@@KnottingHookCrochet I'm working on a blanket a little larger than queen size bed, that's going to look like the Dallas cowboy football field, most of it is in a loop stitch. so I have made a much larger start for the center field. the star is all that is not loop stitch. I used one of these two videos to make the star:

Ok now I’m not usually a commenter but I’ve been trying to do a Star for a while and watched plenty of videos but they all turn out funky, I’ll so glad you should use the whole thing and not just some and telling us to do the rest of the round ourselves, my Star turned out so much better and definitely cleaner then my others, I’m subscribing

Mine had a lump--a spot that was trying to be a fifth corner. I mashed it down and after being covered with two rows of single crochet, it's hardly visible.
