    Note to new crocheters: this isn't the only way to do this. If you're looking to have both sides be good, use the bobbin method . Essentially this is where you attach a new skein/cake of color on eahc "section" that way you don't have to "float" your yarn. You'll end up with multiple balls of one color while doing so. You could also if you want to do the bobbin method but instead of attaching a new bobbin, you cut the end of the skein off and continue using the same skein but this way means more ends to sew in when you're done

    If you use a cross-stich pattern, it will already be marked out in 10x10 blocks eliminating the need to do so much counting. Cross-stich patterns are easily available in books that you can put a metal sheet behind and use magnet strips to keep track of your rows. I've been doing this for decades.

      I’m sure that you’re going to make beautiful things!!! 😊💕🌷 I just wanted to let you know that God loves you. Jesus, the son of God, lived and died for us. He lived a perfect, sinless life, as an atonement for sins. If we believe in Him, He forgives our sins, changes our hearts, and gifts us eternal life in heaven. There is no pain, suffering, or death there. Pray to Him and ask Him to change your heart and ask Him to forgive you ❤ the Bible, which is Gods word to us, says this in John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

    If you don’t want to always weave in ends, but also don’t want your back to look, well. Like that. I suggest you try tapestry crochet techniques like I learned, where instead of dropping the yarn completely, you crochet over the unused color in the back. I’ve done this a lot, and while the extra color may peak through the front, and the back may still look a little messy, it’s waaaaay neater! You can also just cut and weave in! God bless!

    • @Vivi_LaRue
      @Vivi_LaRue Год назад +6

      I do a LOT of graphgans. I either crochet over the unused color or use bobbins. It depends on the frequency of color changes or how far I’d have to carry the yarn along. The front of her work looks good. The back makes me want to cry.

    • @lucied2725
      @lucied2725 Год назад +2

      What do you mean exactly by « crochet over unused color in the back » ? I’m a newbie 😅

    • @TwilightLanayru
      @TwilightLanayru Год назад +1

      @@lucied2725 when you yarn over, similar to crocheting over the end of your yarn instead of weaving in, crochet over the alternate color while pulling it along. Typically you see this in the round, but it can be used on a flat pieces as well! It’s a bit hard to explain, but if you google how to do tapestry crochet, you can learn different techniques! That’s what I had to do as well when I was learning!

    I believe if you are left handed it’s the same thing but backwards. So instead of your row one going from right to left, it’d go from left to right. Your rows would basically be reversed, your odds would go left to right, your evens would go right to left. That’s just how I did it and it worked for me, do whatever feels comfortable for you!

    Ur the first person I’ve found that crochets the way I do and I’m so happy 😭. It almost feels awkward trying to do patterns when other people hold their yarn differently I tend to get confused for some reason.
