Hello, thank you very much for sharing your knowledge, it is very illustrative, please can you help me, I have a Malibu 2013 2.5lts automatic, it gives me the P0700 generic error from the box almost a year ago it started to fail and just by isolating it or I taped the connector that goes to the box and for about 6 months it did not give me any problems, suddenly the box started to have problems, you accelerate and the engine does not respond or it makes changes out of time, I saw that the cable that goes to the chassis The motor had an intermittence, I checked it with the multimeter, I put a new ground cable from the motor to the chassis or battery, it worked correctly for a week and one day in the morning it started to fail, please can you help me or guide me to fix it and taking advantage of it, you can tell me where the second battery that the car has is to know its location. Thank you very much in advance and greetings from Mexico
@ramsesar2289 it sounds like you have a wiring issue, I recommend you take it to a pro mechanic who can diagnose it for you, the auxiliary battery is in the trunk, check it's connections!
Did the new DBCM need to be reprogrammed? Or just replace and when you start it will reset it?
Mike McKee No. it doesn't need to be reprogrammed, just plug and play!!

Richard Rosa Oh really! I hope this video was helpful
Teaching people the reason for voltage drop is one the best electrical test they can use, It's great. Plus, use dielectric grease on clean connectors and fuses protects them from moisture and oxidation over time is a great practice. You can buy it at home improvement stores for $6 Joe 2022 money as well as parts stores sell the same brand, size for $9-$11. (Sorry for misspellings or missing words as 6'3" big fingers on little phone. Who designed this?)
DK. ASE Master Tech since 78.
Dean Kay Thanks for your input I appreciate it!
@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair I hate the idea of "Stop - Start" tech as a guy who grew up during a time, we rebuilt everything. 4 banger stops, wears at two spots on the flex plate, then starter wear. Oh, the add a 960CCA battery, come on! Motorcycle battery in trunk. All for what, an extra 0.28 higher MPG.
Unlike trucks, if I still had access again to dealer schematics, I would find the ground input, like trucks, to abort off / re-start request. This is my wife's car and it took 40+ to teach her to listen to odd noises. Loud stereos sells lots of parts!
DK, ASE master, retired.
@@deankay4434 Lol! Gotcha! they say that system is good for emission control and fuel economy!
I have a code of P305F on chevy malibu 2015 and I changed the front battery and the auxiliary battery in the back. And the code went a away for a while and came back on I don’t know if it’s the dual battery control module that needs to be replaced what do you think? And now all of a sudden I got a battery saver active light that came on and the next day a new code came on and it’s a P058D. (Battery monitor module voltage monitoring performance) so now I have both codes any reason why you think I have these codes? and by the way I the change the alternator 2 times thinking that was the reason my battery not staying charged. So not sure what I should do. And now every time I turn my car on it says service vehicle soon. Please help
GuttaRicanGaming your battery module could be going bad, check the battery wires and make sure there is no voltage drops, and also check the power wire and ground wire at the battery module...
Hey Man. I’m having a similar issue with my 2015 Malibu. I have power when key is turned on. The engine just barely turns over like batt is low. Bat has plenty of juice. Do you have to do any programming at all after installation or is it plug n play?
