That was a fun afternoon! So nice to see this get concluded after being cancelled earlier this past summer. That 392 is no joke and Xavier knows how to launch it! We also took some great photos that day, sunset to the east and full moon rise to the east. Good times.
0-60 4.5-5 sec. this guys not getting good launches at all. I got 4.9sec pb on stock all seasons in winter... either way tho that merc is fast a good launch should have been much closer at start

Thats actually an older C43 that has 360 hp not the 385. If you look at the front bumper you can easily tell. The facelifted ones are the ones that have 385hp and 385lb-ft torque which is the same torque . They have a retuned transmission, bigger turbos, retuned engine, and retuned suspension. It would definitely make for a closer race. Not to mention better interior but thats just looks

The c43 is very good in manual mode in fact it's one of the most fun cars to drive in manual mode. If you don't have experience driving it in manual and you failed to shift on time please don't blame the transmission as the transmission has nothing to do with driver skills

Been here, stock for stock, the C43 may jump the launch due to AWD but the 392 will close the gap and walk it. Stock 392 should reach 100mph in a touch over 9 sec with a good launch and at least with summer tires. That's what might not be happening here depending on mods or the state of the SP's tires.
Stock 392 would hit 100mph over 10 seconds. A tuned scatpack 1320 hits 100mph in 9.2 seconds. Usually a scatpack gets you in the launch, but the AWD helped the C43 in the beginning but slowed it down also in higher speeds.
C43 is great from a stop. It's also not limited when modded since that AWD can handle a lot more power. Modding a RWD just means more loss of traction from a stop. I get the fun in a car with a lot of horsepower but it sucks to lose from a stop and it's pretty much illegal even on the highway the moment you can pass lol

I am pleasantly surprised by the performance of the scat pack the c43 is such a good platform, i've reviewed some of the tuning options and WOW what a huge torque figure. I used to drive an n54 335i and while it was great, it was expensive to keep on the road ( i never skimped on service). I moved to a manual ats-v after spending a ton of money trying to keep that n54 solid.... almost think i shoulda gone for a c43 looking at its potential.
How do you like the ats-v manual? Really wanted one pre-covid but settled for a 10th gen si and installing a short block atm. Those ats-v are hard to come by in a manual.
I had my 2019 c43 professionally tuned (throwing down 540ft-lbs of torque at wheels now) and at the drag strip I regularly beat Hellcats with street tires unless they manage a miraculous launch. The tune helped the top end power by a wide margin and can steadily click off 12s quarter mile runs all day..

Been 4+ years now of problem free driving. Brentuning in Acton, MA did it. And I have Dynos to prove the numbers before and after. They go by BT garage, I’ve had 3 cars tuned by them including 2 WRXs I’ve had previously, people drive from all over the US to go to them, luckily they are an hr away from me
Lol there's nothing wrong with the transmission in the mercedes. When you have it in manual mode and run it to redline and don't shift soon enough it cuts the power for half a second. I've seen lots of people do this on RUclips lol. They blame it on the transmission when it's actually driver error. No offense just saying.

Great video! Yes the Charger Scat Pack Daytona is a beast I should know I have the same car 🚗 and color! The Charger 392 is not good on ⛽️ I get 20.5 per gallon on the highway however the drive n the V8 roar is amazing every time🙂💪👍

Nitto ( or M/T ) Drag Radials 305/35-20 with a 1/4" spacers is what i did with my Challenger Scat Pack and made a huge diff on the street 0-60 mph went from 4.9 to 4.2 on the same street ! 1/4 mile 12.8 to 12.2 secs!
Damn dude.. My 19 Widebody Challenger went from 4.5 to 3.7 when I was stock. 3.5-3.6 after 93 tune. Drag radials are the first thing these scats need. Spinning ain’t winning 😁

As expected, throw some basic mods on the c43 such as down pipes/ tune/ e85 and it’ll be a completely different race. Turbos cars just make power so easily
If you do headers, cold air intake, catback exhaust, and a tune. (Maybe even bigger and ported throttle body) you can definitely squeeze 500+hp out of a scat pack. Plus strut tower braces will that chassis stiffen around corners as well
As a C 43 AMG owner in order to compete with a scat pack you will need a stage two catless down pipes and cold intake because I’ll beat them all the time with that same set up.

Also going catless is stupid and is reserved for guys who dont care about stinking up the streets, just so that they can save some money and get very little hp in return.
Hate to say it Sam, but you should either do the homework on the car you are driving or have someone else available to drive it properly. Any knowledgeable C43 owner knows to leave the car in auto mode, fully turn off traction control, and then brake boost the car to 1800-2200 RPM before launching. You easily gave up .3 to .5 seconds for the quarter. From a roll that's another story entirely, as horsepower almost always wins. Throw on a $800 tuner and it becomes another story all-together. The front bumper on that C43 tells me it was a pre-facelift model with 367HP not the 385HP of 2019 and up models.

