Personally I have been able to travel outside of Ipoh town for my last 2 trips. I hope to be able to visit the hills around in Ipoh and Taiping in my future trip

Taiping is very serene.. also with green hills around the city.. some of the friendly people I met referred to Taiping as "the city for retired people".. don't know if that is true... and all talked about how much rain Taiping gets.. yes, the rain stats are true.. but i was there 2 days, no rain at all.. easy drive to/from Ipoh - so, worth the while
@@RotiJohnPrata-h9o many people only know Ipoh, I think Taiping deserve the attention as well. There is also a kampong in Perak that I also want to go to, Lenggong

Nam Heong and Funny Mountain is normal by Ipoh standard. They have been around for at least 40 years. Good for tourist to benchmark what to expect for Ipoh food.
I tend to agree with you. As a frequent visitor/ local, I am sure there are places that you all would find better than the tourist brands. I supposed such places are pretty disperse/ require the use of transport. Some I think are the "best kept secrets".... I guess for tourists like me with limited time, I am already contend with the tourist household names.
ipoh boy here. for me 35 years living here no shop can beat this two. the nam heong coffee shop owner son or son in law is one of the founders for old town white coffee franchise brand.

Ipohites would know the white coffee of 新裕隆is the most preferred and not the one of Nam Heong.
I have pinned Sin Yoon Loong to be visited but I only had one coffee shop to do in this trip. Perhaps that will for my next trip
