Pool Workout for Weight Loss

  • Join me for 30 min of fun and dynamic cardio pool workout.
    Burn calories, strengthen your whole body and feel good!
    You can use the webbed gloves for extra resistance, but it is possible to do this class without using it.
    So jump into the water and... Let's go!
    How many calories you'll burn? a question that repeats a lot here...
    Number of calories burned in (any) workout is very much depends on your body composition, your fitness level and how you perform the movements. It is individual to each person and therefore it's hard to tell exactly how many calories you burn. HOWEVER, aqua aerobic workouts like this have the potential to burn a lot of calories (a few hundreds). Make sure to do your best when performing your aqua workout ... use powerful movements, push hard against the water with your arms and legs and don't forget to use your core muscles ;) I would also recommend wearing shoes to give you a good traction and better leverage when pushing off the pool bottom.

    I have gone from 210lbs to 185lbs in 9 weeks doing pool workouts 3 days a week and using whole foods plant based diet with intermittent fasting 12 to 18 hrs a night. I work out on an empty stomach. I'm 62 with RA and CKD stage 3. If I can do it anyone can. 😊

    This was the best water workout for me! I lost 20 pounds in 2 months by doing this workout and your arm and ab out. I have bad knees and it's hot in Texas, so I needed a workout that didn't put a lot of strain on my knees and it was COOL while I exercised. I did this workout 4 days out of the week and I didn't do any fad diet, I just started paying attention to what I ate. I just saw the new one with the noodle, I can't wait to try it!

    This is the same workout my old teacher used to do i had most of them down packed but a few i had forgot this is the best workout plan because the new teacher does zumba and she do not do good at all teaching so i do my own workouts remember these from the good teacher we ones had

    I really like your presentation and explanation of each exercise. Suggestion: add an option for holding on to the pool edge for some exercises, for those who are having balance issues in the pool. Thank you for your wonderful videos!

    Excellent workout. Definitely don’t need to actually touch the ankles for the ankle-Touch moves. A lot of people have bad backs and knees but the basic movement can be done safely. Also, I love your Roxy rash guard.!!

    So happy I found you! I was just looking for regular swimming workouts. I really need to lose weight. And I've been having major calf pain while walking so swimming is the best option.
    I'm wondering how many calories do you lose with this workout?
    Also do I do laps after / before this?
    Does this workout accumulate to doing laps in the pool?

    Can you use water weights instead of the gloves?

    Dumb question: Do people just follow along on their phones? If so, how do you set up your phone? What about speakers? Does it disturb other around you? Want to try this in the pool in my apartment complex.

      I just use my towel to prop my phone up and try and work out close enough to hear it. But mainly I'm relying on seeing what she's doing because my hearing isn't that great. I love this work out! Good luck

      Hi Lisa, give yourself enough time to perform each exercise, no rush…. you can follow up with me on the video or if you perform by yourself do about 20-30 reps or around 30-60 sec to each move. Enjoy 😉

      You can try with your knees bent to keep yourself more submerged in the water 💦

    What do you suggest to increase heart rate? Hand weights?

      Hi Mona, the gloves will give you a good resistance to work harder and therefore increase your heart rate. Also work in full range of motion and push harder against the water. Enjoy ;)

      No need for ankle weights. I would recommend wearing water shoes for better traction and some stability :)
