You are in the same boat as the mechanic (Rainman Ray's Repair) used to be. He also worked for a shop, got fed up with being used or mistreated, and set up his own shop. He kept his RUclips channel, and his own shop/channel is doing very well. I think you're making a great move, and I wish you all the best in your new shop!
Thats exactly who came to my mind also. He turned his firing into a blessing, since the industry management treats their techs like shit. No wonder people are quitting. Im starting to think having your own gig is the only way to go from now on.
@@isorozco511never ending cycle 🔁. He’s going to open his own shop and hire other people who’ll quit also and their own business also so it’s not about management what what.
The man never said once that he was mistreated at the shop he is leaving. Also unlike Ray, he didn't get fired. It sounds like he is leaving on great terms with a company that supports him fully! I don't know where you and some other people got something different out of what he said. Good luck to you Dee, I'm sure your next chapter will be awesome! I 👌🏼👍🏼🙏🏼

@astrogate1 Thank you! I appreciate you, Thanks for Sharing Rainman Ray's Repair Story, I watch his videos but I didn't know his story, he does great work! unlike his Story, I didn't get fired I quit, I had been preparing my Team in the shop for the past 2 years and I made it clear to everyone at this company that I was gonna leave this year! The time to start my own Shop Came and I Jumped, I wasn't mistreated, in fact I might keep working with Calleva as a Contractor to maintain their fleet of vehicles!!

The hardest part of having a RUclips channel and working in the shop is finding time to do things the way you want on the channel. Lots of hours. But very rewarding. But it seems like you are on the right path and will do great! Best of luck to you!
It’s great to hear your story about growing up in a shop working on cars. Opening your own shop based on your training and certifications will bring success. Its nice to hear your employer treated you well. I look forward to videos from your new location.
Thank you for all the great content you had posted, looking forward to viewing more great videos as soon as you get settled in your own place soon, God Bless 😇

Thank you again for giving not only me but your entire audience courage to do what they feel is right and change our lives.

Best of luck with the new shop Kit. I would bring my auto's to you any time but I'm on the west coast. Your video's bailed my out 3 or 4 times especially with our Winnebago RV. We'll keep following you from here in California. Oh BTW...your French is perfect. It sounded just like English to me. Good luck man.
Am proud of your exploits my brother, your passion is amazing I learn loads of techniques from your videos. Am an automotive electrician and I get encouraged by your craft.
Good Luck Deo! I look forward to continue watching you evolve. Working for myself was the best thing I did back in the day. Ups and downs and dealing with people is hard some days but being patient and taking deep breaths on those tough days will help ..
I worked at a shop for a long time then one day the shop owner said you should open your shop, So i did and my son worked for me and we loved it. So go for it.
I always had my kids and others with me in my shop. Many of them grew up to be fabricators or engineers. It was definitely worth it. You’ll be awesome in this new job!
Great move! You have a lot of experience and solid knowledge of mechanical and electronics to open your own shop. You just need courage to adjust on whatever situation comes your way.
I have been a subscriber of your channel for a long time and have watched and cataloged most of your videos into my own library and I consider you the SPRINTER GURU. I cannot wait to see what is in the future of your channel Brother and I only wish you the best in your new shop.
I really love your passion and humbleness my brother.. Your journey to becoming who you want to be didn’t start today! Your principles gratitude and hard work is paying off.. Always remember that a thousand miles start with a single step… My friend and my brother your journey starts right now… May GOD bless you in all your ways, and never forget that he is the one who making you smile……
No worries; you've got great character, abilities, knowledge. The sky is the limit. If u do start hiring, caution! Do not allow anyone on your team who does not have your best interest at heart. Team members only with same work ethic and honesty.
Calleva is where i got my "introduction" to diesel mechanics. Dacades ago. Awesome people. I have been in the field as a professional for last 12 yrs. Love it. Im sure you will have much success!!! You got this!!!
I'm honestly not sure! I did not work in the shop. I was in the river with the camp mostly. Probably "Flash" I remember lots of Times looking over Finnius's shoulder fixing a tractor or skidder. Matt was super into the Waste Vegetable Oil. I eventually got a One ton Suburban I ran WVO in it with much success. Plethora of good memories. I admire your courage branching off and starting your own business for a place for your kids to learn too. That will be awesome.
A good human being makes a great shop. I think you are a good human being and your reason for a shop is actually meaningful. But realistically......your shop WILL have comebacks. Its what you do to the customer on that comeback, that makes the difference.

@jaimerico1682 Thank you My Friend! I'm glad to hear that the videos have been helpful! Thanks for being here!
That seemed like a long crank on the 7.3. I know on the 6.0, that is a symptom of low-pressure oil problems. What causes it on the 7.3?
@flyingjeff1956 Oil Low can cause long crank on a 7.3L too!
No worries; you've got great character, abilities, knowledge. The sky is the limit. If u do start hiring, caution! Do not allow anyone on your team who does not have your best interest at heart. Team members only with same work ethic and honesty.
@Franklinveterinarycenter1of4 Thank you, Great advice, I appreciate it
Calleva is where i got my "introduction" to diesel mechanics. Dacades ago. Awesome people. I have been in the field as a professional for last 12 yrs. Love it. Im sure you will have much success!!! You got this!!!
@alexgoldstein7997 Thank you! that's good to know that you worked at calleva in the past, Who was your shop manager when you worked at Calleva?
I'm honestly not sure! I did not work in the shop. I was in the river with the camp mostly. Probably "Flash" I remember lots of Times looking over Finnius's shoulder fixing a tractor or skidder. Matt was super into the Waste Vegetable Oil. I eventually got a One ton Suburban I ran WVO in it with much success. Plethora of good memories. I admire your courage branching off and starting your own business for a place for your kids to learn too. That will be awesome.
You will be more than alright my friend. You are a great human and I bless you brother on your new projects!!
@OP-ik7qb Amen! Thank you! I appreciate it!
great video, best of luck, your hard work and positive disposition seems to be paying off!
@macclark5188 Thank you very much! I appreciate you!
A good human being makes a great shop.
I think you are a good human being and your reason for a shop is actually meaningful.
But realistically......your shop WILL have comebacks. Its what you do to the customer on that comeback, that makes the difference.
@user-fc9iq6le2g Thank you! I appreciate it!
Congratulations Mr. Kitoko! KIT'S Auto and Truck Repair will be successful. I am excited for you, your family and your team. I am glad you will keep the channel going, and I look forward to seeing and learning from the diagnosis and repairs you and your team will perform. God bless.

Wish I lived in Maryland...I tend to hold on to my vehicles and would love to have you maintain them. All the best to you and know that your shop will be a blessing to many.
