  • Dear friends
As I’ll be catching a flight to Dubai later today, I thought of posting this episode a day earlier as opposed to be regular Thursday. As this was done in a hurry, I made a small mistake in the voice over, instead of saying ‘guininggao’ I said ‘guiniangao’. Please forget me and move on, I need to say this out clearly since there are some who likes to pick on my mistakes. Meanwhile please go out and support the local street food, be it in Ipoh Garden or otherwise. Thanks, and see you in the next.

Ipoh is always amazing with the food and culture, dare I say. White Kopi and Chicken Hofun over there is on of me favorites.

Hi Mr elmo. I love all your videos especially because of the intro to each location and backstory which are so informative and also funny! Great job on the subtitles, very accurate words used to describe the jokes from Cantonese to english. Keep up your great work .

This time at Wooley Park and Toong Koo Teng in Ipoh - there are so many varieties of good Ipoh food to pick and the one that catches my eye is the Hor Hee noodles that I have been missing for awhile - the Hu Keow and the saitoh fishballs makes the hor hee a great bowl of noodles. Over at Wooley - a good choice from Vietnamese Pho to Japanese (+Chinese influence) bowl of ramen to introducing the right way to taste Gao Ji (Gyoza) all makes it worthwhile a visit there. If I'm not mistaken - over at Toong Koo Teng -there is a claypot chicken rice that uses the "correct" way to make a bowl of charcoal flamed claypot rice. Maybe it's not open on that day. Again - thank you Elmo .... a safe and pleasant trip to Dubai ( guess you have arrived there by now ). Yatt Lau !!! Mou Tatt Deng !!!👌👌👌

I left Seremban late 1969 and have only been to Ipoh twice since but don't remember the local food scene was ever significant . I usually stop over in Malaysia for about 7 - 8 days which limit opportunities for local cuisine much to my dismay . I truly envy Malaysian residents 🤤

Hi uncle elmo, just a note on ccf.... one of Penang's top prawn paste CCF comes from a relatively popular coffee shop called Genting cafe. Give it a try if you are over there ! food topic aside, i understand there are a lot of challenges being a youtuber.... just hang in there ya cos u are doing fine

If you are a hard core fan for spiciness, such as white curry mee, prawn mee, nasi kandar and so on, Penang is the answer. On the other hand, if brothy noodle is your preference, and perhaps, tender and succulent bean sprout chicken, shredded chicken "hor fun" etc, then look no further than Ipoh. There's no superiority and inferiority between the two, I just like both.
