Can a bad auxiliary battery cause the car to not start?

Is this why the remote start might not work?

Yes also a check engine would cause remote start to not work

In my 2015 Chevy Impala the remote start won't work at all if there's a code making the check engine light come on. My 2010 Impala would still start with the remote start, but once it detected a fault via throwing a code it would cancel the remote start and shut down the engine.

@@casperhayden8286yes I figured it out. The 175 amp fuse for my Malibu was blown and needed to be replaced.

It may be in Limp Mode, which will need a scan for error codes to know why.
