waltz in and move her possessions out. She's trying to protect a tiny bit of her dignity.
I agree. No one seems to look back to the action that started this. Not most recent last action. The one action of NOT PAYING RENT FOR A YEAR. That action. Not the missing letter or the courts or the Covid or Tom Brady or the landlord or the landlord’s son.
And this type of stuff do happen it happen to me I won my eviction in court and 3 days later the constable was at my door evicting me for a 5 day notice I have never received and my rent was paid smh I so I understand what they are talking about. Because no way in hell I would of been there waiting to be put out with me and my kids things.
@@elainewilliams5019 I agree. They knew when they got the first notice that the eviction process had started but paid not one cent while waiting for that "reset letter". But forget the letter. Why didn't they just call the courthouse? The owners were too generous in my view. They would have been gone by January. Idk how Penn was able to stay calm bc Marvin got on my last nerve in Part 1 and she got on a new nerve in this part. I don't think I could have held my tongue😂
I worked in Property Management for 35 years. You're spot on in your explanation to them. I always had a Sheriff with me when we first pulled up. Change the locks put everything outside. I saw plenty of people steal peoples stuff on an eviction. Excellent job Sir!
I noticed in part 1, the husband threatened to call Tom Brady but never mentioned calling into his job after stating he would be on the road. I think the wife is in denial and upset at her husband because he knew this was about to happen. He should fess up and stop causing more trauma to his wife.
I am a landlord and people who didnt need to - took advantage of the covid moratorium on rent when they didnt need to. Many could have paid at least some of it but they took full advantage and didnt. I am a great landlord and even so - I am treated like a dog. I had to renovate my house twice from extreme damage and there is constant lying about everything. NONE have ever followed my simple guidelines Ive given for my house. And they are few and simple. Almost lost hope in the human race..
I.m sorry for your troubles. Anyone who could afford pay their rent should have paid. Society has fallen into the depths morally, and how we treat one another in general, much of the fall occurred since the pandemic. I is depressing for me to watch and read what I do in the news. Behaviorally, my fellow man has fallen very far. M.A. Rosen, M.D.
I know someone who had the money to pay the rent but because the state of California told tenants they didn't HAVE to pay, because of covid, she didn't. I don't know if she ever got it caught up before she moved to another state, but I hope she did. I was really surprised to hear her say that, I thought she had better character than that. Money was NOT the issue for her.
I was in a similar situation, I decided to rent my home out after living there and completely remodeling it costing me over 60,000 to do so and the tenants decided that they didn't like how much the rent was for a 5 bedroom 2.5 bath home which was rented out way less than a home as mine should have been and decided to stop paying me rent. Allowed their dogs to shyte allover my basement floors and my brand new upstairs floors, to leaving their dogs in the home alone and starving them and the pitty killed and ate the little dog, blood all over my kitchen floors, appliances and new walls and trim, to allowing their daughter to etch into my bathroom walls and her getting her period blood all over my toilet and never cleaning it. Trash everywhere, and hoarding situation. In 3 months time. I was pissed. They threatened me, told me I was ignorant, have no right charging them 800 per month for a huge remodeled house. After that I was done permanently and sold all my houses up on auction. The entitlement some of these renters hold is ridiculous. I was never a lousy landlord, but I ended up everytime with lousy renters. I had enough and at this point will never be a landlord. They all got extremely nice homes and they all treated me like dirt.
@@DollzDolly potential renters need to be vetted so carefully, criminal background, credit checks, proof of income. In CA you have to show proof of income three times the amount of rent.
@lauravictorious4670 the people I rented to were friends for over 10 years when I lived in the home, never did I think those people would do that to me and their daughter was my goddaughter, lesson learned. The lady was always at my home almost every day when I lived there, I should have known when she lived in her mother's basement, and tried once to live next door to her mom for only 3 months I was making the biggest mistake. Some landlords require that here, but for the most part here in ohio people highly frown on that requirement.
Did she forget the camera was running ? These people lived way above their means. I’d rather pay the $1300/ mo I do for an apartment than have all that space to dust and be in debt while dusting. 😂
Thank you for posting part 2! This guy has incredible patience with people. He should make a video about the process and his experiences. I bet he has some stories.
There level of commitment to the “ not receiving the letter” bit reminds me of when I knew my report card was coming so I’d make sure and check the mail and take it out before my parents checked the mail. I swear mom, they never sent the letter 🤷🏽♂️
As a parent, you should be up on when report cards come home, and follow through with the school if you never receive it in the mail. In today's time, everything is online, so parents simply need to look online. Anyway, the lengths people go to to hide the truth, is mind-boggling. Also, did you feel no disgust with yourself for lying to your parents?
Have a feeling that’s how they got into this mess. What I find most ironic is kids don’t even usually play with all that expensive crap. They get the most enjoyment out of simple everyday objects and toys from the dollar store
The crew on these videos are AMAZING…I’m so impressed with them every single video I watch. The crew and Mr Penn are the reason I come back to this channel time after time ❤
“We just bought that washer and dryer” yeah because you weren’t paying your rent along with everything else in the house. You cannot live beyond your means and expect to make it. Somewhere we all have to reign it in.
OH how the tables have turned.... O.P, you're a good guy for making sure you have no prejudice. You treat all situations and everyone the same... You respect everyone and inform them of how things work. PERIOD.
For the first time in my life, I own everything. I bought an RV and I am retired. I live in a nice park and if need be, I'll just drive away. It's a good feeling.
Look at how passionately she defends her own property rights to the refrigerator. That's mine! That's mine! I paid for it! I worked for it! But she didn't care very much about the property rights of the homeowner while they lived in his house rent-free for a year.
BEST COMMENT!
I know. Like that refrigerator is worth WAY more than the rent they owe 🤔.
I’m still in shock that they thought they could stop paying rent even though they’re taking the landlord to court. This is such a great channel showing people that you CAN’T just stop paying rent! I hope the landlord gets his $29,000 in back rent! It shows they had the money and was just was holding back on paying it! If I was the landlord I would have still excepted the check for all the back rent!
yeah 100% the owner of the house just lost 30k, on top of all the cost of going to court and hire people to move clean, and repair the house later on.
Then he went up to 3000 a month.

