- Ryanair Trip Report from Barcelona to Brussels Zaventem onboard one of the Ryanair Boeing 737 on a very nice summer morning.
This was one of my first flights after the lock-down we had during spring and early summer 2020. It was a very comfortable flight with, sadly, not a lot of passengers, as we could expect. The views of Barcelona after departure and all the Brussels area during approach were just amazing.
During landing, when the airplane was touching down and decelerating, one passenger decided it was a good moment to stand up and start looking for his luggage! Of course, that triggered the senior Cabin Crew to tell him to sit down immediately. This was the first time I've seen such behaviour in more than 600 flights I've done.

Top marks to the Cabin Crew, the lady handled very well, assertive and in control, she even said thanks.
On a trip to Paris Beauvais, a passenger stood up AS SOON as the plane touched the groud! He was very lucky he was not injured!

Once on an Emirates flight between Dubai and Perth a 94 year old lady (really!) stood up to go the toilet about 5 miles from the threshold! Obviously at that age the 11 hour flight from Dubai had been a bit of an ordeal and she needed the toilet urgently. The hosties were excellent and escorted her to the loo, then after landing back again! Full marks for Emirates on this flight.

Lovely Trip Report! Glad to see more and more older Ryanair aircraft getting the newer seats installed, it really improves the legroom and I find the tray table on the new seats is much more sturdier than the old ones. ✈️

Had something EXACTLY like this a few days ago, when arriving in Berlin with Easyjet. Got up on the runway and opened his overhead locker. Once we were parked, he was once again the first one up, even before the seatbelt signs were off.
Incredibible that some people do that...
if I would be a flight attendant, I would make him wait with an imaginational reason :D

Who knows... anyway, even if it was his first flight... I don't think you need a high IQ to know that you must not stand up when the plane is decelerating from 300km/h to 50 km/h in seconds...
@@OnBoardHD I know I'm late but the crew also flat out tells you that you must remain seated when the seatbelt sign is switched on which it obviously is during takeoff, landing and taxiing so being a first time flyer isn't an excuse.
Great report as always. Fantastic views of Barcelona on departure. I’m sure they were thanks to a direct routing by a very nice Air Traffic Controller!! Very rare views on departure I am sure. I normally stay at the H10 Hotel Marina not far from the “twin towers” which were clearly visible!

Great Report! Can't believe someone would stand up during landing and try to collect their luggage. Either they were a first-time flyer and don't know how it works or just made a stupid decision.
Nevertheless, Ryanair's 737s with the new cabin are very smart and elegant!

I flew a Ryan air 737-800 in economy .it wasn't a good a good experience because legroom was bad but it was alright because I flew the sky interior jet.I flew between London Stansted and madrid

At the moment it's almost impossible to flty anywhere. When the COVID restrictions will be reduced/eased I'll try to visit it again, for sure :)

Tambien me gustaria saber si la persona que se levanto en el aterrizaje sabe la peligrosidad que hay durante la maniobra. La frenada puede ser muybrusca y en caso de GO Around eso no es como el Tren o Metro, es una aceleración muy alta

I actually once experienced passengers making calls during landing in China and some passengers standing up while taxiing or anyway before parking few times in Europe... I really hate those irresponsible behaviours!
Yes, I've seen many times people using phones during landing and taxi... but standing up never! :D

A mí hace poco en un vuelo me pasó que un tío justo antes de despegar se levantó a coger algo de la maleta y la sobrecargo llamando a cabina para que no despegara porque el tío no se sentaba hasta que cogiese sus cosas

Vete tu a saber... aunque la verdad es que no hay que ser un lumbreras para saber que no hayque levantarse cuando el avión está frenando desde casi 300km/h a unos 40-50 km/h en la mayor brevedad posible... =/
Estamos todos de acuerdo que esa persona que se levanta fue imprudente y no sabemos si su ignorancia fue a causa de ser la primera vez viajando en avión, sin embargo también ignoro si la sobrecargo es nativa hispano hablante, pero no fue la forma correcta de hablar pues usa el imperativo regañando al pasajero desde el sonido de cabina. Eso no se hace!, Hay maneras de llamar la atención en nuestro idioma sin necesidad de dar ordenes... pudo ella utilizar: "por favor permanezca sentado, es peligroso andar en cabina mientras el avión frena", "por favor utilice su cubrebocas"... el español es tan hermoso bien utilizado. Utilicemos siempre las buenas maneras hacia los demás, principalmente en un altavoz. Punto malo para la sobrecargo, denota con ese léxico prepotencia y falta de preparación. Punto malo para Ryanair. Para Trip Report mis felicitaciones por la edición y preparación de este vídeo... hermosas tomas entre las nubes!

Sin embargo, lo cierto es que estoy totalmente en desacuerdo contigo.
La reacción de la sobrecargo me parecio sobervia. Dificilmente mejorable.
En primer lugar le dice, más bien le pide, que se siente en Español e Inglés. El pasajero no hace caso y la situación es extremadamente peligrosa. En ese momento la sobrecargo usa correctamente el imperativo para que ese insconsciente se siente de una vez.
De una persona que hace lo que hizo este señor no puedes esperar que reaccione a pedirle que se siente, y aún así se le pidio.
Con tu comentario me haces dudar si eres realmente consciente de lo peligroso que es estar de pie mientras un avión frena de unos 300 km/h a unos 40-50 km/h en cuestión de segundos...
I am watching 3 years on after the pandemic and now to me it's still scary what happened. I am still getting vaccinated from next June the 6th 2024 . Please never again.
on every flight there is a black sheep ... the passenger is penalized for something like that when attempting for his own safety ...? I was struck by the speed during the descent ... I had already been told that this company tends to have landings at a lot of speed ... that's how it is my impression PS you have made flights in regional companies of the other side of the pond, an abzo vordila from cordoba Argentina . ...
Well, I don't know if in every flight, but in this one, we could have one, apparently.
It's not the same landing speed on a B737 than on a regional plane. It also depends on many other factors: tailwind on approach, temperature, air pressure...
There is no airline that makes fast or slow approaches, the planes need a different speed in almost every flight depending on several factors.
Ryanair? No thanks
Did you have any bad experienxe with them?
No one standed up on landing
Or you are a troll, which I sincerely don't think is the case; or you didn't watch until the airplane vacated the runway...