For the power they make on paper, 392 Chargers and Challengers are not very impressive on the street. They’re heavy and can’t hook up very well. I gap them bad in my E55.
Seeing videos like this makes me miss my hellcat charger at times but I got tired of getting gapped by supercharged 5.0’s and supercharged Camaros so I ended up trading the kitty for a 2018 10 speed 5.0 on twin turbos. The 5.0 might be way faster but my old hellcat charger was super spacious and comfortable

They have made awd 5.7s if u boost one of those you'll have a beast they're 4300 lbs by the way if u take out the seats and lighter wheels and racing battery your looking at 3900lbs
6.4L NA vs 3.0L Turbo will always play out this way with enough road. The C43 AWD system is better from a stop, but the massive engine will eventually erode the gains from AWD and pull away.

Horsepower is not the only factor looked at. Other things to consider: cost, weight, car availability, etc. To me this race makes great sense as they're similarly priced so if someone was cross shopping they might wonder how they perform.
I wonder how it would be V8 vs V8, throw a C63S or better yet to match the weight of the scat a E63S. Pretty good race though especially for a lil 6 banger!
Track mode wouldn’t make that big of a difference lol the modes don’t add horsepower just changes how the car drives not even a difference in straight line
@@Ryder1K I have it in mine. Huge difference. It boosts the top speed from 155 to 170. It also tightens up league shift even more aggressive than sport plus. It also adds the ability to use launch control at 4k rpm Which is the biggest help of all. I haven't lost to a skat pack yet. I did lose to an s r t jeep though🤣

As a C 43 AMG owner in order to compete with a scat pack you will need a stage two catless down pipes and cold intake because I’ll beat them all the time with that same set up.

@@CanadianMax He meant a Stage 2 tune and a catless downpipe. Which I would argue based on the 1/4 mile races a simple stage 1 and possible intake would take it. Also going catless is stupid and is reserved for guys who dont care about stinking up the streets, just so that they can save some money and get very little hp in return.
A stage 1 tune alone, or a JB4 on map 2 or 3 would be all it would take. You should be running 11's at that point.

Hate to say it Sam, but you should either do the homework on the car you are driving or have someone else available to drive it properly. Any knowledgeable C43 owner knows to leave the car in auto mode, fully turn off traction control, and then brake boost the car to 1800-2200 RPM before launching. You easily gave up .3 to .5 seconds for the quarter. From a roll that's another story entirely, as horsepower almost always wins. Throw on a $800 tuner and it becomes another story all-together. The front bumper on that C43 tells me it was a pre-facelift model with 367HP not the 385HP of 2019 and up models.
And then he misses 2 manual upshifts and blames the amazing transmission🤦🏽♂️

Pretty surprising result considering the C43 AMG has an over 500lb weight advantage plus awd. I thought it would have at least won in a dig race.

That c43 with a jb4 will trap 118 in the quarter which is 3-4 mph faster than a scat pack
I think the c43’s are underrated, I’ve seen some on trapping over 125mph on stock turbos

The highest top speed on a c43 with jb4 I've seen is 114 which puts it on par with the scat
@@Runescapian0wner With a JB4, on map 2 or 3, they can definitely run 118. A well tuned map 6, with no other mods, usually runs in the 120's, at 11.4-11.5.
This is a good one. I think the Merc takes it due to the weight difference .... Especially off the line...
For the power they make on paper, 392 Chargers and Challengers are not very impressive on the street. They’re heavy and can’t hook up very well.
I gap them bad in my E55.

Seeing videos like this makes me miss my hellcat charger at times but I got tired of getting gapped by supercharged 5.0’s and supercharged Camaros so I ended up trading the kitty for a 2018 10 speed 5.0 on twin turbos. The 5.0 might be way faster but my old hellcat charger was super spacious and comfortable
Yeah, ik I'm not the fastest thing around but this car hits all the right notes for me, my lifestyle etc. And so will the hellcat :)

6.4L NA vs 3.0L Turbo will always play out this way with enough road. The C43 AWD system is better from a stop, but the massive engine will eventually erode the gains from AWD and pull away.

Stock the ss is fastest, tuned the mustang gt is the fastest

If all 3 cars are stock, and on good tires (I.e.drag radials). Scatpack has fastest 1/4 mile times. It’s a toss up for 2nd and 3rd place.

This race makes no sense. Why not race against the C63 where the horsepower figures are more closely matched??
Horsepower is not the only factor looked at. Other things to consider: cost, weight, car availability, etc.
To me this race makes great sense as they're similarly priced so if someone was cross shopping they might wonder how they perform.

Amg makes a track mode beyond sport +. It would be interesting how it would go if that amg had it to evenly pair up with scat packs track mode
Track mode wouldn’t make that big of a difference lol the modes don’t add horsepower just changes how the car drives not even a difference in straight line
@@Ryder1K I have it in mine. Huge difference. It boosts the top speed from 155 to 170. It also tightens up league shift even more aggressive than sport plus. It also adds the ability to use launch control at 4k rpm Which is the biggest help of all. I haven't lost to a skat pack yet. I did lose to an s r t jeep though🤣
