That guitar makes me feel like I’m on a pirate ship down in the West Indies running from some mean ass English privateer with a Letter of Marque trying to steal my hold full of treasure when all of a sudden we come across a hidden lagoon and while away the days chilling on the sand, drinking coconut water and having giant tortoise races. Safe to say this music speaks to me.
I'ma just say it - awsome musicians, lovely back story, fun loving folk. The string players strike a fantastic um, tension as they play, many miss out on the beat that the drums and bass carry on as if they know they are the rock behind the myriad of notes coming from the guitarist. TY

I like the sound. It reminds me of Ethiopian or Eritrean music. It’s funny to see the audience are mostly guys... for some odd reason. The drummer and lead are church going guys from Houston.
They are inspired by Thai molam and lukthung music. The way the guitar is played is similar to some of the African music I've heard. I assume Eritrean music fits in there.
I was thinking; If a dude was feeling sexy, he couldn’t just strut out on stage and thump away at his bass with no pants on. Then I remembered Flea from the Chili Peppers!
It's very important to display one's buttocks properly while playing bass. I love this band. So unusual. I wouldn't often want to hear non-stop guitar licks, but this is why they exist, and it works.
