    for anyone saying this isnt slow, or not beginner friendly, she never said it was. Just pause it, play it back, take your time, frog it, Its a super cute bag, its a fun project, Crochet is meant to be fun. I find this an awesome video, well explained, and i love how close it is to your hands. I have trouble seeing, and it being so close was VERY helpful. Thankyou. It made making this very easy and fun.

    This was a super fun pattern! Thank you for making it freely available!
    I used a striped brown yarn for my main color, and I also coincidentally used leaf green for my accent! I think an ombre/color changing yarn is so fun for this project. I used about 85g of yarn for the main color, so an entire small skein. A lot less than I initially anticipated!

    • @KnottingHookCrochet
      @KnottingHookCrochet  Год назад +8

      For this project I used my Bella Coco Athena hooks, but I don't recommend them for the stuffies. You best option that I know of for hooks on the stuffies is the Clover Amour Hooks, the head of the hook is shaped more narrow and slides into the stitch much easier.

Did it in rows of single crochet then added a surface stitch slip stich to help with strap stretching. Plus it gives a decorative stripe.

    I have a question. At 11:12 you say to repeat the previous steps-which is 4 double crochets-until I have my desired size, but I counted at 13:30 about 10 double crochets. I believe that is your 8th round using your leaf green yarn. I assume each round has an ascending amount of double crochets. Exactly how many double crochets does it ascend each round?

      1 on each side going up and going down

      @@KnottingHookCrochetThank you for replying. To make sure I understand I want to ask another question. After the 4 double crochet, in the next round I would do 5 double crochets?

      @KnottingHookCrochet  Год назад +2

      Lets see does this make more sense the first round had 3 on each side that includes the 2DCTOG, next round has 5 including the 2DCTOG, then 7, 9, 11, 13 and so on. if you don't count the 2DCTOG it is 2, 4, 6, 8, etc. My bad for saying the wrong thing in my first reply.

      @@KnottingHookCrochetI completely understand now! Thank you so much for patiently answering my questions. This tutorial was much more detailed than all the other ones I have seen. I can’t wait to get started on my tote bag!

    Is it possible to sew some fabric inside to make it more "waterproof"? How would it be done? (Love the tutorial)

      sure why not. I would sew them to the stars before putting it together or at least cut the shapes first.

    Where the turtorial for the strap?!

    • @KnottingHookCrochet
      @KnottingHookCrochet  Год назад

      The strap is just rows of single crochet with slip-stitch top stitching if you go to around the 15 min mark that is where I talk about the straps.

      Use a stitch marker to help find the beginning and ending stitch

      I don't know exact yardage, I had one full skein of each color (360yards each) and had a lot left over.

    When attaching the straps do I just single crochet into the space once when I get to the corners?

      1 of each color is plenty (at least 200 yard of each color)

      It will stretch some. If you add a lining that will prevent the stretching.
