Descendant is basically just high school musical with disney villains. I like Kenny Ortega because of nostalgic Hocus Pocus and Michael Jackson This is it.
His first movie, Newsies, is a favorite of mine too

So, in the isle you can’t do magic, but the wand can do magic even inside because the wand was the object that created the barrier, so the barrier effect does not apply to it.
Edit: After correction, since I forgot about the 3rd movie. The wand can do magic inside the isle because is "good magic"...
No you can't use dark magic you can still use light magic

I’m actually on Uma’s side, Mal did bad things in the first movie because she wanted to make her mother proud but Uma wanted a better life for the people from the isle but since they want us to be on Mal’s side they portray Uma as evil for doing the same thing she did, and I’m still mad with the fact when they were little Uma wanted to be her friend and Mal humiliated her in front of everyone, Uma has an actual reason to hate Mal but Mal hated her because she thought she was better than Uma, also Uma didn’t want to work with Ben because she didn’t believe he actually wanted to help the people from the isle, I mean can we blame her? He took 4 villain kids from there and then he forgot about his “solution” as soon as he got better things to do, Uma wanted her people to be free as soon as possible instead of 4 kids per year
