I love that your series even extends to the values of self care 😊🙏 I think it’s all too easy to “live fast, die young” to focus so much on attaining success that we sacrifice actually living out our life. Now I just want to “live slow, die old” 😂💗
😂😂 yes! Self care is so key!! I think the point is there are different personalities out there - living “fast” might work best for some types of people, but not all! Or it might work best for a short amount of time but not always. You get to choose what’s best for you! Thank you for your video submission btw I’m so excited to share it!! ❤️
When I was 20 years old, I went 21 weeks without drinking or any mind altering substances. The 21 weeks was a great length period to help me solidify braking a (what I consider a destructive) habit I had for years.
I love your point about forgiving yourself and going at a pace that works for you. While it is important to have goals, it is also important to recognize how many different things go on in life and allow yourself to shift your focus accordingly. Great video!
hi aileen! i started writing and drawing a comic in 2015, worked on it diligently for one year, and then took a short break from drawing and creating art that turned into 2 years. i had mostly given up and accepted that the project was never going to be finished. but, through this series, i realized the project was still deeply important to me and was able to start working on it again. i updated the comic for the first time in 2 years last night and i felt so accomplished and proud of myself. thank you for giving me the tools and the courage to follow my dreams again.

Good thing because I’ve been needing them after taking a hiatus, partly from being busy with kids and family stuff in summer and partly from being scared of my own growth. I love 'Succes at the speed of balance', I think it's a great reminder of what I need to focus on in my life. As someone with mental health issues it's important that I schedule down time regularly, but these days I hardly find myself doing it. Both critical voices inside my head and co-workers are always pushing me to be a better me at all times because 'Oh, progress never came from comfort zones'. It's a real struggle for me to find a balance between taken time off from what drains my energy and pushing through my personal barriers. I feel like we aren't taught to accept our personal limits, but each time I do I am so much more at peace with who I am.

I love you channel so much Aileen thank you for the video. I just started a summer job that's fast paced at a pharmacy compounding center. I tend to carry stress with me from work due to all the mistakes I make but I've only been there a month. I seem to try to go fast and forget that I am only a 2nd-year uni student while everyone else in my workplace are adults and has already graduated from a pharmacy technician program and are professionals, all thw while I have never done anything like this. I need to learn to forgive myself and work "at a speed of balance" in order to feel better and produce better products.
This was great thanks so much 💞 I love what you said about knowing the reason behind the habit you want to start to motivate yourself more. If you have a tangible reason why you’re doing something it helps a lot more. Rather than just trying to drink 8 cups of water just for the heck of it. You write down and are reminded of all the benefits, that way you’ll prob stick with it more rather than blindly doing something. Habit stacking is also a really great idea. I’m an incoming clinical psychology student and that makes a lot of sense based on what I study!
Thank you for all that you do. I’ve been really trying to practice proper self care. I recently began to slowly cut off my family since they’re extremely toxic. It’s been hard but it’s most certainly necessary