These people think they’re getting evicted because they didn’t receive a letter from the Court, and not because they owe $29k in rent. This level of delusion and denial is actually impressive. 😂
It doesn’t matter if you didn’t get letter😂😩 you still knew you had to go 😂
In that moment they were probably unable to think clearly. As someone who had to bail a parent out of foreclosure i think its easy to sit back and say 'delusion' rather than have empathy.
Delusion or selective awareness? Well, I guess that is the same thing though 😂
From what the lady is saying, it seems like the husband was keeping the whole thing from her

You say that now. But when you get married things change.

Not paying your rent and staying in the property is the same as stealing. It’s so weird to me how people feel justified in this.
Shut up.
That’s wild the landlord can be responsible for your child in that capacity. Crazy
Many men could give a damb if the child and child’s mother lived or died 😢

I can’t get over how cheap the rent was for that beautiful home
Extremely cheap, I was shocked....Some ppl pay more than that renting
Cost of living in the Memphis metropolitan area is super cheap

That was my first thought too!
Mind you it took her a while to find the words she wanted to use which says a lot! But even wtbs.. this is super sad to me. I just can’t see how people can just be living as normal knowing that they have an eviction lingering. 🤯🙏🏾

Blame your dad and mom.
Yay she got a free fridge lol.

No screaming and carrying on “I didn’t get letter.” I knew I was in the wrong.. So watching people act like this infuriates me..
God bless you. I hope you landed in a good spot.

And if you can pack up your car, surely you can work. Yet your collecting disability...

Maybe not months, but enough to know you're about to get put out.
I have a hard time feeling sorry for these folks. Especially the lady. She just came off as extremely snooty. “All my EXPENSIVE stuff”. Like, that’s the problem. Living beyond your means! Loved it when Mr. Penn had to remind her they are not a moving company!
She made a remark in part two about some of that stuff coming from her Mom. Made me think that some of it was inherited?
There’s going to be a lot of stuff broken in those garbage bags, I love that for her she knew, he knew, they just didn’t want to pay their rent!
It’s hard, but I felt empathy for her when she finished that little tirade with “We’re not trash…”
I think she keeps harping on how expensive her things are to convince herself and Mr. Penn that she, her husband, and their family aren’t “trash.”
What she’s not seeing in this moment is that 99.9% of humanity is also not trash, even when they’re poor (leaving the trash label open for actual evil). I hope this is a lesson to her, as it’s been a good reminder for me.
They are the worst deadbeats I've ever seen. Entitled dishonest disingenuous and lots more. Worst of all not attempting to not con everyone.

They had no idea where they were going, other than putting the house in storage. Even with a that they need personal their personal items. Wow, my anxiety level is through the roof after watching that. I’m so fortunate I’ve never experienced anything like that.
JMO
If they were $29,000 behind in rent I bet a lot of their belongings were bought with credit cards and they filed bankruptcy.

I agree. No one seems to look back to the action that started this. Not most recent last action. The one action of NOT PAYING RENT FOR A YEAR. That action. Not the missing letter or the courts or the Covid or Tom Brady or the landlord or the landlord’s son.
They received several notices before it got to this point.
I did 16 years this year, I had to leave....everything has changed so much...I had to gooooo
That crew of his works harder then I've ever seen anyone work.God Bless Them
There level of commitment to the “ not receiving the letter” bit reminds me of when I knew my report card was coming so I’d make sure and check the mail and take it out before my parents checked the mail. I swear mom, they never sent the letter 🤷🏽♂️
Until the school calls, then it’s like the eviction, holy crap.
😂😂😂😂
Doth protest too much!!
@@MikeJMarineexactly what happened 😂. The school called and left a voicemail. I was cooked.
That whole house is like a childs playhouse, toys EVERYWHERE!!! More toys than amy child could possibly play with in a lifetime! What a mess.
I agree with you
Sell some ofyour crap and pay the rent
Have a feeling that’s how they got into this mess. What I find most ironic is kids don’t even usually play with all that expensive crap. They get the most enjoyment out of simple everyday objects and toys from the dollar store
More than likely they have grandchildren and probably were home schooling at some point.
Entire house cleared out. She’s still walking in circles.
The crew on these videos are AMAZING…I’m so impressed with them every single video I watch. The crew and Mr Penn are the reason I come back to this channel time after time ❤
Thank you so much! 🙏🥰
“We just bought that washer and dryer” yeah because you weren’t paying your rent along with everything else in the house. You cannot live beyond your means and expect to make it. Somewhere we all have to reign it in.
Safe bet they "bought" those on credit.
Day cares require a lot of laundry
She may not have known. But I bet her husband knew.
I agree with you. Who thinks they can rent a place and live for free?
She said her husband went to court. She knew or should have known why.
She mentioned going to court and never getting a new court date, she knew they weren't paying. Try being more intelligent
I don't think I've heard a single tenant say, "we didn't pay our rent and we're being evicted for it".
To be fair, wouldn't make a good video
OH how the tables have turned.... O.P, you're a good guy for making sure you have no prejudice. You treat all situations and everyone the same... You respect everyone and inform them of how things work. PERIOD.
For the first time in my life, I own everything. I bought an RV and I am retired. I live in a nice park and if need be, I'll just drive away. It's a good feeling.
