I'm making my daughter a second crochet blanet, but the first one for her made of granny squares. I sent her pictures of at least 30 granny squares, and out of all of them she thought yours was the prettiest. Thanks, this was fun and easy to follow! I used weight 4 yarn (Big Twist Value) with a 4.5mm, if you use her border directions it turns out to be 5 in. (W/o last round) I needed to make it 4 in. so I did 2 dc + 1 ch + 2dc for corners, then dc, hdc, sc in next 5 stitches, hdc, dc, corner again. (W/o last round)
For people that keep making pentagons, make sure you do the 3 single crochets on the first round of the border, otherwise you just continue to follow the shape of the star rather than the square shape we want
