It amazed me how much better the Shapoko was put together vs the Xcarve. Really cool how they were able to fit everything into one box, and have things partially assembled, also it's a better product overall.

Funny that you mention zip ties. I just finished mine and was short several zip ties.
When is the next video coming? I love that table and I’m about to purchase a shapeoko. Definitely will be building a table like that for it to sit on.

Sneak peak spoiler!! You could have added a spindle for less than a enclosure cost. Sound level would be about the same and you could still tile larger pieces!!
Thank you for taking the time to make this video, I pulled the trigger yesterday and ordered my XXL. I want to make an enclosure but I would like to mount the control box on the outside...are the wires long enough to do that?
I would say yes. I just posted my new video on my box and it is a big enclosure, but everything fits and all cables are plenty long enough.
You should seriously consider adding a E-Stop!! It is just a button that allows you to initialize the pause feature instantly in case of emergencies!!
I’m actually going to do this as soon as I can walk again!
Thanks for the video. I will be building mine tonight. I have set aside a whole shop night as to take my time. even two nights if needed. I have seen many videos about tram and squaring the actual router to the surface. Have you had to do that yet? Thanks.
Mike Marrazzo Midnight Maker I have a little bit. But not with a tool. More so with line of sight and trial and error. It’s much easier with a tram tool but I can’t afford it yet.

The belts should be as tight as the bolts are long. If you can just start the m5 hex head into the belt bracket then that should tighten your belts correctly.
Next you should take those feet off and set your entire machine onto a piece of 1" foam insulation. The base is known to sag unless you upgrade to aluminum extrusion base.

Adam Gurian it was a great investment for us we love it! My garage is 20’ x 20’. The table that the Shapeoko sits in is 4’ x 5’
