So thankful that this young man lived. I really hope someone has investigated Dr Ortiz back many years. He’s probably responsible for a lot of deaths over the years.
I’m wondering that myself I’m sure there is more victims the investigators may have to go back months or even years. Here are my questions how many hospitals or out patient facilities has this guy worked at he may have moved several times over the years for all we know.
Never trust any non White doctor. It takes an above average IQ to be one, unless you practice in a third world country
Agree 😮
@@marwatson7408 exactly, Doctors can work at more than one location inside a hospital/ surgical center system. They can also work at other hospitals. Also, if he was licensed in TX, he might have been able to practice in other states as well. He was greedy and I bet his malpractice was applied to other healthcare facilities and in other states. Those organizations aren’t going to volunteer to investigate into that unless they are forced to.

The surgeon is the kind of doctor you want…analytic, curious, not satisfied until he had an explanation for a patient who is rapidly declining in front of his eyes. He wasn’t going to accept his patient dying. Thank goodness. Such a relief. Other patients were not so fortunate. 🐑🐑🇳🇿🇳🇿NZ

What do they mean "tainted"?? Tainted with what?? By whom?? What's the rest of the story here?
I live in Dallas and a Anesthesiologist Dr has been arrested and is now going thru the court system for putting deadly drugs in IV bags. It even killed a Dr who took a bag home to help when she was sick and caused a heart attack. It's been a ongoing Investigation for awhile. Killed quite a few people.
The disgraced Dr. sabatoged the I.V. bags by injecting them with drugs that harmed and killed innocent people (patients) because he was "angry" at the hospital. If found guilty, it is willful intentional homicide,
He put in pain killers and a stimulant
Psychopathic doctor killing people.
Sounds like he is accused of tainting the IV fluid bags with Epinephrine (Adrenaline in other English speaking nations). It is a cardiac stimulant and vasopressor, I.e. depending on dose will increase heart rate and blood pressure. Excessive doses can lead to life threatening cardiac dysthymias (Ventricular fibrillation or tachycardia), stroke or extreme hypertension. It is extremely unusual for a doctor in any hospital or facility to be collecting IV bags, they would usually ask a nurse or assistant to get it for them while they are focused on more important tasks relating to the patient.
This needs to be a prison without the possibility of parole sentence!
More like death penalty
Prison is too nice for someone with this level of evil in him.
😢 I had surgery there in 2022, different doctor though. This makes me so sick to my stomach.

Hi
Medical care system should not be for profit system. Most people will only be in it for the money, not because they have a calling for caring heart.
Some at least do. Other than for a paycheck, why would they stay?
What have the bags been tainted with?
Bupivacaine a local anesthetic
The video mentioned Epinephrine which is more consistent with the symptoms. A local anaesthetic would have to be given in large doses for it to have an anti-arrhythmic effect on the heart.
Epinephrine
Crack
Bupivacaine and it’s a nerve blocker
No way should society pay for this doctor to be in jail for the rest of his life. Is there no death by IV bag penalty in Texas? Something about eye for and eye I once read seems perhaps applicable here....
It's premeditated 1st degree murder. Doesn't matter from iv bag or gun or whatever. If proven guilty he could get the death penalty
It costs far more to get a death penalty case carried out than it does life without parole. And it keeps the killer’s name in the news as they keep dragging the victim’s family back into court throughout the lengthy appeals process. Life without parole protects the public and they are forgotten about. The end result is the same in that they never leave prison alive. Also the conditions on death row are actually much better as crazy as that seems. The death penalty is the biggest waste of time, resources and money. It’s not like many sentenced to death ever face execution as most die of natural causes. I’d rather see money go towards the victim’s family and crime reduction efforts.
I hope he'll not have long lasting health problems ☹️
God bless you and your family!!! And to all the victims who have this awful POS as a doctor!!! Can you imagine having to go BACK!!??
Hi
Poor young man. I pray that he and his family get the justice that they deserve 🙏
As a preteen I had a surgery go terrible wrong. Due to the mental trauma it caused, my life was severely disrupted. Now as an adult I can say that because at that time at such a young age I didn't know any better. I only wish I could seek justice for what happened to me.
I remember from my childhood. Our local hospital had this doctor of death. Several patients passed away after being seen by him. Some just right after arriving to ER.
Did the do any testing of these tainted bags to determine what they are tainted with?
Epinephrine.
It was bupivacaine.. A nerve blocker
@@Hatbox948Where did they get the IV from? Who delivered it and who received it?

this is legit why i am scared to go to the doctor or have to be hospitalized for any reason. there are way, way too many medical k!llërs in hospitals who do things like this and get away with it. i really do not like putting my life in someone else’s hands and when my mom was hospitalized i was calling everyday checking up on her so that they would know she wasn’t just alone. never ever go into a hospital and just assume people have your best interest at heart because there’s some weirdos who go into medicine with god complexes…
Not only that.....they tend to have an attitude anytime they can't have their way with you. A clear indication that you or they have to go.
I don't trust doctors anymore at all. You should get into it because you want to help people, not to get rich
Im so sorry these people had to go through this.... blessings to all families 🙏🙏🙏
My wife got a "routine" colonscopy in 2008, in which the "doctor" punctured her bowel. The "medical" system hushed it up and transferred the "doctor" to another state, in their system. The old joke is true...what do you call the guy who graduated LAST in his medical school? Doctor.
That's why I never go for colonoscopies...they push these procedures because they make a lot of money and the patient is the one at risk
According to the CDC 250,000 people die every year due to Medical mistakes. Media and Congress keep their mouths shut about that powerful lobbies. But they scream to high heaven about gun control they're not interested in Saving Lives if they were they would do something about this epidemic that happens every single year.
Hopefully you filed a malpractice lawsuit.
So true. There's a lot of D and F Physicians working here in America. Plenty of them pay people to take test for them.
This is why I have been afraid of getting it done. I am all alone, 25, my family is gone. I don't know who would fight for me if I got wounded during treatments
Put that doctor on his own operating table.
His surgeon saved his life. It was a random uninvolved doctor who tainted the bags

Thank God he survived. This Dr. is a murderer.
Why would they take their son back there!? That’s one of the stupidest things I’ve heard in a while.
so the key question here is
how, where, and why were they tainted?
Is there some form of chain of custody for handling these things or are they open for anyone at the hospital to get access to?
What if there is a serial poisoner/killer loose among the staff there who poisoned/tainted it by injecting something into it?

My husband went in for a bypass, and caught pneumonia in the hospital. He passed away.
@@user-kb6wd5it4z Yes, very dangerous. Sepsis also. People go in for routine procedures. I.E. kidney stones, flu and come out with no hands or feet. One nurse in Florida stole her patient's credit card and these people just get a slap on the wrist. Don't lose their license and move on to the next hospital.

Dr comes home from work and has husband hook up IV bag? They take them home to have on hand? Why did this Dr need an IV bag at home in the first place?
Maybe she was ill but still had to work during the Covid emergencies or has some chronic disease.
Lots of doctors do that when they are feeling ill. The docs I used to work with would take home “banana bags” which is what we would hang for patients who were intoxicated.
She was dehydrated and wasn’t feeling well apparently she has done it before but this time she picked up a tainted bag.
We're not supposed to, but it's commonly done. When I was a medical student, a lot of the residents did it and everyone, including the faculty, knew about it. Some even encouraged it because you wouldn't have to call in sick. I've done it myself. It's actually very safe. If you do it reasonably slow, you can avoid any issues and those issues are extremely rare. Probably more rare than having a heart attack because you are jogging. That is unless someone sabotage the bags.
Just like typical media, they have incomplete details without much real context.
