For a doctor to do something like this, I think life in prison is appropriate.
Nah, Dr. Raynaldo Ortiz needs the same mix. 💉
He needs a special IV of his own...
No death
That's getting off very light.
90% Of medical staff are narcissist and psychopaths so you should have commented ''what would you expect''
He should be legally sentenced to receive his own poisoned IV.
That would be too easy for him.
It will save $$$$$$$$ of taxpayers dollars.
Agree eye 4 an eye 👁
This is TERRIFYING. You are SUPPOSED to TRUST a doctor. Wow.
CORRECT!
How many doctors like this are floating out there, hiding under the radar?
This here is what scares me the most.
Too many.
Remember for last 4 years we've been told to trust the science😂😂😂😂😂 this is a good case in point of why you don't trust the science or those pushing it. They don't care about you, most likely the opposite.
A lot.
Plenty
Imagine putting so many years studying only to do this in the end.... sickening
Life in prison WITHOUT the possibility of parole! What a disgusting beast!
Och ,that hurts 😢 😂😂

This poor sweet man being interviewed. 😢 I could feel his pain in his voice.Sending you love Sir, and love to the family who almost lost their son to this monster.❤
It's so sad
I feel really bad for that guy missing his wife.
Yet he still thinks the responsibility falls on patients to “get to know their anesthesiologist” instead of calling for hospitals to enforce stricter filters on their personnel through psychological tests or doing whatever he thinks patients should be doing to “get to know” hospital staff.
@@mightytaiger3000 his late wife was an anesthesiologist, so his perspective is skewed with bias (even if it is understandable in that position)
e.t.a.: the question the reporter most likely asked was "what do you have to say to people following this" or something else vague along those lines - i doubt he was giving that answer as his actual This Will Solve The Problem answer
😢
@@mightytaiger3000 I don't think he was placing responsibility on patients, any more than he was blaming his wife for her murder. He was just giving good advice as someone who has been there.
@@jlmoses16exactly! Thank you.
How to make this real easy Judge , his sentence is death by his own tainted IV bag.
Naaaah. He should rot in prison.

@rh426....YES!!!
Motive: "The prosecution said that Ortiz's two businesses were losing money and faced even more financial trouble if he was stopped from practicing at the Baylor Scott & White Surgicare in North Dallas. Prosecutors said that Ortiz put the dangerous drugs in IV bags to try to show emergency situations happen to a lot of doctors." - greed, greed moved him to take other people's lives.
Thanks for explaining.

Wow. Sick.
Totally absurd!
Hospitals should be required to monitor how and which staff is distributed with and how much drugs…..
My dad is a surgeon. I had inquired about a zombie apocalypse about 15 years ago, and in the course of the conversation he said something along the lines of, "Just because someone has an education and intelligence doesn't mean they are a good person. Crazy how someone will go through the longest painstaking process of med school just to throw life in the trash
Psychopaths seek positions of control .
I think he is a terroríst who infiltrated the medical system. Americans are naive and refuse to believe their are people who come into this country with the intent to infiltrate systems to do harm.

According to the esteemed Dr. Robert Mendelsohn in his book "Confessions of a Medical Heretic", only a certain kind of person can make it through medical school, and it isn't their good qualities that allow them to do it.

Texas has the death penalty, why does he face a maximum of life in prison?
Two-tier justice system maybe
He wasn’t charged with murder. The woman who died administered the IV to herself at home and it couldn’t be directly tied to the defendant.

Capital punishment.
But they would call you a paranoid schizophrenic trying to explain this without video surveillance
From CBS news article:
Ortiz's motive has never been perfectly clear, but prosecutors believe he was angry he was being investigated for errors in his own surgeries. They've suggested he wanted to cause problems for other doctors, too, to make himself look better by comparison.
This is what I was looking for through all the comments
The motive
Thank you
@@oscarm.4078 You're so welcome! I was asking myself the same question and when I found it I had to share.
If that was actually his motive it makes the crimes even worse. To kill and attempt to kill even more people just to discredit other doctors for the pettiest of reasons is absolutely insane.
thank you
THANK YOU ! I was looking for this.
My heart goes out to that poor victim's husband. He showed great strength talking about his wife and the support he's received from the people he loves.

After my surgery, two days later, my breasts were soooo sore!! I felt as if I’d been assaulted!!!I know that little a hole assaulted me!!!😭😭😭My heart breaks for this man whose wife was murdered by that vile man who called himself a “doctor”
Maybe you went to cardiac arrest and they did CPR to save your life. As a RN you must know there are multiple people male and female in the OR. so all of them assaulted you?
@@dryb3301if CPR was performed on her, it would’ve been communicated. It’s possible that she was assaulted; maybe in or out of the operating room. We don’t know what happened, but it’s her testimony that she was assaulted. Let’s not downplay what we don’t know about.
I believe you. But it could also have been the hospital porter who pushed you on the gurney. Or a male nurse. You’ll never know. But I do believe someone did it.

Getting to know your anesthesiologist wouldn’t have saved any of these patients from Ortiz’s crimes.
Glad justice was served.
The guy is a pure psychopath.
No parole. No early release.
So, basically after all the millions hospitals charge US citizens, they still don’t spend a dime extra to keep them safe, but immediately set up security when THEIR profits are at risk.
Got it.
“Get to know your anesthesiologist”??
He can’t be serious.
It isn’t social hour or a moment for psychoanalysis. It is on the hospitals and the boards and regulations to keep tabs on this and filter our socios like this guy.
It isn’t the first time something like this happens. In some instances (a particular case during the early 90s) the hospital knew patients were being poisoned and they just let the guy go without any violations and he was able to even go to other countries and do the same.
The sy$tem doesn’t care about you.
Another reason I stay out of the medical system.

Yup, they charge us an arm and a leg for everything but can't have checks and balances to ensure no one is murdering their customers. Amazing.
Yep. I had to cancel a test last week because the hospital wanted money up front....money I don't have. .. ..$710, portion after insurance.....because I owe the hospital money that I am making monthly payments on.
