On the 5th April 2024 I flew from Jet2's New Base (Liverpool John Lennon Airport) to Tenerife South! I was thrilled to use the new service and found it Amazing.
I much quicker and efficient way for me to travel to Tenerife as Liverpool is a little closer to me than Manchester.
Jet2 started on the 27th March 2024 from Liverpool, I was able to stream their start up too!: • 🔵☀️🔴LIVE JET2 HAVE ARR...
I returned the same day, but on the Jet2 Airbus A330-200 Airtanker back to Manchester Airport.

Liverpool airport rocks compared with Manchester, I would always recommend if it’s possible over Ringway

good vid, Liverpool John Lennon is a great Airport and enjoyed by many without fuss of larger airports. the landing by the way of the aircraft in Tenerife was superb. if you shut your eyes you wouldn't know you had touched down 34:12

Oh that landing was pure butter, I was on a Ryanair MAX 8 the day before you flew and we had a heavy one at CIA airport, maybe making my own video on that soon.

Class video mate jet2 will have 4 737-800 running from June 1 2024 from Liverpool and in March 2025, we will have 6 running 737-800 and the possibility of 2 a320 neo as well .
No NEOs planned for Liverpool anytime soon. Edinburgh is to be next from November 2024. LPL will have 5 737s next summer.

Tenerife far to Cloudy and overcast, stopped going there years ago
Probably the nature of the Mountains that cause that, I have been 19 times to Tenerife and I have never found it too bad as the air is usually still warm when clouds are scattered.

I’m terrified to fly on the 737 after the incidents that have been happening with the model, but I know I will be fine. It’s just worrying (if you know what I mean)
I believe the 300-800’s are ok. Generally. There are thousands upon thousands of them flying. Bit of a handful to fly but solid. Pilots seem to quite like them (for varying reasons)The max is the turkey. They need a new plane from the ground up to recapture the market.
737-800s which Jet2 and Ryanair fly are very safe. More risk traveling to the airport
