I'm currently doing a legacy challenge and Knox was the father of the second generation. Because of the neighborhood action plans, he kept coming into my house and stealing from me so I had him and my founding sim have a super big and dramatic breakup. I still think about that every time I see him
Knox was the father in mine as well! He ended up getting Jade Rose from Get To Together pregnant so they got married BUT I needed some drama -- so he's poly & also got with Candy Behr. All 3 lived in the house together with their 4 kids in total but Jada decided she wasn't for the poly lifestyle & just married her old friend, Paolo.
Once I was playing in Port Promise and the Greenburgs kept breaking into my Sim's house to water his plants and drink his water, but it didn't seem to be caused by a neighbourhood action plan.

Here's an unconventional way to get money. Have a spellcaster set stuff on fire, get the insurance money and repair your stuff with magic. Can Stanley get rich from it? Yes. Can Stanley set himself on fire while doing this? Yes. I know Kayla is not into supernaturals, but her toilet choices make me think she might enjoy this. So, can you get rich from cheating the system in the sims 4?
A few things for your consideration: 1. Why don't you use selling tables when its something small like candles? You can mark it up and make it worth more 2. If you turn on the radio instead of listen to; they will listen to it regardless while doing something else 3. They are dazed because of a juiced community 4. Free love is always best for rags to riches bevause you can woohoo without actually ruining marriages if thats more fun (i like ruining their relationships lol)
I tried that once, after I built the mischief skill for a while, I was able to make a decent living from stealing from the rich people (the landgraabs, the goths, the spencer-kim-lewises, etc)

Seasons is one everybody should eventually get in any case. The world feels so...it's like you're stuck in a time loop or a fake dome-world or something, when the environment never changes! Also Seasons and Eco Lifestyle both have to do with nature stuff, so they go together well. :)
What if you use the "Attic Stack Decoration Box" from the Sims 4 Seasons pack to get rich? There's an option to shuffle for decorations depending on the season and I think it would be fun idea!

Eco Lifestyle is genuinely my favorite pack (I like Cats and Dogs for the pets too, but items/gameplay wise it's meh) and I feel like it's unappreciated, I hope people give it a try with the trial. I use the items in every single modern build I do.
Oh yeah...I got it mainly for the gameplay and the fixing old objects, etc. but when I tried the "Every Room is a Different Pack" challenge? Eco Lifestyle was the only one where I didn't have to supplement with basegame AT ALL. Every. single. item. If you make a few candles and buy yourself one of these tables where you can sell things, you could actually make a lot of money. I actually played with Nox and got him to fall in love with one of the locals, unfortunately that man cheated on Nox so I decided why not break up and start something new? I decided to put some hardships in his lots, specifically the hunted one. At first he was so scared and sad that I couldn't do anything but as time passed by he fall in love with one of the ghosts and I decided that both should be happy despite the "scared" part xD I guess Nox had a really good life because he got "someone" beside him and achieve his dream! :D As for Stanley, poor boy he has been having a really long life xD
I would love to be Stanley be a socialite. Rags to riches just from hosting fabulous events, no fishing, no foraging (wouldn't be caught dead ruining his hands that way!), just start taking sims on dates and selling the rewards. How much of a house can you build just from event rewards anyway? Maybe not much, but I'd be interested to find out. Maybe for extra challenge he can only go on one date with each person, or only be allowed to repeat an event type after cycling through all of them. I don't know.
the headphones in the sims are my favorite fun items because sims can do most tasks while listening to it. i never sell them whenever i receive it from neighbors and sometimes i buy a pair for each sim in the house lol. its somehow a pretty good investment for me especially for these challenges

My husband picked up sims for the first time the other day. I have been playing it since sims busting out came out. My favourite challenge in Sims 4 is rags to riches so he decided to do that one. He died both times but he was making pretty good money programming!
Turn the radio on, do not "listen to radio" Just have it playing right next to or above Stanley. He gets his fun up by it playing in the background. Edit to add: I use this method when having kids do homework/ projects.
My Christmas present pile glitched and my sims could just keep on opening presents automatically without me adding anymore gifts. They were getting 4k tvs and 7k paintings I had to put the tree in the family inventory in the end
tbh I struggle to understand the point of the fabrication skill lol The stuff you fabricate should be covered by the handiness skill and made at the work bench, or the reverse should happen and the work bench stuff be covered under fabrication, and candle making should be its own skill. Hopefully if they refresh this pack later, candle making can be its own thing.

I'm actually trying to play lots of EcoL for my legacy and one thing I hate is that the freelancer career is still bugged - can't send fabricated stuff to clients and send the gig. But it's sooo good to know that simply selling the candles is still a relatively good way to earn! I just hope Eco L helps Sims team fix some bugs that exist for years now ;x;

I know simsie didn't have the other packs installed, but Plopsy is a great way to make money from candles as is running a store.
She has them but uses a second set up with just base game and she adds in things to test for example

the headphones in the sims are my favorite fun items because sims can do most tasks while listening to it. i never sell them whenever i receive it from neighbors and sometimes i buy a pair for each sim in the house lol. its somehow a pretty good investment for me especially for these challenges

In my experience, yes! As long as you dive for dye and grow your own beans they're very lucrative on plopsy and the selling tables.

I wonder if you can get rich quick with making fuel, flour, and food from bugs. Also the meat wall is Eco Lifestyle too. You can see if you can make money selling them on the selling table.

My husband picked up sims for the first time the other day. I have been playing it since sims busting out came out. My favourite challenge in Sims 4 is rags to riches so he decided to do that one. He died both times but he was making pretty good money programming!
Turn the radio on, do not "listen to radio" Just have it playing right next to or above Stanley. He gets his fun up by it playing in the background.
Edit to add: I use this method when having kids do homework/ projects.
Do can you get rich quick from the Christmas tree and present pile. You can endlessly add presents then sell what you get 👀
My Christmas present pile glitched and my sims could just keep on opening presents automatically without me adding anymore gifts. They were getting 4k tvs and 7k paintings I had to put the tree in the family inventory in the end
tbh I struggle to understand the point of the fabrication skill lol The stuff you fabricate should be covered by the handiness skill and made at the work bench, or the reverse should happen and the work bench stuff be covered under fabrication, and candle making should be its own skill. Hopefully if they refresh this pack later, candle making can be its own thing.
I downloaded the trial first thing I did was got Stanley and began the rags to riches dumpster diving, i think I’ll try to get a mansion in the time that I have the pack for lol

The houndstooth dye can be used on the cylindrical candle, and probably the rectangular one.
I'm actually trying to play lots of EcoL for my legacy and one thing I hate is that the freelancer career is still bugged - can't send fabricated stuff to clients and send the gig. But it's sooo good to know that simply selling the candles is still a relatively good way to earn! I just hope Eco L helps Sims team fix some bugs that exist for years now ;x;
