Brilliant. No sarcasm. The commenters who have a problem with this should get a life. Lasers against aircraft present a real danger. So, to hell with all of you. Unless you fly, which you don't, you have no idea how dangerous this is. Go get in your cars and yak on your phones and text on your phones all about it.
Ray Remen it's so dangerous that the laser can't even be shined in the window for more than a tenth of a second it's not even long enough to do anything. Just face it man it's more blinding driving a car when someone shines bright lights at you. There has never been any plane crashes or problems
@@strnglhld I have done research have not found one plane crash or seen one medical exam idioso. If you think you can hold a laser light right in a person's eyes a thousand feet up moving at 200 ish mph you are quite dume
You wouldn't shine it into the face of someone right next to you. Why would you do this to aircraft? Because you've been told not to? What the fuck is wrong with people?
Some of these comments are so bad. I didn't have to learn or be taught that you shouldn't shine a laser at an aircraft. It was kinda just common sense. And we all know only a few of us common sensors are left!
A parte de que los Oficiales están exponiendo la vida, tienen que aguantarse a un idiota con un puntero. Muy bien que lo arresten y que sirve de ejemplo que la ley es para respetar y cualquier persona en este mundo.
I don't own a laser pointer and, if I did, I would never point one at an aircraft, but ... there are an average of 6,000 laser pointing at aircraft per year. 0 accidents. Look it up. Pilots are important people doing something and get quite insulted when bothered. Pissy, even. Keep safe and don't point lasers at aircraft!
@@strnglhld But, but, but ... it's never happened. The FAA reported a record 9,723 incidents reported in 2021. You wanna guess how many caused a crash? Zilch. OTOH there were 11 people killed by lightning in the US. A record low year.
You sound disappointed . Most laser pointing happens at takeoff and landing at airports. It causes temporary blindness ,something I'm guessing most people don't want their pilots to have when taking off or landing as sight is very important at those times. In flight the laser glares out the aircraft windows . Though most instances happens at takeoff or landing, they just made the law to cover anytime .
@@CraigGrant-sh3in Well, amazing Kreskin, where exactly did I sound disappointed? No damn where - that's where. A year later and how many planes have gone down due to laser pointing? I'll be damned ... uh, zero. That was, and is, my point.
It was one of the stupid moments that EVERY one has. The guy didn't know the magnitude of what he was doing. He was probably like, "let me see if this reaches the plane" type of thing. He obviously wouldn't even have thought of doing such a thing he knew what would happen. They're just going to make an example of him for the sake of letting the residents of Santa Ana know that they should NECER Point a laser
No, they're not making an example of him. They're arresting him for blinding the pilot of a rotor-wing aircraft with a laser. I won't even bother to ask how you would feel or react in the same situation, because you're probably a bad driver and certainly don't have a pilot's license of any sort. Except maybe "acid pilot."
There is a true danger in doing that. I agree that he probably didn't think about it at the time but that is no excuse. He should be an example that way people are not killed.
It's a federal law. Local PD might not be handling it .This involves the FAA . The feds may take the case. You give the guy way too much credit that if he knew ...... I'm putting my money on that if he knew which he could clearly see he was reaching the helicopter and yet, still continued doing it .
It's neat how the engine bay and brakes of the car glows bright. I'm fascinated by how the heat of the engine radiates through the hood.
The exhaust looks like under glow too cool af
The guy knew whathe was doing, knew it was wrong - enjoy 60% of a year in OC County. If no priors it'll be probation. What arolemodel for his kid.
Such bad grammar and spelling, but I got every bit of your message. Cheers.
Trying to use the kid to not get arrested... Hope they contacted childprotecting service. Teaching the kid to be a criminal.. aweful human

here in chile people think it's funny to use it against the police helicopters .. i really hate to live in this place..

That's what happens when an idiot shines a laser on a police helicopter.
Shining a laser at a police helicopter and you'd be aswell holding up a big LED sign saying "arrest me"
That zoom is impressive.
Imagine getting bored, so you try to kill two people
8:26 they try to play it all cool and kick around the ball... Too bad its all on tape and they are in huge trouble now!!

Because the aircraft is way off and they think they won't be caught
5:10 is where he buried it
yepp you can see him bury it
“I killed a man… so, what are you in for?”
“I shone a laser at a police helicopter….”

GTA... Wtf
The guy handed the off the laser to the kid.
I think he stashed it when he bent over right before leaving the park.
7:27 he passes the laser off to the kid with the ball.
In front of his kid too. God
I couldn't tell who had the laser
Wasn't that hard to figure out
