      Same. It also gives me ideas for things that I would like to do but won't ever get around to. Our worse, I'll end up buying the parts and they'll sit on my shelf and not get used.

    PC cooling is cool 😉 but an All-In-One like the cw3000 is a lot easier and has a pump that will outdo any PC pump, it has a built in alarm, 9L tank (which keeps it cooler longer) and temperature monitoring. it’s not refrigerated but neither is the radiator setup. I’ve done both and will never go back to PC parts.

    • @DIYEngineering
      @DIYEngineering  2 года назад

    For much less than the cost of the parts to build your spindle cooling, any reason you didn't just go with an S&A CW-3000 ambient chiller? For only a little more than what you paid, you could have gone with a CW-5000 refrigerated chiller.

    • @DIYEngineering

      this is but one solution, I like it because it is modular (meaning I can extend and customize as my needs change) and customized to my specific enclosure, cnc and climate needs. there are cheaper solutions, heck some people use a bucket and fountain pump. this works for me.

For instance ruclips.net/video/4tpxgZUYGSI/видео.html I've seen some videos on how to do closed loop steppers so that if the stepper has problems the driver stops it so it doesn't destroy itself but the closed loop approach looks to be extremely complicated.
