    Hi,
    Here is a step-by-step video showing the making of a surffoil / wingfoil board.
    Here are the dimensions of the foilboard 4'8' * 20.5 * 3.1
    The fiberglass is 4 oz and the carbon 160g. I used resin from HP-textile.de.
    The eps bread is from www.atuacores....
    You want to get started and make your foil board, I have been in this situation for a long time and it took me a while to take the plunge. Know that if I could do it, everyone can do it.
    I'm a Foil enthusiast (kitefoil, surfoil, wingfoil) and unfortunately I can't afford all the equipment so I do it myself.
    I am a self taught builder and this video shows my process of building a foilboard that works for me

    I start watching these vids with lots of enthusiasm to follow and try, and by the end am convinced it’s way too lengthy and messy a job to have time and energy to do. But kudos for doing it and putting it on RUclips.

    For me it would be the cost of the Foilboard kid + wasted hours + broken tools + new foil board from the store😂. I truely admire people with craftsmanship skills👍.

    Nice board! Too bad you didn’t shape the board yourself. That’s the most fun part!
    Make sure to check your finboxes. When drilling them to put a hole in for your router, you may have punched a small hole in the bottom of the box. I had the same with mine.. resulting in a bit of water getting in my board.

    So, considering materials price and a time you can work in some warehouse to earn extra money for the board instead of sanding, gluening, polishing, etc, how much did you lose, sir? -)

  • @twilightsparkle2697
    @twilightsparkle2697 9 месяцев назад

    2 things: the boards are laminated with carbon to make them very light compared to glass ones. You have to sand the pink coat until the carbon is visible so that it is light as it should be, this allows you to take off before the water but Do not take it out where you did not put laminate sandwich or it will be very soft there, the entire board ihave to be laminated with sandwich!. . and second, EPS boards have a screw who wears an orring to breathe because EPS has a lot of air inside and temperature differences cause them to delaminate over time. So with this respirator screw make it balance the pressure every time you take it outside. I am a professional shaper.
    finally, If you make a new board that shape is not correct, the edges with that shape do not allow it to take off well from the water and you need a lot of speed to take off, foil windsurf boards handle this concept well to take off sooner in light winds, or... sooner with aut wind .

      the rails pvc is shaped with a hot air gun and cutting the foam perpendicularly several times .and temporarily holding it with tape, the vacuum will do the rest.

    • @GregBasmati

    wow wow wow quel boulot !! une question quand tu as mis la première feuille de pvc en dessous, j'ai vu beaucoup de scotch de papier aligné là où le coin de la poupe était déjà placé quand tu as placé la feuille, dans le cadre suivant après le vide il n'y avait plus de choses ? autre chose quand tu as collé la couche de fibre + pvc dans le vide sur le pont tu n'as pas utilisé de tissu anti-adhésif; le sac n'est-il pas resté coincé dans la zone du rail ?

    • @GregBasmati
      @GregBasmati  Год назад

      Le scotch est là pour éviter au PVC de casser quand tu le pli pour épouser la forme ( en l'occurrence ici le kicktail).
      Et je n'ai pas eu de soucis pour le retrait de la bache, ça se décolle facilement
